  1. Who cares about a WONDERLIC score? All I care about is championships. Which is what he brought to the University of Texas and what he'll bring to whatever NFL team takes him in this year's draft. Oh how I wish Buffalo would have lost a few more games last year so that we'd be in a position to take this guy.
  2. Sign Aaron Brooks now! Aaron Brooks at QB would also help JP develop, seeing as how they have some similarities in style of play.
  3. I hope Jauron gives Woodbury a shot to win the QB job next season. They say it will be an open competition; however, I rarely see that actually happen in the NFL.
  4. I remember in 1991, the day after Super Bowl 25, people were cheering for Scott Norwood at the downtown rally after he missed the biggest kick in Bills history. I remember thinking that day that "BILLS" fans were the most positive fans around. I'm sure the night before, most fans wanted to kill Norwood; however, the scene that next day was something I'll remember forever. It was a "BILLS" moment I'll never forget. It showed me how cool we really are. What has happened to that positive attitude amongst Bills fans? Is it still around or has everyone become too negative?
  5. Upon further review, I will give Jauron a chance. Last night, I said that I was probably not going to renew my NFL Sunday Ticket due to this recent hiring. The truth of the matter is this, no matter how bad the Bills are, I always have renewed hope every September. I keep coming back because I want to be there when this team wins the Super Bowl, of which they eventually will. The Bills are my team, good or bad, and I will indeed renew my Sunday Ticket to watch my Bills every week, as I've done every year in past. GO BILLS IN 2006.
  6. Seeing as how I live out of Buffalo, the only way I can watch our Bills is by purchasing the NFL Sunday Ticket every year. With this apparent head coaching hire, I'm probably not going to buy the ticket next year. If I feel this way about watching it on TV, I can't imagine what season ticket holders are going through right now. I hope the Buffalo media asks some tough questions at the interview tomorrow to Marv and Ralph. I don't believe we are committed to winning. If we keep going this direction, it's off to Los Angeles for this franchise in a few years. I hate the thought of that.
  7. I hope Marv and Ralph keep interviewing every possible candidate (Tice, Martz, Fassell, Reeves, etc...) before settling. Personally, I would like to see Sherman get the job. Do the Bills have any future interviews scheduled, other than Jauron and Sherman?
  8. If Ralph wants to win immediately, he needs to break out his checkbook and sign a high priced quality coach and some high priced free agents. Ralph says he wants to win immediately; however, he doesn't pony up the cash to make that happen. It's time for us to stop shopping at Wal Mart for coaches and players.
  9. Trade our 8th pick in the 1st round and our 3rd round pick (from Tennessee), along with JP Losman, to the Saints for the number 2 pick in the NFL draft. With that pick, select QB Vince Young. I seem to remember Mularkey doing some pretty good things with Kordell Stewart in Pittsburgh. Even in his prime, Kordell wasn't half the player of Vince Young. The rest of the draft we can use to shore up our O-line and D-line. On a side note, I was happy to see that we brought Tory Woodbury back. I hope he gets a chance to compete for the starting job at training camp.
  10. Keys to success: Pick up Aaron Brooks as our QB (running QB who can groom Losman). Cut Kelly Holcomb and make JP Losman the backup QB. Draft Marcus Vick in 3rd - 5th round. Groom him if JP doesn't work out. Vick is a running QB as well. Sign McGahee. Go into free agency and buy some O-linemen and D-Linemen. I trust free agency more than the draft. Make Sam Wyche the Offensive Coordinator. Hire Jim Haslett as our Defensive Coordinator.
  11. In the draft this year, I say we pick up Brad Smith from Missouri or Vince Young from Texas (if he enters the draft, which he probably won't this year). In fact, I'd go out and get Daunte Culpepper if we need a proven veteran. He's certainly a better option than Brett Favre. Heck, right now I'd welcome Tory Woodbury back to the Bills. He seemed to have some fire in him. However, in the 1st round, we need to select Rod Wright from The University of Texas. We can pick up Brad Smith in the 2nd or 3rd round.
  12. People that need to be voted off of the island of BUFFALO: Tom Donahoe, Mike Mularkey, Nate Clements, Mike Williams, Kelly Holcomb, Coy Wire, Josh Reed People that can stay on the island for another year: London Fletcher, Willis McGahee (for a lesser price), JP Losman (as a backup), Eric Moulds (for a lesser price), Takeo Spikes, Sam Wyche, McNally, Jerry Gray (for another year) Whom did I leave out?
  13. If he declares for the draft, I say we draft Vince Young and trade away JP Losman for an offensive lineman or two.
  14. Of course the players support Holcomb more than Losman. You want to go with the guy that gives you the best opportunity to WIN. That's the problem with too many coaches, they don't go with the players that give them the best chance of winning ball games each week. Instead, politics resides in management, coaching, etc... It happens in college and it happens in the NFL. Sad, but true. This isn't the first time the Bills have gone with the wrong guy. Anyone remember the Rob Johnson experiment? Flutie gave us the best chance to win; however, management went with the taller and less experienced Rob Johnson.
  15. So who does everyone want in the 2006 draft?
  16. After reading the AP article about Kelly Holcomb, one sentence jumped out to me: "Holcomb said the decision (on who starts Sunday's game with the Jets) rests with Mularkey and team president Tom Donahoe". We need a GM that allows the coaches to make the calls they feel are best for the team. The coaches know who is best suited to play each position week in and week out. I trust them way more than I do a GM sitting in a box. Again, another example of Donahoe not allowing his coaches to coach. Your thoughts????????
  17. Good move going with Holcomb today. I feel we would have lost with Losman at the helm. Bring on the Jets.
