  1. But it is. Nice one!
  2. Everyone who will be there next week: Please make it so.
  3. I'm sure the Raider fans have non-calls to B word about, too. As it was, the refs called a pretty good game.
  4. Moore had two absolutely amazing catches, one of which was the TD. I don't think you're wrong. The kid heard the call and had a breakout game. Good for him. Better for us that it didn't matter in the end. I am putting Moore on my FF team as soon as waivers open on Tuesday, BTW; that wasn't the Bills' secondary--that was a great rookie performance.
  5. Because what a GOOD coach says during a presser isn't always accurate when it comes to injuries. I'm guessing you don't follow the Sabres (which is ok), where a "minor upper body injury" could be a broken shoulder.
  6. They didn't shut it off in Buffalo. They went to the Chargers game immediately after the close of play and did not show the review upholding the interception. We saw the whole game on CBS in Buffalo.
  7. Really? If the situation were reversed, and I didn't get to see kickoff of the Bills-Raiders game here in Buffalo because the Cheats and Chargers were in a tight fourth quarter, I'd be pretty pissed off.
  8. Best plan I've seen so far. The "injure him" stuff results in an injured Fitz, too.
  9. Wow, there are some slow people on this board. Must take 'em a whole DAY to watch 60 Minutes.
  10. Except they'll do the same thing on our next drive, and you can take that to the bank. And Mallett will beat Thigpen.
  11. The entire broadcast was cut off. Even in Buffalo, CBS went to the San Diego game. It was the right call. (Can't imagine what the parking lots would have looked like if people started finding out that the call was overturned as they got to the lots!)
  12. They should, because Ruvell Martin needs to go.
  13. The guy is universally heralded by the media. All. The. Time. And for no reason other than he plays for Dallas. And sure, he played an ok game against the Jets. He plays a lot of ok games--he doesn't play a lot of awesome ones. Among the Qs who played for teams at or near 6-10 last year, which one do you hear about the most--as a "game-changer," a "star," a "franchise Q"? Do you hear about the Q for Miami? Washington, Cleveland, Tennessee, Detroit, or Minnesota (ok, he left)? San Fran or even Oakland (8-8)? Nope. You hear about Romo as if he were a top-five Q in the NFL. He's not. Not even close. If you put Fitz in Dallas, he does slightly better than Romo. If you put Romo in Buffalo, he does about as well as Fitz. Dude is overrated, bigtime.
  14. Uh...yes. If Romo were the QB in Seattle or Jacksonville, we wouldn't hear a thing about him. He's successful (reputation-wise) because he plays in Dallas and not vice-versa. F, Clint Stoerner was a household name for a few weeks just because of the cowgirls. EDIT: Oh, and let's not forget Quincy Carter, either.
  15. There was, is not now, and never will be, an excuse for that game. Pittsburgh was completely rolling over and the should-have-been-playoff-hungry Bills lost to a bunch of guys chasing roster spots on other teams for the next season. You are absolutely right on.
  16. For those who are angry, see tonyhomo.com . It's a parody blog "by" Drew.
  17. I don't think you got his point, either. He's not talking about the players being jerks; he's talking about the fear of non-whites that is, unfortunately, pervasive throughout WNY. See above. (You also could just read the comments in any online Buffalo News article any time a non-white person is arrested for a crime in the Buffalo area.)
  18. Very clever. Thanks for posting it.
  19. He may be right. There's a lot of fear of non-whites in Buffalo. I'm not sure it was meant in poor taste; it could be an honest (and accurate) criticism of our community. (If MIke Grier showed up on my doorstep, I'd call AARP and not 911.)
  20. Suck this.
  21. Guess I gotta just disagree, then. It's the eve of preseason (5 days away from first game, 3 from training camp), the team's youngsters are on TV tonight, and there was a major signing today. It's not like they dedicated the whole morning to it, like a few people have said. EDIT--also, I'm pretty sure that in this market, the NHL is second in popularity among every sport we've seen mentioned so far. Not 6th or 7th. And it's a local broadcast.
  22. Not sure about NASCAR; I've heard that it has fallen off. More importantly: doesn't matter; McDonald's is a lot more popular than most of the restaurants that I eat at, too. That doesn't mean I eat at 5th- and 6th-rate restaurants, does it? Soccer is more popular than football. Are you a big soccer fan? Do you only follow things that are popular? Or are you just the guy who has to point out that what someone else likes isn't something that he likes?
  23. Hell, I watch hockey over PRO football. Always have. Always will. Doesn't make me less of a Bills fan just because I like another sport better.
  24. Plenty of mornings were spent, in part, discussing the NFL draft when the Sabres were in a playoff run, too. I have no idea what OP's agenda was, but it's simply incorrect that they didn't talk football this morning.
  25. That's not true. In fact, they spent some time talking about how they felt unfairly criticized for talking football three days after a game. It's possible that you only listened to the interview with Jordan Leopold (which was scheduled and is normal just before a preseason) or the discussion about the Myers contract (which is big news), but they definitely did not spend the entire morning talking hockey.
