How much did you guys think we were going to lose by?
I was with a date-- a Giants fan. She was upset because Pit was up 12-0 or something. Oakland was about to score, and I told her, hey, the Bills are going to lose this, too. She said, what, they're up big. I said, trust me, they're going to lose.
At least we're seeing each other again.

on the day of the start of the NFL season, we get Sabres hockey hotline.
*sigh*
On the day Jack Eichel might be lost for the season, we get the John Murphy Show.
-
Murphy just reported that as well.
-
In any event, your nightmare is over. John Murphy is on to pitch softballs to Bills players and staff.
-
The Sabres haven't played an important game since T Pegs took over.
Yeah, those playoff games against the Flyers were meaningless.
-
I'm sure the afternoon show will have talk about tennis and favorite foods.
You didn't read this, did you?:
I have been listening in my commute home for several years. Have never heard Mike talk tennis. So, that complaint seems reasonable.
They also do maybe 2 of those fun drafts per year during dead periods. So, you doubled down with that one.
-
Time and a place. No need for a hockey show today . Hopefully never on Mondays as well
There is a need for a hockey show today; Jack Eichel is playing tonight.
That said, these two are going on and on about the anthem bull **** and not talking hockey anyway.
-
I think that more than 4x as many WNYers watch the football game vs. the hockey game.
That's probably right. But it doesn't matter. For two hours, we hockey fans get to listen to SHH. (And by the way, they do talk football occasionally; last week they had Donald Jones on.) I assure you that for the rest of the day, WGR will pay proper attention to tonight's out-of-market football game.

Wouldn't get into any reason why he was released other than Lorenzo beating him out.
Thanks man. Hope to see you over at SabreSpace again soon. It's been a while. --11.

For those who listened to Ryan's presser: What did he say about this?
-
Odd choice because of the depth there but he can play.
Depth at RB or depth at Williams?
-
It's barely a 4th round pick. It was essentially a 5th.
Missed it by one minute!
-
Good use of the last pick in the fourth round. Five minutes later, and we'd be talking about the Bills spending a fifth round pick on him. I can't understand criticism of this pick.

At this point in his career Tannehill is pretty much the definition of mediocre. It's his 4th season and he has started 51 games so the "he's still developing" argument really falls upon deaf ears.
24-27 W-L record with decent talent around him, 84 QB rating, <7 yards/attempt...nothing stellar about those numbers. Can't hit the deep ball, relies almost exclusively on quick, short passing game. Has also failed in clutch late season opportunities when Fish could have pushed for a playoff spot.
He has protected the ball rather well (68/45 TD/INT ratio) but that's not completely surprising when you look at the sort of passes he throws (low risk).
Tannehill is the sort of QB whose stats will look decent at the end of the season, but never wows you or is a difference maker.
Perfect.
It's kind of interesting... you're either a top 10 QB, or you're ****.
Seems there's no middle ground, which is where I feel QBs like Tannehill sit.
He's about as "middle ground" as one can get.
Barbarian's been touting him as a star since he was at A&M, which is why I found it necessary to needle him a little bit.
No big deal either way.
not to derail the thread .
How many other QB's were people suggesting for Buffalo in the offseason? And how well are those others doing
1. Good, let's not.
2. Irrelevant.
-
What was his impression of Tanny? It was probably closer than your (incorrect one) of "He's not good, he wasn't good, and he really never will be good."
0/3 on the day.
All I have to judge on is 2 (now 3) games. And I don't remember saying anything too inflammatory, other than the defense sucked against the Pats. Which I probably will still believe after 16 games.
Go back to Tanny's draft year and read his posts. Tanny was going to be a freaking HOFer.
I like Barbarian; I want him to own up.
Betcha' goin' fishin' all o' da' time, baby, goin' fishin' too Bet yo' life, yo' sweet wife, catch mo' fish than you Many fish bites if ya' got good bait
Here's a little tip that I would like to relate Fred's Ghost goin fishin', Offsides goin' fishin’ And baby goin' fishin' too.
I have no idea what this means. It's written nicely in the Uncle Remus style, but other than that, your effort (which seems considerable) is lost on me.
-
Because you have a penchant for embarrassment?
I get it; you're Barbarian's daughter. It's nice of you to stick up for your dad. This thread, though, was dedicated to HIS impressions of Tannehill. Wake daddy up and ask him to respond, ok?
-
If Tyrod Taylor throws for 4000 yards, 27 TD's 12 INT's and completes 66.4% of his passes, will you call him mediocre?
#Mediocre #e.g.Fitz
Oh, do shut up. You're out of your mind and you're out of your depth, and you apparently have no idea why I posted this to begin with.
-
Sometimes people claim their Talleywhackers are better than they really are. It happens.
Yes. And I think the guy whose name still is a reference to Chan Gailey is one of them. I have no idea why.
-
You're wrong. Tanny was very good last year.
Another "evaluation" based on two games a year.
It's based on 3 plus years, now, which is how I judge QBs. How was he in the playoffs last year? Oh. I forgot. And how do we judge Bills QBs? Oh yeah. Same thing for Tanny, buddy.
-
The Bills D has owned Tannehill. He looks decent against other teams and usually horrible vs the Bills.
He never has looked better than mediocre, e.g. Fitz, and Barb owes us this.
Not sure if you were here the year Tannehill was drafted, but it was BRUTAL.
-
well, that's what you get for reading his posts
IMO, outside of his opinion on this particular QB, I don't think his posts are bad at all. And he seems to be a pretty nice guy.
But on this, Barbarian, I've fought you, and you've been fighting for too long. Own it and own up.
-
hard to really tell when he's got zero support from anywhere
and I mean anywhere
It really doesn't matter.
It's time, Barbarian.

Here are my thoughts on him from 11 years ago, after he blew a 20-point lead against the fins:
