I for one am sad to see it end.

I think most of what they put out on ESPN is unwatchable, but I have always been a loyal fan of ATH and PTI. The show definitely leaned more towards "Sports-Entertainment than Sports news, but I always enjoyed hearing the opinions of sports journalists around the country on the Sports stories of the day. I might not have agreed with all of their opinions, or liked every one of the panelists they had over the years, but it was always a fun watch, and Tony Reali really seemed to be the perfect host for this show.

They actually said that Reali hosted more episodes of his show than Oprah or David Letterman hosted theirs!

I wish the best of luck to Tony Reali and all the people involved with Around the Horn in their future endeavors, and thanks for 22 years of entertaining TV.

ATH was the birth of ESPN's current model, and so it was bad for the world.  But it was a fantastic show, so it was good.

WGR guys were talking with a UK radio guy about him yesterday; they had me convinced that he'd be a good day 3 pick.

DRJr has already changed the design. Clearly so as not to upset Lamar’s mom 😆. Has the sports world not had other very famous #8’s 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not just the sports world, but specifically the Baltimore sports world.

A sneak onside kick is no longer possible and those were recovered at a much higher rate than regular, expected onside kicks. I think the recovery percentage last year was somewhere around 7%.

I’m cool with a 4th down snap from the 30 replacing the onside kick, but keep it at 15 yards. I do worry about officiating influencing the play, especially a ticky tack call.

Could give teams the option between the kick and the fake fourth down.  There's no reason to eliminate the kick, and no reason for the NFL to limit it the way it currently is.

  6. I don't understand why leagues are in such a rush to get rid of one of the most exciting plays in sports.  I truly don't.  I realize that the Steve Christie sneak onside kick may be over and done with forever, but please, football leagues, allow onside kicks throughout the entire game.

McD and Beane draft a player who lacks the tools to be a successful NFL player and then McD hangs said rookie out to dry in the media.

    Accountability.

Well, he has the tools to be a successful NFL player, for sure, but he's no Xavier Worthy.

They are trying to create a real incentive for teams to kick short of the goal line to increase the number of returns. They can't find the line between entertainment and player safety.

    They want returns.  That will

    make that happen.

Expanding the landing zone or whatever they call that gimmick would be the better move.
