  1. Yeah - it wouldn't be the first time that emails got leaked from MS.

I certainly don't know either way, whether they are real or not, but the documents simply look a little "fishy". I have personally never seen a "plaintiffs exhibit" and "government exhibit" stamp on the same page. That and the fact that zero credible news sources have reported this, makes me think twice.

  2. Halo and Halo2. :)

The accuracy just isn't there like it is with a keyboard/mouse combo. They compensate for this on consoles by making it so you don't have to be as exact with your aiming, but I think that's a lame compromise.

The only thing that rocked about playing Halo was that it was on my projector with surround sound. Other than that, not impressed.

Hmm. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.

  3. I can see where this thread is going and its hilarious. It just goes to show you that Bills fans will NEVER BE HAPPY! As soon as McGahee is gone, we will probably acquire someone worse, and then they will get rampaged by the fans, and on and on. There were Bills fans who complained about Thurman Thomas when he was in his prime. Our offensive line sucks, so we give Losman a pass. Yet McGahee gets the axe. Hilarious.

  4. I wouldn't recommend upgrading. In fact, we have a MS rep that works in our company and he even said don't bother upgrading until at least SP1 (and even then, he said it's not that big a deal).

He also said that if people had a choice in MS, most would use Macs (himself included) instead of Vista.

Based on that, combined with the DRM/licensing issues I've read about, means I'll be waiting for a very long time (and everyone else should, but probably won't...)

Thats odd (what he said about mac's). Personally I just dont like Mac's. I will take Windows anyday. People always complain about it crashing or bugs or whatever. I very rarely have problems. It makes me wonder if the people having problems simply download to much junk onto their PC.

  5. The biggest playability advantage is that things JUST WORK. Pop in a disk, and you're playing in 30 seconds. With a PC, you have to frequently update drivers, fix conflicts, blah blah blah. I still play PC games, but it's just not a "fire and forget" like a console is, and frankly after fixing computers at work for 10 hours a day, I don't usually want to come home and do teh same thing.

That said, first person shooters still suck on consoles :(

You may possibly be playing the wrong first person shooters.

  6. I am actually very surprised by all of the previous replies. Personally I do not see a police officer as any more of a citizen than a homeless man. They took a JOB to protect and serve the community. Again, I personally do not believe putting someone in jail for giving a police officer (note: citizen who has a JOB), the middle finger, is a good policy. Heck, we support US/Eichman, and then put someone in jail for raising the middle finger. What is more offensive?

On another note, I think giving anyone the middle finger is disrespectful and is stupid. Whether its a police officer or not.

The police officer wasn't being thin-skinned. Part of an officer's job is to send the message that if you mess with someone wearing that uniform, you're going to pay.

I don't believe you will be able to find that in any police officer handbook, anywhere. Well unless were talking about the campus police at UCLA.

  7. Not for long.......

Please stop posting to me. You're responses are ridiculous. No matter how hard you try, you are not going to get me to enjoy a video gaming system that features graphics that are barely on level with some of the first games of the FIRST Xbox. It is fun to play with my nephews as it only takes about 2 minutes to learn how to play. That is all.

  8. Long time no see daquix. YOU LOVE THE WII! AMAZING! SOUNDS LIKE IT! THE POWER OF THE WII COMPELS YOU!

Step out of fantasy land for a moment. I never said I loved the Wii, nor that its "power" compels me. I simply said its a fun system, but I STILL prefer the 360.

  9. Considering that members of the Bills organization(Marv.) have publicly stated that there was a verbal agreement, if we reneged on the deal then NC could certainly sue for breach of contract(verbal) & loss of potential income due to the breach........I'm assuming here but it sounds correct to me.

That is actually correct ... unless there is a clause written into the NFL somewhere.

  10. Does anyone think that maybe Clements (under a salary that would make him close to the highest paid player at his position) is just not in the Bills coaching staffs plans? Maybe since the Cover 2 doesn't require top rated CB's to be successful, the Bills figure they could spend the money in a better spot. I trust the bills coaching staff over a bunch of fans as to what this team really needs. And just because the Bills have cap room, doesn't mean they plan to spend it. Spending money doesn't equate to success, just more of a chance of running into cap problems later.

Is our defensive plans/scheme going to change next season? I remember a few games where Clements was probably THE deciding factor in winning us the game ... remember Greenbay? And then I believe he had another key batted down pass in Houston. He also had a HUGE INT in the Jets game and a big INT in the Miami game. One COULD argue that if Clements was not on our team last year, we would have lost to Greenbay and Houston, and the Miami and Jets games would have been a heck of a lot closer.

  11. In other words, you know/understand less than zero about how the salary cap works.

Kelly is actually right, because we would have much LESS than 9 million count against the cap for Nate this year .... contracts tend to be backloaded, which Is why I and other posters suggested doing a front-loaded contract in this case.

  12. that averages to $9mill/season. we're $39mil under. that leaves us with $30mil left....

as much as i dont think he should be the TOP paid guy, i think id do it

Its an impossible battle. Most people on this board do not like to think that way. I have been saying this all season.

  13. I really like the Wii, its fun for us old timers :wallbash: Have no idea of the technology behind any of these systems, but dam my arms and shoulders are sore! BTW, had a blast playing some of the sports games with the kids last night. As Daq said, my quess is this system is designed for the old set like me, and the young set, like my kids. All I have right now are the sport games that came with the console, but compared to the XBOX that collects dust in my TV room upstairs, I would say the graphics are not as good on the WII, so I can only imagine how good they are on the 360.

But, I was playing the games and having fun with them in 5 minutes, and I spent at least 4 hrs each trying to learn Halo and Call of Duty and just gave up, became more work than play, so I'll take the Wii

This is precisely what I was talking about when I said the Wii is probably not for the "hardcore" gamer. Though it is fun.

  14. I can throw an expensive graphics card into my PC for 1/4 the cost of the 360 and get just as good graphics and better playablity. Plus I can upgrade my PC without throwing it out every 2 years like you have to with the console.

As Fezmid said, I have a hard time believing you can get a graphics card that can match the 360 for $75. Secondly, I could not fathom the thought of playing any game with my keyboard or mouse ... so there I have to spend more money for a PC controller/joystick. And then there is the factor that I won't have this beautiful invention called Xbox live. Will?

In fact I did a quick search and quickly came up with an article from FiringSquad.com about the Xbox 360:

"In many ways, Xbox 360's graphics processor goes well beyond anything we currently have available on the PC. In today's article, we go over all the details of ATI's architecture with ATI VP of Engineering, Bob Feldstein. Bob discusses everything ranging from the 48 pipes, to ATI's "AA" for free comment. Catch all the details inside!"

"'Providing developers throw instructions at our architecture in the right way, Xenos can run at 100 per cent efficiency all the time, rather than having some pipeline instructions waiting for others," Huddy explained. "For comparison, most high-end PC chips run at 50-60% typical efficiency...'"

  15. I’ve played just about every game system/arcade machine since space invaders and I prefer the Wii not because I can’t handle the “advanced consoles” but because it’s different. The new consoles have still not improved upon or moved beyond the PC game environment. I had a more realistic 3D shooter experience playing Duke Nukem and especially Half life 10 or 12 years ago on my PC networked and online.

Have you played xbox360 yet? I don't believe there is a more "realistic" platform right now than the Xbox. The graphics on Nintendo Wii are far inferior to both the Xbox360 and PS3, so if your judging by the performance of the Wii VS the PC, then I would probably agree with you.
