  1. The Patriots already had a good offensive line, HOF backup QB, and an all-star secondary featuring Ty-Law when they started their approach.
  2. Maybe it is just me, but for the one of the first times in YEARS, I have a pessimistic look on the AFC East. I would usually say "Pats will kick ..." etc. Yet Brady will be back next year, with basically the same porous WR's. The Patriots defense looks as if it will worsen, as Seau will be ANOTHER year older, and they will probably lose Samuel to Free Agency. I guess the good thing for them is that Maroney has a year under his belt. The Jets? Come on man. The Jets barely squeeked in the playoffs. We should have beaten them in the first game, and they should have lost a few other games down the schedule. Luck will sometimes swing to the other team, and I expect the Jets to feel that next year. The Fins, have no hope (IMO) for next year. Daunte? I HOPE Culpepper is their QB. We had a ton of fun with him last year, as did the rest of the league before he went on IR.
  3. Ditto. It works both ways. Good corners make a porous D-line better, and a good D-line make a porous secondary better. You can't just mix and pick what you want to be true. If we let Nate Clements go, our secondary is going to take a HUGE blow. In fact I believe a good LB core can make a D-Line look better than they really are. Personally I would focus on Secondary, and the Linebacking core, and try to fill in the holes of the D-Line elsewhere.
  4. To Bills fans, I believe so. Yet to the NFL as a whole, they would consider us as drafting a top 20 NFL QB, a top 10 NFL receiver, and Jason who?
  5. I am wondering what the board overall truly believes we will do this off season. Do you believe that we will make a big splash? After all, the last "big acquisition" we made was bringing in Takeo Spikes, nearly 5 off-seasons ago. What was our last really productive trade? What was our last 'all-star' draft pick? Just wondering what you all think. Have at it.
  6. Just wanted to throw out an interesting band for anyone looking for something new or interesting in the music genre. They remind me (somewhat) of Panic! At The Disco. http://www.purevolume.com/thehushsound
  7. Yes, and his record is also unbelievable and he has a SB ring now also. Give me that jerk anyday.
  8. I do somewhat agree with Smokin, but I also agree with what you just said above. If it was a regular season, or playoff game then I would'nt have minded at all. Heck I would have even been impressed with the hit. But when its the Pro-Bowl or the pre-season I think you should take it a little less rough. Mainly due to injuries and what not.
  9. I actually am not making any apologies for McGahee. I am simply not going to be the prototypical fan who wants to throwout every player they seem fit, for whatever reasons they see fit. So I take it that you were utterly ashamed of Jim Kelly, once the stories were leaked that he was a "drunk" partyer during the Super Bowl years, including the nights before the Super Bowls? In fact I was young, yet I never claimed that I 'remembered' anything. I only said that people DID complain about Thurman Thomas. Now, how could someone who was young at the time know such a thing? Well maybe it has something to do with the fact that he grew up in a household infatuated with the Buffalo Bills and they remember (very clearly) people at the games, on the radio ... etc who did in fact complain about certain aspects of Thurman Thomas. Yet for some reason CollegeGuy had to assume, and when you ASS.U.ME ... well you get the picture. So what did we learn? 1. Read a persons full post instead of just responding. (I never said I "remembered" anything) 2. Don't assume. If I was much older, my ability to research and see what people said at the time would be so much greater and therefore he would have no problem with my opinion. Its kinda funny isn't it?
  10. OK. Just so I have this straight. You are saying that if an athlete says he is the best (and is not), have multiple children, and say a few dumb things, they surely should be cut. Does that about sum your opinion up? Heck, I think most of the NFL athletes should be thrown out, under your determination of a players worth. We are actually taking the consideration of the NYJ fans as truth now? Earlier in the year we were critisizing their opinions. Oh how times change. Also, I take it you are personal friends of Thurman Thomas, and he clearly told you after each game that he assuredly gave his 100% ... right? Thats about right. Do I really have to explain that just because one facet of offense does better due to a switch, does not necessarily mean that they ENTIRE offense will do better (including RB, Willis McGahee)?
  11. Not sure if this was posted before, but check this out. Click on "Click Here for Audio" to hear the actual conversation between the person and Verizon's representatives. http://verizonmath.blogspot.com/2006/12/ve...from-cents.html
  12. I can see where this thread is going and its hilarious. It just goes to show you that Bills fans will NEVER BE HAPPY! As soon as McGahee is gone, we will probably acquire someone worse, and then they will get rampaged by the fans, and on and on. There were Bills fans who complained about Thurman Thomas when he was in his prime. Our offensive line sucks, so we give Losman a pass. Yet McGahee gets the axe. Hilarious.
  13. A ton of money tends to ease some players achy hearts.
  14. I am actually very surprised by all of the previous replies. Personally I do not see a police officer as any more of a citizen than a homeless man. They took a JOB to protect and serve the community. Again, I personally do not believe putting someone in jail for giving a police officer (note: citizen who has a JOB), the middle finger, is a good policy. Heck, we support US/Eichman, and then put someone in jail for raising the middle finger. What is more offensive? On another note, I think giving anyone the middle finger is disrespectful and is stupid. Whether its a police officer or not. I don't believe you will be able to find that in any police officer handbook, anywhere. Well unless were talking about the campus police at UCLA.
  15. That is actually correct ... unless there is a clause written into the NFL somewhere.
  16. I often have the same thought when I see people correcting others spelling and grammar on this board.
  17. Is our defensive plans/scheme going to change next season? I remember a few games where Clements was probably THE deciding factor in winning us the game ... remember Greenbay? And then I believe he had another key batted down pass in Houston. He also had a HUGE INT in the Jets game and a big INT in the Miami game. One COULD argue that if Clements was not on our team last year, we would have lost to Greenbay and Houston, and the Miami and Jets games would have been a heck of a lot closer.
  18. Kelly is actually right, because we would have much LESS than 9 million count against the cap for Nate this year .... contracts tend to be backloaded, which Is why I and other posters suggested doing a front-loaded contract in this case.
  19. Its an impossible battle. Most people on this board do not like to think that way. I have been saying this all season.
  20. Surfing through their website I came upon an article that was really odd: http://www.kkk.bz/weekly11.htm Since I know VERY little about the KKK (other than what I have seen in movies ... etc) can anyone explain why a group that is known for their extreme racial hostilities would possibly allow this article on their website?
