  1. So since none of us are football "experts" (BTW, what makes you an expert? A spot on ESPN? ) we might as well not post our opinions and replies.
  2. Gray made the CB's line up off of the WR's by about 20 yards ...
  3. The reason? Its called basic football knowledge. M-M system will have the cornerbacks covering a particular side. Not just a receiver. Once in a while you will see a team explain that tehy decided to assign a CB to a particular receiver, but in most games the CB simply plays his side. Thus why in the same game you would see McGee getting scored on by Driver, and then get burned by Jennings. Its not the coaches on the sidelines saying "hmm ... I think I will put McGee on Driver this play, and then Jennings the next" .... a CB plays his SIDE.
  4. This is one of my biggest fears ... our secondary is going to have 16 consecutive Roy Williams games next year ... and this time without Clements.
  5. Yes and until you take my advice and go to the games or re-view the games, then you really have no standing. I am taking this from REAL evidence. You are making a stance based on your memory of years ago and the present. Which method do you think has a smaller margin of error?
  6. I have made this point several times and no one can seem to refute me on this. CLEMENTS WAS NOT BAD THE FIRST HALF OF THE YEAR! He was simply not making the plays that are seen on television that he was during the second half of the season. During the first half, he still limited his receiver to very few receptions and 0 Touchdowns. His biggest mistake was missing a few tackles. That was it. This was especially easy to see if you went to the games. He did fine the first half of the season. In the second half of the season, he simply started doing things that got him onto television, such as batting down key passes and making good INT's. That is the reason why people think he did so much better. He was SOLID all year long.
  7. Barber is a notch BELOW Clements and is 3 years older. No way you take Barber over Clements.
  8. This has to be the most insane thing I have ever seen. Ty Law? THe guy who has been cut by 2 teams in the past 2 years? Sheppard? Newman? Gamble? O'Neal? Surtain (old!), BARBER???? This must be a joke. I have to go walk a while and lower my blood pressure.
  9. Barber, Gamble, Springs? Newman, Harper? You are living in some other world my friend. I think it is you, that does'nt know football. What a ridiculous list and statement.
  10. About 3 ... which is the difference of us being 7-9 and 4-12. Or perhaps in the future the difference of us being 10-6 and in the playoffs or 7-9 and out of the playoffs.
  11. I would be suprised if Clements was ranked lower than #5 on the leagues top CB lists. 12th ... thats just. Wow.
  12. Yes I understand what you are saying now.
  13. Tell me. What is the common denominator between the Patriots and Bills last year? NEITHER got a SB or Champion sip ring. Playoffs are NOT the goal. 1. ... 2. ... 3. huh? stop cheering for a team when they disappoint you? So I'm guessing you were ecstatic when Norwood missed the kick? Because obviously you could never be disappointed in the Bills. 4. Marv has already stated that we will replace through the draft ... meaning it may take years to replace those players. and you talk about just wanting to make the playoffs for the first time in 6 years
  14. No but that is because those players are BETTER than the other player. For example. If we had Rex Grossman as our QB in the 90's. Who would make more? Bennet or Grossman? Hopefully Bennet. Clements is currently the best player at his position on this team. The only one close is Evans. Clements is in the top 4-5 of CB's in this league ... some would argue in the top 3. Because he is in the top 3 at his position, he should be paid accordingly. Now do you see what I am saying? Yes, Peyton is paid the most. That is because he is the best player at his position.
  15. You were talking about how paying players salaries out of proportion to their teammates will cause the team will crumble .. that is what Indi has been doing for years now and they just won a SB.
  16. 1. I'm not jumping off a bridge. 2. I would have said that we would not make the playoffs. And we didn't. 3. Yes they do. But some teams decide to keep good players when they have 30+ mill in cap space. 4. SD already had a First Round Pick waiting for a few years ... and Brees did awesome in NO also. 5. And lost. Sorry, I didn't realize that playoffs were the goal. I thought Marv said quite clearly that a SB win is our goal. The Patriots have not made the SB since Weiss, Crenell and a few others left.
  17. You mean like what Indi did ... oh wait. They have a SB ring.
  18. Considering we don't have any star QB or OTs, we don't have to pay them anything more. Evans would probably get a nice extension.
  19. Dear IndyJay, Many of the members at twobillsdrive stadium wall, are in fact die hard Bills fans. We simply do not like to lose sight of what a good franchise is, because of others who believe we can turn-around a new player in the same position every two years and hope to be successful. We are still Bills fans, but hey, while were at it, why don't we cut Losman, Evans, and McGahee in hopes of obtaining three players who may possibly be better. After all the Colts did 'yada yada yada' Thank You Someone who has a brain
  20. Simple: if people don't buy a ticket, they probably won't be able to see the game. No way we sell out more than 2 games before opening day.
  21. You forgot the complimentary plane and yacht they give you, if you can make it through half a season without getting injured.
  22. Moulds is a horrible player and was a horrible Bill ... have'nt the people on this board told you that yet?
