  1. Lets admit it guys. As a whole, we are pathetic. I can honestly see now why many other NFL teams fans laugh at us. Just take a look back and look at the stuff being posted on this board. WE WILL NEVER BE SATISFIED. No matter who the coach is. Marv could bring in Belicheck to be the head coach, Parcells to be the defensive coordinator, and Charlie Weiss to be the offensive coordinator and we would still find something to piss and moan about. Please. Someone who has worked in the NFL as a scout - raise your hand! Please. Someone who personally knows the candidates for the head coaching job for the Bills and knows their credentials inside and out - raise your hand! Lastly. Someone who has worked as an NFL head coach and knows the insides and outs of how "easy" it is too make the quick gametime decisions, please raise your hand.
  2. There is nothing confirmed ... but Mularkey didn't quit over nothing.
  3. You mean when Nate Clements (being selfish by his OWN ADMITTANCE) went for the interception on 4th and long instead of batting the ball down? Or do you mean when a mediocre offense had to play the best defense of that year and a 14-1 team?
  4. I think counting the yardage is a good way to measure a defense because when the offense is bad they will be punting a lot, and giving the opponents offense more chances to move the ball. At the same time they have more chances to score. Us keeping them to low yardage just shows that Jerry Gray coached a good defense but there were many a time that the opposing defense picked off Drew Bledsoe or returned a fumble deep into our territory. That is not the defenses fault.
  5. I am just ... I dont know even know how to explain it. Confused I guess is the best word to describe my feelings right now. In the past 3 years, Jerry Gray has coached 1 defense that wasnt in the top 3. After 1 season, he is now considered a reject and should be disheveled to wherever else (forget the fact that he is a head coaching candidate other places). People mocking Mike Mularkey for quitting due to criticism. I highly doubt he quit due to criticism directed towards him, but rather criticism directed towards his family. He has two sons and a wife. I dont know how old his boys are, but If they are still in school, I could'nt even imagine the mental abuse they would have to go through each day from Bills fans and non-Bills fans about their father. Or could you imagine being the wife, who may not be told to her face but turns on the TV and hears complaints about her husband, goes online and sees the same, and hears murmering throughout her neighborhood. To say that they should just "suck it up" is absolutely ridiculous. No one should have to deal with that, whether your father is the head coach of a football team or not. Ridiculous. Mike Mularkey should be able to "suck it up." But his family should not have too.
  6. Do you really want to go back to the talent on our 2001 defense? Come on man, lets use our brains here. The fact that he had 2 straight years of coaching a top 3 ranked defense and the fact that last year and this year he is being considered as a head coach prospect for other teams, just furthers the point that he is a pretty good coach (in my opinion anyway). While he may not be head coach quality, he is a solid defensive coordinator and you will find that out if he leaves and they bring someone else in.
  7. I certainly dont want him as head coach ... but I do want him as our d-coordinator. He had one bad year, and that was with Takeo Spikes injured, Pat Williams gone, and that other DT playing horrid for most of the year.
  8. Is there any official report of him resigning from the team? I heard that from a family member and also on this board ... yet, I keep seeing articles that refer to Jerry Gray as if he is still on the team. Such as saying Bills Defensive Coordinator Jerry Gray interviews for such and such job (I saw that about a week or so ago) and tonight I saw this : So is he still a coach on the Bills or what?
  9. ... and who is their to replace either of these players? Keep them here in my opinion.
  10. Agreed. Unless your playing the 03-04 Dolphins ... then playing them at ANY time, is good.
  11. Well. I dont know. Roscoe Parrish had one of the best averages in the NFL on punt returns.
  12. Stick Barry Sanders behind our line and see if he does much better ... I mean come on man - THINK before we post.
  13. That won't happen because he represents so many players that teams would be commiting free agency suicide by saying they wont accept 90 (probably over 100+ by next year) of the NFL's players.
  14. Mhm ... there is a small chance that they will beat Indi in Indi. Did you read the post at all? Or just the topic?
  15. heck ... i would love to find some Bills fans who dont take only one year into consideration ... this and other posts are ridiculous
  16. Hmm ... 1. Pat Williams - let go 2. Takeo Spikes - injured 3. Nate Clements - possibly worst year of his career 4. Troy Vincent - i n j u r y it seems every few weeks find me a d-coordinator who could have a good year after all that and I will personally call Marv Levy and tell him to sign that guy
  17. Say what you want ... I like Drew Rosenhaus. He gets the most ammount of money for his clients. Terrel Owens is just a different story - he would have trouble with ANY agent - not just Drew Rosenhaus. Its funny that you mentioned Jerry Maguire, because they based "Bob Sugar" from that movie off of Drew Rosenhaus. He also represents over 90 NFL players. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drew_Rosenhaus
  18. Ugh! I should have posted this in the other New England topic
  19. We did not fire McNally because he is widely regarded as one of the best offensive line coaches in the NFL ... but you cant turn crap into Gold.
  20. LOL - thankyou ... making crap up use to be my hobby.
