  1. Ahh, the Chicken A-La-King. I used to always try to get the MRE's that had the cheese spread. I served in the US Army from 91-99, so the one's that were big during my tenure were: Chicken A-La-King Chicken w/Rice Pork w/rice in BBQ sauce spaghetti w/meat sauce Beef Stew Every so often you'd catch one with a bag of M&M's in them...
  2. I'm at Pitt alum, and I couldn't watch the game without getting nausea. To be honest I really thought Wannstedt could bring credibility to our football program. He was outcoached from kickoff to the final whistle. I am thoroughly pissed. Your home opener, and you stink up the joint like that, in a game where home field advantage is by far the most advantageous of all the other sports... I miss Walt Harris.
  3. Why on earth would we be looking at a kicker?? Ours is probably one of the best in the nfl...
  4. I live right in downtown Pittsburgh. I wanted to be as close to work as possible. I am able to walk to work in the mornings, but because I live towards the top of a friggin hill, I catch the shuttle back in the evenings. I plan on watching all or most of the games this year at Damon's. I hear there's a Bills Backers group that watches all Bills games at the Damon's on McKnight Road...I may give it a shot..
  5. Okay guys, this is my first official "real" post, so I hope its worthy.. In regard to Mike Mularkey's decision to play the starters longer than most teams do, especially in the last preseason game...I just don't agree with it. I know he's saying he wants the offense to get into a rhythm, and wants JP and the starters to gel just a bit more, but I think it's a foolish decision. I really don't think that another half of play is enough to convince everyone that all of a sudden the offense has gelled, and that all is well. The bottom line is that with a "rookie" QB, we are going to have some bumps and bruises along the way, and that the timing thing will only come in, well, time. I think Mularkey should do like the great majority of the other coaches, and play the starters a series, maybe two, and sit them down. I'm a glass half-full person, an eternal optimist if you will, but I just am scared to death of us sustaining an injury to a key player the week before the opener. And do you realize how the media will absolutely tear Mularkey down if something like that happens? Go Bills
  6. I've got to go with LaNova's guys. They are absolutely tremendous.... My mom is a huge fan of Anchor Bar...but growing up that was all they really had...i would have to say hands down LaNovas are just about as close to perfect a wing as there is. You can actually order them online and have them fed-exed to you overnight. I would not recommend doing that though, because they are not the same as when you get them at the restaurant. I was thoroughly disappointed when I got them. They don't look OR taste remotely close... Go LaNovas!!!
  7. Absolutely we'll be praying for you guys out there as well. Might not be such a bad idea to visit some relatives in Shreveport or Arkansas, lol...
  8. I would guess something like that. Maybe northern Louisiana or something. I think it would be a reach to assume the NFL would make the Saints play every game as an away game, would you agree?
  9. I actually worked in New Orleans for 10 months on a project, so my heart definitely goes out to them. I pray the city isn't hit as hard as experts are predicting. They say downtown could sit underneath 15 feet of water... If what everyone is saying is true, and the city was flooded, would the Saints really be made to play every game on the road this year?
  10. I'd love to be at RWS, but most likely I'll be at Damon's Bar and Grill in Homestead, PA....
  11. I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict the Oakland Raiders in a week one upset... so... Buffalo 1-0 NY 0-1 Miami 0-1 NE 0-1 Alone atop the AFC E to start things off.... Go Bills!
  12. Geir Gudmunsen... Oh wait, they already waived him....
  13. I think our D will wreak havoc on Mike Vick and the daunted west coast offense, lol. I'd be surprised to see the Falcons score 14 points in that game.
  14. Tom Brady and bad@ss.....seems like an oxymoron, lol..
  15. LOL....I've been a Bills fan since I was 6....i just live in Pittsburgh... But thanks for the welcome!
  16. Let me just say how extremely impressed I am at this Bills message board! I have only been on here for a few weeks, but boy have I not only been entertained by some of the funniest commentary in ages, but it's also obvious that my fellow bills fans are very knowledgeable and well-informed! I just finished reading that retatta thread, and nearly p-issed my pants laughing so hard, and then when i saw Thailog80's avatar, i think i ruptured a kidney! I haven't laughed that hard in forever! I am proud to be a Bills fan and hope to contribute to this board with some insightful and funny commentary as well. GO BILLS!!!
  17. Hey leave little Stevie alone! After all he did for us, he deserves to be able to stink it up a little in the broadcast booth....
  18. There are also several decent tickets available for both the Houston and Atlanta games on Ebay. I got two to the home opener for 50 bucks, lower level. I also got two to the preseason game saturday vs. green bay for 12 bucks!
  19. 9. Don't stand next to your date, look at the other girl, and say, "DAMN, NOW THAT'S ASS!!! What the hell happened to yours?"
  20. Dude you just sent chills down my spine and brought a tear to my eye all at the same time....dammit man....
  21. SHOW HIM THE MONEY!!!!! YEAAHHH BABY YEAH!! I'm probably one of the few who thinks the Eagles should renegotiate his contract. Performance speaks... who cares if he's eccentric, borderline skitzo....the man can flat out play and he's one of the best...
