  1. This has had me cracking up...I hate every single one of those commercials.
  2. My bottom line thought on Maybin is this... It is not like he is playing every single snap for the Jets. He is a situational pass rusher, coming in for a max of what, 10-15 plays per game? For 525k, he is doing a great job for them...even at a raise, and for a little bit higher money, he would be doing a great job in his role. For the 20 million we were paying him, it wasn't worth it. We needed a STARTING LB, and he wasn't it. Aaron Maybin is what he is. A high motor, undersized, situational pass rusher with one move. Nothing more, nothing less. He is able to acheive this to it's full potential because the Jets have a much better front 7, and defensive scheme than we do.
  3. Heading over to my Dad's with the wife and son for some chicken wings, pulled pork BBQ, and all sorts of chips, dips, and beer. Favorite day of the year. Go Bills.
  4. Yep, WGR just announced that McKelvin and Spiller are swapping jersey numbers.
  5. The "invitation" in the email appears to be a shot of the helmet stripe. Red with the dual royal blue stripes, and a small navy outline, which is pretty much what has been rumored for a long time...
  6. Yep, not a bad drive. I live in Mechanicsburg...I know Ye Olde Ale House is also a Browns Backers bar as well, and I have watched a bunch of games there over the last couple years.
  7. For some reason I have it in my head that because there is no CBA, players can't be traded during this draft...Is this incorrect? Not sure where I heard this from...
  8. Yeah, it really was a bad call...kind of like the calls in the OSU-Michigan game this year with using their hands to make a block O. No guarantee they would have made the two pointer anyway, but it certainly killed them. It really was great to watch the Orange win that game though, It's been a long time of watching crap football. I feel really good for Delone Carter though, capped off a great career at Cuse with 200 yards and a couple of TDs.
  9. This might seem like sort of a cop-out, but our complete inability to put together any sort of pass rush affects the play of the rest of the defense. I think Byrd and Whitner are getting out of position, covering up for the underneath coverage not being able to hold a man in coverage for 5-6 seconds on every single play. That isn't to say that they aren't playing bad, because they are. But the lack of a pass rush is not helping the safeties and corners at all.
  10. Yep, it was quite easy to make, too. Got a T-shirt made up with the Bills font, correctly sized - in correct colors - that said "LOVIN", cost about 10 bucks. Cut it out of the shirt, and had my wife sew it over "GAHEE." Then she went over each letter with the sewing machine to make it look stitched. The picture darkens it a bit, and really doesn't do it justice. It really looks perfect. I have gotten some funny comments at the Ralph about it, most people like it a lot.
  11. Looking forward to this, Rich. The wife and I will be down for this, without question.
  12. My aunt took him as her first round pick. I wonder what it is like to know you will be in last place all year long.
  13. Ohio State's story will be the same this year, as it has in the past 2 years. Their defense will keep them in games long enough to make it interesting, and they will win most of them. But, unless Pryor has done some serious growing up in the last year, he will do something to cost them a game or two.
  14. Good to hear she is okay. Was thinking about you today.
  15. Born in Buffalo in '82 Lived in West Seneca, then Lakeview. Job forced parents to move when I was 9, moved to Central PA. Grad HS in 2000, left to live in High Point, NC in 2002, moved back to PA in 2003. Been here ever since. This is a pathetic sports area.
  16. Nah, wasn't me. We live on Simpson St. though, and my wife's car has a Bills License plate frame, so I am sure if you are around enough, you will see it passing through!
  17. I happened to be at the mall in Harrisburg, PA today, which is near where we live, because Buzz and Woody from Toy Story were there taking pictures...So, after I got some pictures of my son with them, we were on the way out of the mall, and there is a little memorabilia store there called "Linebacker U", pretty much entirely a Penn State Store... Well, it just so happened that today Daryll Clark and Shane Conlan were signing autographs! I hopped in, got a signed picture for my Dad, and talked a little Bills and Sabres with him for a few minutes. Was pretty neat, especially since I didn't know he was going to be there. He seemed like a very nice guy. Here is the link to the picture that I got of my son and I with him. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1366...mp;id=617370163
  18. It's hard to win over fans on ABC.
  19. That.was.unbelievable. I couldn't have asked for a better ending to a phenomenal series.
  20. What if the MIB is the island protector, and Jacob was just made to believe that he was by the fake mother? It would stand to reason that the only way to destroy the village and kill all of those people, as well as fill in the well had to be done by the smoke monster. Perhaps the fake Mom was the smoke monster all along, and it was all a set up to make sure that the MIB was the true protector of the island, and not Jacob?
