best option for #2 wide reciever?

Funny, I do not see MBD recommending Martin Nance for the job... -
Titans only have Lendale White if Henry signs with Denver.
LaDairis replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Indeed, Kelly, the fact that the Titans were not willing to pay a mere $8mil in today's market for Henry after last year's performance says what about what they think of LenDale. The Titans also have tons of Cap Space. They easily could have afforded the Henry bonus and then some. The simple fact is that Henry is not a good receiver or blocker, which is why he came out for LenDale on passing downs for all of the second half of last year. LenDale was going to replace Henry this year whether he stayed or not. Interesting that you mention Simpson, because LenDale broke several Simpson records at USC, including touchdowns, in three years, while OJ played for four. OJ also did not split time with Reggie Bush. Statistically, LenDale was USC's greatest offensive player ever. However, what was really impressive about him was that most of his yards came between the tackles, breaking tackles and leaning for the extra two yards when finally tackled. As for Geisinger, the Titans seem to like him too, releasing Pillar and re-upping Justin. So, yeah, the thought of LenDale behind an OL with Justin at OG seems to be just fine with Fisher. LaDairis will give you a fresh set of quotes: 1. Justin Geisinger is a better OT and OG than Langston Walker 2. LenDale, if he stays healthy, will prove to be everything LaDairis said about him last year when he was recovering from a torn hamstring 3. Eric King, if he stays healthy, will win the Titan nickel back position, and be a better nickel than the Bills' nickel So save the post and hold it. LaDairis will be back again, just as last year The Stadium Wall quaked as LaDairis said on Draft Day that Kyle Williams was as good or better than McCargo, and all the parrots BAWKED "FO/coach knows best." And to think you could have had LenDale with the second rounder traded up for McCargo.... LMAO!!! Ah, the fun of the historical truth and the parrots who simply refuse to learn from it... -
Just a little tidbit on Langston walker
LaDairis replied to ostlc77's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"Langston Walker is a useless sack of schit because you say so?" No, because he has proven just that every time he has taken the field the past 4 years, whether that be at OG or ORT. However, in order to determine that, one has to understand the football one watches... -

Your own takes are not accepted by certain posters here. Such posters are best known as "parrots" because they "bawk" "coach knows best" or "FO knows best" every time something is done. I appreciate your observations, but you will get flack, feathers, and droppings from the parrots because they do not understand football and resent anyone here who does. -
Certainly not on offense. Several defensive players are popular.
-
There really should be a separate Parrot Board for folks like you. That way, every time the FO or the coach does something, you can bawk "coach knows best" or "FO knows best" and be spared the analysis of those of us who actually understand the game we watch.

"As a Bills fan, you knew Mike Williams sucked, and would suck in Jacksonville, even though they thought he might be good. Why is this any different? Are Raider fans dumber than Bills fans? " Jax just compounded their complete and total status of INVALID on the subject of the OL by paying up for Tony Pashos, a stiff fat tub of goo who got royally abused in the playoffs by the Jags chief divisional rival, the Colts. Ah, yes, the Ravens "only" allowed 2 sacks that game. Great. Did Steve McNair have all sorts of time in the pocket, or was he constantly forced to step up because Pashos could not handle Mathis off the edge? It is nice to know that even in NFL FO's, the same idiocy that reigns supreme here exists: BIG=GOOD pass protection skills = parroting the sacks allowed stat, and hence by that measure Pashos is better than Jon Ogden. Gee, I wonder which one, Ogden or Pashos, got more help from TEs and FBs.... -

"he is a much better run blocker then you give him credit for....infact in 2005 he played inside he did an excellent job in the run game before getting hurt........" Ah, the eternal equation of size = great run blocking. In fact, one of the quotes I posted above more accurately describes Walker's play at OG - DTs got under him and badly overpowered him. That is why he was moved back to OT. He first royally sukked at ORT. Then he got benched and was tried at OG, where he also royally sukked. Last year, Gallery was moved back to OLT and Walker was moved to ORT. The result was the worst pass protection in the NFL, the coach got fired etc. etc. OK, Bills fans, you want to believe, then believe. Your dream that Walker really isn't someone who "should retire in shame" will be outed in August... -

Actual quotes from Raiders fans from ScoutsInc board... http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=66#S=66&...86&T=183758 "Actually this should provide for some great entertainment for the Bills fans as well. They will get to see a 345lb man get lifted of his feet while trying to block a DT. Bring the popcorn fans, it's fun to watch !!!" "They better have a large supply of QB's" " Free Agent move guaranteed to shorten Losman's career" "25 million over five years...did the Bills watch any tape of Raider games last season?" "wow,he was actually considered to play in the nfl, after last year's debacle...he should just retire in shame." "Thank god - he sucked for us other then a blocked kick here or there - when he was healthy he was below average, throw in being hurt as much as he was, and goodbye Langston you slow fat peice of crap." "but he has played well every year excert this past one" LMAO!!! "Playing well" to you must mean the following: 1. getting regularly burned in pass protection 2. getting stood up and overpowered on running plays 3. getting called for holding a lot 4. getting the Raider fan base to absolutely HATE your guts "excert" is a word that perhaps needs translation here... -

Easy. Gallery is about the worst all time ever read by "draft gurus." Gallery is just a flat out disaster and deserves to be cut. He has proven he sukks at both ORT and OLT. Grove is "tough mean dirty etc" but is not a great athlete. Grove is decent but nothing special. "a 6'8" tackle" tells you what? It tells you his friggin height. Wayne Gandy was a good OLT at 6'3". Height does not equal quality OT. In Walker's case, it suggests an inverse relationship to talent. The Raider OL has gone from one of the NFL's best to one of the worst in just a few short years. It is all about the players. The Raider OL players just are terrible. Unfortunately, we just paid up for their worst one... -

Um, factual falsehood posted. Gamebook here... http://www.superbowl.com/gamecenter/gamebo...20030126_OAK@TB Middleton and Collins started. Walker was safely on the bench. It was when Walker played, t or g, that the Raider OL started to sukk. -

Travis Henry to be released tomorrow
LaDairis replied to bills44's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
... and to think LenDale White had all those "character" problems before the Draft... All LenDale did was spit in practice. For the Titans, that puts LenDale in the "high character" class even without a toke from the stash the cops found in Pac's car. Henry is a good player. Chris Brown was an upright runner with no power and fumblitis. LenDale is now THE GUY in Tennessee. Time for some actual football observations, and, then after that, some stats will be "observed" by those who don't understand the football they watch... -

The one thing about parrots is that every parrot is absolutely sure their "coach knows best" parroting and stat parroting is correct. Actual observations of talent are not tolerated unless they are from a "certified" guru. Didn't someone here last Draft weekend have the gall to claim Kyle Williams was better than McCargo? Man, the coaches and FO clearly "knew best" when they traded up for McCargo because Williams was there in Round 5... -
Yeah, that trade up for McCargo was just brilliant. Taking a safety in the top 10, absolutely Einsteinian. Brad Butler was like Boselli. Kyle Williams was better than McCargo. Someone here actually said that on Draft weekend. Anyone remember who that was?

This is known as the "coach knows best" philosophy, usually reserved for those who do not understand the football they watch. I personally think the new regime has a "size bias" best exemplified by the ridiculous wastes of money today. When King was on the field as our nickel, he did a great job. Players cut at the end of preseason who are then claimed are "behind" the other players as far as learning the scheme etc. Let's see if Fifth Rounder King gets more time this year. PacMan is doing everything possible to get tossed in the can. Reynaldo Hill is a disaster and will be replaced, just not by Clements. The nickel, a rookie 7th, Finnegan, is a very good player, but like other Titan DBs, just got busted for something. King does well on the field. Parrots and "coach knows best" invalids tend not to notice anything that is not published, talked about by the announcers, or in the stats column... -

Sorry, I tend to watch the SEC and the major conferences, not Hofstra... -
The Raiders tried Walker at OG after he first failed at ORT. After he failed at OG, Shell moved him back to ORT and Gallery to OLT. That got Shell fired.

... and to pay big bucks for a vet who has had every chance in the world to show something and still sukks sukks sukks is, well...

That's a tad different from switching to OG and C from four years at OLT. Colston of the Saints seemed to be able to handle going from college WR to pro WR last year. -

Translation: While King played for us, I was completely unable to assess him, because I do not understand coverage, much less football. I only understand depth charts and stat parroting. King did not make a lot of stats for us. Hence, he isn't good. Neon Deion had marginal stats for a corner too, but that couldn't be because the other team never threw at him because his WR was covered. Neon Deion and King both sukked because their stats "proved" it. Only stats and "coach knows best" parroting count. Actual watching when Tom Brady looks at King and then decides to throw it elsewhere does not count because the stats don't cover that. -

King was an excellent nickel for us. Dumping him was a mistake. Justin clearly has not made the transition inside smoothly. However, the Titans just re-signed him, so he might get another chance. Justin was a heck of a good player for Vandy, as King was for Wake. -

Ah, good ol MBD. Is Martin Nance in the Pro Bowl yet? Baskett? LOL!!! Baskett had like two games, and dropped a quarter of his catchable balls. Even on his one long TD catch he "baskett" caught it and bobbled it.
