  1. "I have never seen Nance play at all but if everyone I ever come across(including experts)(or you) tell me he is crap then I will form a 'qualified' opinion that he is crap. " Ah - the Goebbels' standard - if your BIRDBRAIN hears the same thing over and over, you become more "sure" that it should be "your" "opinion"... You must really be sure of Global Warming... "Why do you bother telling us your views?" Well, at least I have views that are mine...
  2. "Frankly, if you have first-hand observations or access to other data about Nance" That was precisely what started it. I came in with first hand observations of Nance, and the Disease insisted that no "non-guru" can have an "opinion" that conflicts with the PARROTING inside his BEAKED BIRDBRAIN.
  3. "I haven't seen Nancy play, but have heard wildly differing opinions of various players at times. I personally appreciate learning the stats and hearing observations/opinions as data points on which to build my opinions." Then you are claiming that YOU have an "opinion" of a player that you have NEVER SEEN based solely on... that's right, PARROTING. That makes you a PARROT. Stats are facts. Without watching, stats can be very misleading, as I discussed earlier about Leftwich leading the Jags in rushing against the Pats. Write-ups are the opinions of others, not you. Once you read someone else's opinion, you either attribute that opinion to the author, or your BEAKED BIRDBRAIN appropriates that opinion as "your" "opinion." "I'd love to have a tall receiver with reliable hands for short-to-mid yardage pass plays" Like NFL Drop leader Ernest Wilford, who never got open against the Pats in the playoff game? Or, like Martin Nance, who had 81 catches last year which "proved" to yet another PARROTING MORON here that Nance never dropped anything despite the fact that such PARROTING MORON, like you, never watched Nance play... TALL=GOOD = Martin Nance and Hank Baskett, two of the three TALLEST WRs at the Senior Bowl, going UNDRAFTED BIG=GOOD = Mike Williams and Bennie Anderson PARROT = Reading someone else's opinion about a player you've never seen play a down and appropriating that as "your" "opinion"
  4. LMAO!!! Yeah, in the MAC they tend to throw a lot... and the level of competition can be best summed up by how many MAC defenders got Drafted... not many...
  5. "Obviously we should consider a certified "gurus" opinion above those of non certified "gurus". " And THAT is the "greater guru" theory of PARROTING to the letter... Essentially, it means this: I am a complete and total football invalid incapable of assessing the football I watch. Hence, to get "my" "opinion" I need a "guru" to parrot, and I choose the "greater guru" for my PARROTING based, not on what the team of such "guru" did on Draft Weekend, but rather what my BEAKED BIRDBRAIN wants to believe...
  6. "What that quote means is that Disease(if pressed) will take Big Bens opinion over your opinion." There is no question that all of Disease's "opinions" about football stem from the "greater guru" parroting theory, which is that Disease's "take" is the parroting of the "greatest guru" Disease can parrot. "Are you saying that Big Ben did not have an "actual observation of Nance playing at Miami."" LMAO!!! The clear and obvious truth is that when Big Ben's opinion of Nance mattered on Draft Weekend, the Steelers passed on Nance with pick 240 and then failed to sign him as an undrafted. Nance and Ben were teammates. Ben is not going to trash his former teammate publicly after clearly doing so to the Steeler FO on Draft Weekend. My goodness, you IDIOTS think EVERYONE MUST be a PARROT. How about this: LaDairis developed an opinion of Nance by watching Nance play, not by PARROTING some guru... Blasphemy!!! Only certified "gurus" are allowed to make football opinions, and then PARROTS like you and Disease get "your" "opinions" from PARROTING...
  7. "I've just re-read this thread & at no stage does Disease tip his hand over his thoughts on Nance" LOL!!! Reading comprehension is not your strong suit... "Sorry but Ben Roethlisberger trumps YOU" is Disease's quote at 3:24pm today. What that quote means is that PARROTING Big Ben "trumps" my actual observations of Nance playing at Miami OH in the BIRDBRAIN that is the Disease. PARROTS never accept anyone's actual observations. There are "gurus" who are to be PARROTED and there are PARROTS who PARROT gurus. There is no right of any "non-guru" to have a take, especially one that conflicts with guru parroting...
  8. "Does the fact that I am 'parroting' this quote mean I fully believe in what it is being said or perhaps it is an attempt at an addition to the conversation" Depends on whether or not you presented it as a quote of someone else and nothing more, or you appropriated it as "your" 100% pure PARROTED "opinion" as the Disease did...
  9. Admitting that you are a PARROT is the first step towards a complete recovery...
  10. "Sorry but Ben Roethlisberger trumps YOU" LMFAO!!! Translation: my BEAKED BIRDBRAIN is so obsessed with the PARROTING=PROOF standard that a quote from Ben at a charity golf outing about a former teammate who the Steelers passed on at pick 240 of round 7 gets me all excited. I am sure that the Steeler FO ignored Ben's pleas all Draft Weekend to spend a pick on Nance. Why would the Steeler FO pay any attention to their starting QB for the next decade? PARROTING=PROOF and now that I have my PARROTING I am gonna BAWK BAWK BAWK that because PARROTING of Big Ben trumps the reality of Big Ben's team passing on Nance in Round 7 and not making a serious effort to sign Nance as an undrafted. Indeed, Nance himself must have chosen Buffalo over Pitt, because that is what my BIRDBRAIN wants to believe, and why in the world would Nance want to go to a team that has the QB responsible for Nance's best years at Miami OH?? PS - Reid is much more of a KR than a WR...
  11. What Big Ben and the Steelers actually did on Draft Day was to pass on Nance, even in Rounds 6 and 7... picks 201 and 240... but for BEAKED BIRDBRAINS who want to PARROT that which suits their view, some quote from Big Ben at a golf event is PROOF that Nance will be a star in 5 years, because Big Ben must have REALLY, REALLY LOBBIED hard for the Steelers to Draft this "star"... and Ernest Wilford is just great because he had 40 catches and 7 TDs against zone, but was erased as a starter in the playoff loss to Buffalo archrival NE and led the NFL by a TALL=GOOD birdbrained margin in DROP PERCENTAGE... Now, PARROT ON, MORONS...
  12. Translation: I am totally clueless about all of this, but I have faith that the "FO knows best" so that is what I just posted... Let the season begin so that light can be shed... not that reality will ever change the "opinions" of those who are "sure" the "FO knows best" ... just like with Big Mike...
  13. The problem of the Draft was that Whitner, while a very good player, was taken way too high, causing the Bills to "trade up" for McCargo, who is vastly inferior to Bunkley. The reach for Whitner and the "trade up" for McCargo looks like the second mistake was to cover for the first. Rebuilding teams should tend to trade down, not trade up for a Third Round caliber (at best) player in Round 1...
  14. LOL!!! Catching a "deflected" ball just makes you sing, huh... Whether or not Wilford gained any separation that play - woosh = moron observing, no ability to assess anything but the stat sheet while watching... Can Wilford separate from man coverage? If the answer against the Pats is a complete NO, what worth does he have to the Bills?? Um, uh, DUHHHHH.... BAWK BAWK BAWK - someone say something I can parrot... The truth about Wilford is that he has no wheels and cannot separate unless he is being zoned. Catching a "deflection" does not change that, even if you get all excited by a football play that is not impressive at all. Tim Euhus was developing quite well before he hurt his knee. Clearly, he was not as good last year after the knee and the pec. Eric King did just fine as a Fifth Rounder. Duke might have a future yet. There is no question the Bills Draft record in recent years is something other than stellar... You, of course, must "know" that Geisinger is a total bust because your beaked birdbrain never saw him play last year, and not playing = bust, as it did for Keith Bulluck's first two years in Tennessee... May you find many crackers this weekend...
  15. It is that being "sure" that your STAT PARROTING is giving you the whole picture that makes you a MORON. You are "sure" of PARROTING about that which you did not see. The Jags have that TALL=GOOD WR 'tude, and it has wasted an unreal amount of "value" in a futile attempt to get anywhere. Wilford became the "starter" because Reggie Williams, the 04 #9 overall pick, is yet another TALL=GOOD bust.
  16. Yes, all you need to know about Wilford is how to PARROT his stats. Now, about those TDs. You make it sound like the guy was inactive for half the season, and then started and flourished. The exact opposite is true. Wilford was more productive when he did not start, and "finished" the season as a starter with 4 of his final five starts being thoroughly unproductive, including getting BLANKED in his final. Yea, we know, you can parrot, so that is all that is needed to "prove" your point... As for Wilford LOSING the game against the Rams by bobbling an easy catch that ended up picked and returned for a TD, well, the STATS only say "intended" for Wilford, so BAWK ON, MORON...
  17. This is just fantastic logic. If a guy catches 51 balls in a college season, that "suggests" he "DID" (all caps on that one) drop some, while if someone makes 80 catches, that means he never had a drop. LOL!!! What type of offense was he in? How many throws came his way? Does he adjust to the ball or does he need a throw right to him to have a chance of catching it? Does he catch with his hands or his basket? Woosh - straight over the feathered head of the PARROTING MORON...
  18. Come one, come ALL PARROTING MORONS... Most of Wilford's "production" came as the #3 and #4 WR. When he "started" late last year, his production went DOWN, because Wilford is super slow and can only get open against ZONE, not man. Indeed, ESPN is now documenting that Ernest Wilford led the NFL in DROP PERCENTAGE... http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/insider/col...r_kc&id=2466157 1. Wilford 19.6% 2. McCareins 16.7% by a WIDE MARGIN... To top it off, "starter" Wilford, in the Jags' most important game last year, got BLANKED in NE during a 28-3 whippin when the Jags surely were never trying to throw because there is no need to throw being down so far - right... Now, go have another cracker and report back when you finish it...
  19. LMAO!!! Indeed, the "condescending tone" is appropriate for stat parroting football invalids like you. I made a take and you started the insults by asking for "stat parroting" to "prove" it to your birdbrain. Indeed, MORON, while the "stats" are not exactly bursting out all over the net, let's try some different PARROT LOGIC for your beaked insignificance... 1. Nance was at the Senior Bowl all week, so the argument that the "scouts" did not see him is absolute hogwash. The NFL scouts knew ALL ABOUT this kid, and the result of that was that he went UNDRAFTED. DUH.... 2. Nance has exactly the height+weight+bench+40 time that impresses PARROTING MORONS who know NOTHING about football like you. Needless to say, the fact that such a h+w+b+40 prospect went undrafted meant what? LOL... Yeah, like something is terribly, terribly WRONG... HHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMM............... An actual observer of Miami OH football tells you that Nance has terrible hands and ball skills. Like a double yellow head wanting another cracker, you ask for PARROTING you know doesn't exist... There are those with a clue who watch and understand, and then there are those who PARROT and think that because they PARROT they actually know something, like a PARROT who says "hello" actually understands the greeting...
  20. I have no idea where to find "official drop stats" but I do sincerely realize that many football invalids are incapable of accepting the answer that "I watched this guy" and hence require "stats" to "prove" something. "Stats" show Byron Leftwich was Jax' leading rusher against the Pats. Did that "prove" that Leftwich is the "best" "runner" on the Jags? Indeed, did it "prove" that Leftwich was not limping that game? Funny, I watched that game, and Leftwich was limping, but I cannot find a "stat" to "prove" that...
  21. Nance went undrafted because he does not have good ball skills at all. The guy has bricks for hands (and so does the Jags leading dropper last year, Wilford). Nance does not adjust well to the ball. He does well if the ball is right to him (like it was when Big Ben was his QB). h+w+b+40 does not necessarily equal Randy Moss. Sometimes it equals Reggie Williams and Tyrone Calico... It is just unreal that anyone here thinks Wilford is good. Wilford makes one grab against us and he is just awesome... Against the Pats in the playoffs starting and playing the whole game, Wilford gets BLANKED...
  22. Good point. We already have one highly overrated guru favorite h+w+40 who got looked at by every team and went undrafted because he is a body-catcher who doesn't adjust to the ball. Why do we need two of them?? I'd rather stick with George Wilson.
  23. Did (S-lol!!) Jason Allen go in round 3??? LOL!!! Baskett is a classic example of what impresses PARROTS. Baskett is big, tall, and fast in a straight line. Can he adjust to the ball? NO. Does he catch with his hands, or does he use his BASKETT? LOL!!! Maybe, just maybe, just PARROTING the online sites about players you have NEVER SEEN PLAY A DOWN OF FOOTBALL is not exactly a great way to obtain "your" 100% PARROTED "opinion"...
  24. "If this is your way of trying to get someone to send you a Florida State game jersey, I think you may want to try a different tact... only a suggestion ! " LOL!!! I used to work as a volunteer to help inmates develop skills in prison so that they could be productive, honest citizens when they got out. Let me tell you, there is no better way of scoring FSU jerseys than that...
  25. And now, the Valedictorian of this year's CrimiNolean "graduating" class will present his senior thesis: "Go Noles!!" Grade: A+
