  1. There ya go, STL Bills, Allen at #22 - 3rd round my choad...
  2. "safety" Jason Allen? LMFAO!!! You obviously do not know the first thing about Jason Allen. I'll clue you in a bit. Jason Allen was switched to safety his junior year because the Vols lacked safeties and had two other ALL SEC corners. The 2005 Draft comes around, and Allen declares. He then tells Fulmer he will return ONLY IF the Vols play him at corner, because he is a much better corner than he is a safety, and he wants to play corner, not safety. "Your" "opinion" that Allen is a 3rd round safety prospect is simply proof you have no clue what you are talking about. Allen is a corner, and he will be a royal PITA if a team tries to force him to play S.
  3. "Your" "opinion" was copied off a Google link... Ngata is strictly a two gap or a 3-4 NT.
  4. I'm a "choad" for outing you as having no clue what a one-gap scheme is... Great... As for Allen, fantasize all you want, the kid is not getting anywhere near round 3 unless he gets arrested for sleeping with his grandfather. Indeed, with all of your make believe trades, it isn't hard to figure out what you are...
  5. Do you even understand the scheme? Jason Allen in Round 3?? Yeah, and Matt Leinart is my pick in round 6....
  6. What about the kid Preston?? Why do we need a cashed, overpaid vet when we have Preston?
  7. The scheme will be one gap, so Ngata is almost surely OFF the Bills board. Bunkley would fit, but the Bills could likely trade down to get him.
  8. What are you guys smoking? Mike Pearson - was a disaster before he got hurt. Never was anything more than a turnstile, and was highly overrated and often abused as a Gator. The ONLY reason anyone thought that guy was any good was his Freshman nickname which he did NOT deserve - Baby Boselli... Jax "set" at OG? LOL!!! Vince Manuwai made Bennie look like an All Pro. That's the guy the Jags want to replace. Yeah, you did read Prisco say he was an All Pro in the making. THAT is something you ought to think about the next time you read Prisco. Prisco would not understand OL play with John Hannah and Tony Boselli sitting next to him explaining it play by play. Jax has a lot of talent, but none of it is on the OL, which is why the Pats sacked Leftwich about 50 times in the 28-3 destruction in the Wild Card. However, Jax does seem to have the same genius philosophy on OLs as the Bills - BIG = good, and if BIG sukks year after year, just ignore that and assume BIG = good. Indeed, with MEATHEAD Tice joining Jack DUH Rio, the Jags probably have THE DUMBEST coaching staff in the NFL... and they REALLY like 'em BIG...
  9. Oh, yes he does - he tore one completely two years ago. He also had trouble with his ankle last season. He limped off a couple of times against Wash St. Some "giants" really do have trouble staying healthy. Ngata is a player, and I would not be unhappy with him. I'm just not crazy about him. I'd rather spend a later pick on Anthony Montgomery of Minnesota.
  10. Ngata sprained his knee that game and missed the second half. It is difficult to make plays when one is sitting on the bench with the knee packed in ice. Ngata is what he is - he is not a great pass rusher and will not chase RBs down from behind. He is, however, more than capable of stuffing NFL double teams. If the objective is for that defense, a Siragusa/Adams type of Ravens D, then he fits well.
  11. All one needs to know about that scouting service is that it gives a high grade to THE WORST starting OG in the NFL - Jacksonville's Vince Manuwai. If you don't believe me, go to the Jags.com board and ask them. Vince Manuwai is a human turnstile, abused on both running and passing plays. Yes, I know, they are the "experts" and "my" "opinion" that was "appropriated" from those "experts" cannot possibly be wrong... or something like that. I read that and it became "my" "opinion." The "Big = Good" obsession infects many. Bennie is good because when I see him on the TV, he looks BIG!!! When Bennie whiffs in pass protection, he still looks BIG!!! When Bennie false starts, man, he STILL looks BIG!!! I'm convinced - Bennie is, in fact, BIG... REALLY BIG!!!!
  12. Bennie is a certified disaster. He was a disaster with the Ravens, which is why they let him go. Only the Bills were dumb enough to pay up for him. "Big = good" got us Big Mike and Bennie. Nice theory... Either pick up a FA, draft a new OG, or give Geisinger a chance. The difference between Geisinger and Bennie is that Bennie has proven that he sukks, while we aren't sure of that about Geisinger until he gets a chance to prove it...
  13. The link cites the Ohio State game, and the gurus seem to be pretty much settled that Mangold and Sims are quality players. I'd like to hear what you think of that game. According to that link and the lists I've seen, Anthony is NOT invited to the combine, and that is part of the point. The NFL seems to rate Anthony close to undrafted right now. That just blows my mind having seen him. He really ripped up Bama 13 months ago, and some of those Bama OLs either got drafted or will...
  14. Maroney will be a very good back if he stays healthy, which he did not last year. In fact, it became quite clear that it really did not matter which Gopher back was in there, as three different backs got 100 yard games. The Minnesota OL, especially the OLG and C, was tops. Good players can be hidden on bad defenses, especially if the other team can just double team that player the entire game.
  15. Both. Anthony got double teamed most of every game last year, in part because he was the only serious DL on Minn. I first noticed him tearing apart the interior Bama OL in a 2004 bowl game. Double teams do not move him. Single team him and he will penetrate or collapse the pocket.
  16. I must say I really cannot believe the guru rankings on this kid. Granted, Minnesota did not have a great defense, but really, Anthony Montgomery is definitely someone who can come in and start right away and hold up to double teams and disrupt. http://www.thefootballgenius.com/draft/tfg...Montgomery.html While Ngata is one of the options at the top, if this Draft is going to let Anthony Montgomery fall to the second day, then perhaps the Bills ought to skip Ngata and grab Montgomery later. Ngata has a surgery on his resume. If D'Brick is gone, trade down...
  17. I agree. No, his play last year is not worth that money, but for a year, a year when the Bills might be able to trade him, put the tag on him. He should fetch at least a Second Round pick from whoever is willing to pay him what he wants.
  18. What the political left is attempting to use is the "Sliding Quota" standard, arguing that since almost 90% of NFL players are black, then 90% of all coaches, owners, and ball boys must be black or it is racism. That Sliding Quota standard is, by itself, viciously racist to the core. The "problem" area, if you can call it that, is the NCAA, where black Div 1a coaches are way underrepresented. That's the "farm team" for being an NFL head coach. Ironically enough, a lot of the noise about racism comes from precisely that source, the NCAA, home of leftist through Stalinst brands of ideology. One mentions the idea that this type of whining helps to "keep racism alive." That is exactly what the desired outcome is. If racism is not "kept alive," then tens of thousands of professional race baiters would lose their "jobs"... and hence the NCAA remains totally left wing, absolutely hypocritical to the core on the issue of black head coaches, and the professional race baiters, on cue, blame the "rich white" NFL owners... and thank their leftist pals in the NCAA for "keeping racism alive" and hence the honey keeps flowing...
  19. With the game on the line, Wayne tried Steeler rookie CB Bryant McFadden deep in the corner of the end zone. The throw was perfect, and McFadden knocked it away. A play later, Vandy missed, and the Colts went home bickering again... If Wayne is so good, then how good is Steeler nickel McFadden? Price is a great reminder that #2 WRs often have great stats... because they get single covered a lot...
  20. The only BS here is coming from the "Peters should be busted for Canton" crowd. The claim that the only time an OT is "beaten" is when his DE is credited with a sack is par for the course of the parroting moron like you. Peters has been regularly beaten. He was absolutely abused several weeks ago and this board was filled with bait that the Peters-for-Canton crowd refused to comment on. Then the media once again sang his praises. The Bills use the quick throw offense most of the time. Hence, even if the OL is beaten, the ball gets out of there and there is no sack. "Peters for Pro Bowl!" shout morons like you after every one of those, regardless of whether Peters' DE decks the QB right after the ball gets out. Hint - the reason the Bills use the quick throw is because they have no confidence in their pass protection, and it is not just Peters who justifies that... Peters has potential and has shown promise. The kid is young and still learning. That being said, some of the BS in the media and parroted here from the media about him is just off the scale ridiculous. The kid is far from a quality NFL ORT right now. Try something novel. Try to get "your" "opinion" of Peters by watching... Peters, instead of just parroting announcers and clueless reporters...
  21. "This kid has played incredible, and I too can think of only one time Peters was beat all year--Peppers" LMFAO!!! No, that was the only time the announcers told you Peters was beaten. Peters has been beaten quite often, but unless the announcers tell you that... "I really don't know myself, but the announcers sure do talk about Tyrone Calico a lot..."
  22. "Gandy is the Kelly Holcombe of Left Tackles imo" LOL!!!!
