Maybe we can get McDaniel to replace McDermott. Great offensive mind and we can get a new defensive scheme. All this culture stuff is overrated anyway. Imagine what he could do with Allen.

Jets offense is unbelievably pedestrian and bad.

He's not good. He is Tua with a great team around him.

What I want or you want is irrelevant. I don't think these guys are going anywhere in the near future and a vocal group of fans wanting them fired is not going to do anything. I could be wrong. But I doubt it. This front office and coaching staff are very very good by any objective viewpoint, particularly for a team that was in the wilderness for two decades.

That is all true. My point was that many thought Cowher would never win a SB. But his teams were always good and he finally broke through. Management gave him the time. The Bills will do the same with Beane and McDermott as long as the team keeps performing at a very high level. So, everyone can piss and moan all they want about firing people, but it ain't gonna happen anytime soon unless one of you buys the team from Mr. Pegula.

This thread is so repetitive and waste of time. Bill Cowher won his first and only SB after 10 seasons. With this front office and coach turning the franchise from a laughingstock to a consistent power and media darling, no one is going nowhere anytime soon. Give it a break.

I don't things have changed that much for the Bills and playoffs/seeding, it is just a different set of pursuers. Instead of the Chiefs Ravens and Chargers-- who seemed best poised to compete for the #1 seed-- it is the Colts Jags and Pats(given their schedule) right now. But the Bills were going to have to win around 13 games to get the #1 seed, and I don't think that has changed. I don't see any of the new three challengers winning 14 games, do you? Put differently, the Bills plainly control their own destiny. If they only win 10-12 games, the would not have been the #1 seed in any case. The only real change is that 10-11 might not win the division this year, as it may have until the Pats showed they might be decent.

Teams with -2 in turnover battle win 20% of time. Pretty simple why they lost.

I agree the defense has been Ok the last two weeks. Moreover, there is every reason to suspect--assuming no catastrophic injuries-- that the D will continue to improve. First, the young guys will get better with experience and experience in the system. Hecht and Ogunjobi will join after three more games. And then there is Hairston. Add all that together and by December the defense should be performing at a solid B+ level, which should be more than good enough to complement this offense. But until they do it, they have not done it, and fans with PTSD from this defense in the past will be on edge.

This whole thread is bad juju. Next loss might be a game if/when Allen gets injured. Do not anger the football gods.

It is early days. No one played much in pre-season. Lots of new young players. Significant injuries and suspensions. I suspect we will be seeing a much better defense as the year progresses. Fortunately, the schedule is fairly soft early. By November I think we will see a B+ defense. And that's more than enough for Allen and company.
