  1. ok that has nothing to do with this, mamula was not talked about all year because he wasnt a good football player. As soon as his numbers from teh combine came out he skyrocketed up the boards because coaches and gm's were curious as to what they could do with his talent. D'Brick has been touted for the last 2 and a half years as an outstanding tackle, and hasnt gone to the combine yet re-think?
  2. I cant say what D'Brick will do or play like in the pros, what i can do is tell you that you are completely wrong in your statement. He has a smaller frame but that enables him to be extremely quick against rush ends, and if you're wondering about the bull rush his arms nearly reach down to his knees which makes it almost impossible for a DE to get his hands on Brick. His run blocking is in question but its not that bad. I find it ironic that people complain about mike williams being too fat yet you say a 6'5'' 300 lb tackle is too small and dont want him. The fact that you say his technique is terrible shows that you havent watched many of his games, and if you have, it means you just dont know what technique means because this is one of the sole reasons he is rated the #1 tackle in this draft.
  3. yessssssss , first and foremost i'd like to thank God........ and so on
  4. hey look.... the guy i said the bills should draft and was a good player moved all the way up to the 1st round
  5. nobody except the jets is sold on mangini or knows how he will do, so there is no proof the jets will get better and be a great team just yet. The patriots are also losing players to free agency, injury, and most of all age while simultaneously losing coaches every year, so there is no proof they will remain consistant over the next few years. I love nick saban in miami but we all know they have screwy players. So i'm not panicing, there is still a draft and free agency, its real early.
  6. i really dont see san fran taking another LB, that is probably their best unit on defense, hence them trading jamie winborn
  7. yes... Winston, McNeil, Scott is injured
  8. Denver, i dont know how people can say the winner between the nfc game when the two best teams of late in teh afc were beat, doesnt that make one of them the frontrunner? i just think denver is playing great football as all the teams are but to take the patriots down the way they did is enough to convince me.
  9. What, you think New Orleans didnt draft defensive players? Well you wrong about that, since 2002 they've picked 16 defensive players in the draft out of a possible 29 picks, and they were high picks as well, heres the defensive players only from the first 3 rounds since they usually will make the most impact. 2005: - round 2, S Josh Bullocks - round 3, LB Alfred Fincher 2004: -round 1, DE Will Smith -round 3, LB Courtney Watson 2003: -round 1, DT Jonathan Sullivan -round 3, LB/DE Cie Grant 2002: - round 2, DE Charles Grant So they have actually spent more than half of their draft choices on defense, which suggests that only bad coaching is the result of their non-development. Not to mention, they went after S Darrin Smith in free agency and traded for CB Mike McKenzie.
  10. if you are able to read, which i know you can, you will see that my question was...... what did their offense do? not whatever you're talking about. And as far as Horn being the only person that has talent is the dumbest statement a person can make. If anything, horn has the least talent, he has great work ethic and actually has a good attitude and wants to work. Dante Stallworth has more talent than joe horn could dream of, but because they had a lousy coach in haslett, he never gained discipline or a work eithic, just like the rest of that offense. They have crappy players on defense but im talking about the offense, their not even scoring back and forth with teams and losing, i could understand your point then.
  11. QB - Aaron Brooks, if you think he's not talented your nuts RB - Deuce McAllister WR - Joe Horn WR - Dante Stallworth WR - Devery Henderson ......and what did their offense do?
  12. an offensive line coach has to know protections, meaning all plays in the playbook and for all scenarios.
  13. but gregg williams wasnt an experienced head coach...... and he actually failed, so how is MM a bigger mistake?
  14. if it is a good pick at the time then yes it does. the GM does not coach the team, it isnt his fault if the player has the tools to play, seems like he has a good head on his shoulders, but fails, i could see you making an argument it was greggs fault, but not TD's. There are picks that are bad at the time, such as taking an injured player, or someone that clearly has mental and off-field issues. Mike had nothing of the sort, thus it was a good pick. you cant say that a players performance decides whether or not it was a good pick, BECAUSE YOU DONT KNOW HOW HE IS GOING TO PERFORM, all you know is whats infront of you and you evaluate it, his size was good, feet were good (i remember him dancing on tv), his college career let us believe he was good, and attitude at the time looked good. Thus, it was a good pick. All you know are the facts, and nothing more. Like i said, its different if one or more of those scouting aspects dont line up, but they did. You dont know how he will perform thats why you project how you think he will perform, which is what everybody did, and why everybody thought he would be good.
  15. 1. look at the second years of Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, and Carson Palmer, so lets be optimistic 2. The Giants have had to re-make their offensive line every year, along with the patriots, and look at what tiki barber did this year, so lets be optimistic 3. the defense did take a step backwards, but we still have the core players that made it great in the first place, so lets be optimistic 4. Marv is unproven as a GM, but he is a great leader and motivator as well as the face of an organization, and.... could he really do that much worse than donahoe? so lets be optimistic
  16. he is a damn good player, i would love to have him, i just hate the texas program
