  1. Who the hell cares about real time? It is game clock time that matters. And scenario 1 burns off more.
  2. Why is your answer to my response always questioning how the person got there? Do you realize that's not the fuggin topic? People are there, no matter if they should be or not. When you tell me that "everyone can eat healthy" and I say "they can't afford x because of y", you telling me that they shouldn't be in that situation in the first place has nothing to do with whether or not they can afford it or not. Stop going off on other tangents. Jesus Christ.
  3. The face was because you said the Bills shouldn't disrupt 2 positions with 1 injury, and should instead have someone that can step in there. Right after that, you went on to say that if our Center got injured, Wood would play center and someone else would play guard... which would be disrupting 2 positions with 1 injury...
  4. I work with statistics on this crap every day, so if you want to make statements where you are just assuming things and have no actual evidence for, then have at it. "The only place I've ever spent significant time that was truly impoverished was in rural KY." Why am I wasting my time?
  5. Have you guys ever had kids to take care of and entertain, with no significant other, had to work long hours to pay for everything, bills to pay, collectors to dodge, making sure the kids have everything they need, making sure you have everything you need, while living with no money at or below the poverty line? These are my clients every day. The limited amount of time they have to spend at home, because they work such long hours, is spent on much more important things than how healthy the food they are eating is. When you don't have money, and you're living paycheck to paycheck, especially with kids, your priorities are that you ARE EATING, not WHAT you are eating. Everything is in a rush. They have every little thing to worry about. Their kids are crying, they need a bath, this one needs this, this person is calling on the phone asking for this, you owe that, the deadline for this is tomorrow, do they have clothes to wear.. it never ends. The bills and the stress these people rack up is unbelievable. Healthy eating is the least of their problems. Until you've either lived the life or had extensive experience with it, don't tell me how easy it is or inexpensive it is to do something. You think these people have time to go to a library and look up fuggin recipes or spend hours in the grocery store and at home cooking healthy meals? They're lucky they have gas money for the week.
  6. Do you not realize that money is an enormous problem in this country? You act like everyone can afford everything, and it is their decision whether to eat healthy or not. It really is not that simple. Not eating healthy is cheaper, more convenient, saves time, and tastes better.
  7. Correct. Wright was not cut because he didn't produce, he was cut because he was hurting the team through fumbling and just being horrible overall. Fine has done neither. Fine has not hurt this team at all, and when given the chance to be in there with the starters, had a very good game (Jets). Those are two completely different situations, and they don't even compare slightly.
  8. Do you know why Wright was cut?
  9. I shouldn't even have to be "insightful", the reasons are common sense: 1.) We already have a glut at the receiver position, and don't know who to cut and who to keep. 2.) How are we going to keep Lee Evans, Brandon Marshall, and Terrell Owens all happy with limited touches? 3.) Marshall is a headache, MUCH worse than T.O. He is proving to be a cancer. 4.) Marshall wants a huge contract extension. We can't afford to keep adding pro bowl receivers when the rest of our lines suck. 5.) We drastically need help at multiple positions. Now you want to give up a VERY valuable 2nd round pick for a cancer at a position we are already full at? 6.) And oh yeah, he's an !@#$.
  10. That has absolutely nothing to do with the topic of it being cheaper to eat unhealthy.
  11. Explain to the single mother with 3 kids that when her children are crying because they are hungry, she should either go buy a book with money she doesn't have, take a class that requires her to spend money she doesn't have as well as take time off or work, or buy 3 salads for a meal of around $14.00. She's going to go through the drive through and take the cheap ass McDonalds every time, and save on money, convenience and time.
  12. Yeah, the board hasn't been littered with Maybin threads or anything...
  13. Is that really your argument? That our scrubs are ok because they didn't get dominated against other scrubs? Your thought process would have led you to believe Detroit was going to the Super Bowl last year, since they started the Preseason 5-0 and their scrubs dominated other teams' scrubs.
  14. Fine was a 4th round pick from just a year ago. He's not going anywhere. It's between Schouman and Stupar, IMO. And McCall could be healthy as an ox, he's not factoring in.
  15. My God do they ever have a way of twisting words. A plant that is so large a rodent could be trapped inside, and since it can't find its way out, the enzymes from the plant dissolves the skin and flesh, somehow turns into "Giant Rat Eating Plant."
  16. I met a couple that came over here from China. I asked them about Americans being fat. I was surprised to hear them say, "it's not their fault." I asked why. They told me that when they knew they were coming over, they didn't want to get wrapped up in the fatty foods and bad habits over here and didn't want to gain weight, so they decided they were just going to buy the same food and cook the same food that they do over in China. In 8 months, the guy gained 30 lbs and the woman 12 lbs. All from eating the same food they do in China. I asked how that could be possible, assuming they must have strayed from their goals not to eat crap. They said they buy and eat the same food here, but with American food, it is all sprayed with chemicals to either make the crops get larger, or the animal get larger, to produce more from each single entity. They said the chemicals and all the crap they put on the products here have a dramatic effect in the human body. Even though I'd say most of Americans, hell, probably almost all Americans, eat like schit on a daily basis, I'm not surprised to see an article like this.
  17. Yeah but Pat Thomas, Nic Harris, Alvin Bowen? Those guys can at least play. Christian Gaddis? Brandon Rodd? Who the hell are those guys lol?
  18. I have no problem with a player celebrating after a big play. However, McKelvin's antics are far over the top, IMO, and he's making a fool of himself. I never really got behind the saying "act like you've been there before", but he went so crazy that it looked like that was the first interception in his life. If you aren't a Bills fan, you'd think, hasn't he made an interception before? I actually like all the player celebrating. I like Chad Johnson, I like T.O.'s, I'm very pro celebrating. I think it makes the game fun and energizes the crowd. But McKelvin really looks like a fool. It was a fuggin preseason game for chrissakes.
  19. I'm also making the jump this year. I bought the ps3 on ebay and took the S.I. offer on Madden and waiting for them both. I'm a little worried though, since the shipping company sent me an email today saying the ps3 was shipped, and provided a tracking number for UPS. However, when I go to the UPS website and type it in, it says it doesn't recognize the number. Should be an interesting 2 weeks for me.
  20. I was actually really encouraged by his running ability. If he can serve to run in those instances, be the only lead blocker on the team, and be good on special teams, he may be a versatile player to keep on the roster.
