  1. Uhm... he's a fkin pundit. You're surprised a thread about a pundit turned political?!
  2. Alright... I'm about to buy my first car this summer and am working out the pricing and what not. I'm looking at a Civic or Corolla - something small that gets good gas mileage. What types of things should I be looking at for car insurance? How much should I expect to pay? Any other advice? One thing that I realize makes a difference - I'm a driver under 25 who has held a driver's license since 16 but no driving record.
  3. As if the officiating wasn't sh-------? They for sure lost because they came out flat, but they the officiating DID suck, whether lame to point it out or not
  4. Mother!@#$ing sh-- !@#$ nugget !@#$ whore !@#$ episcopalian B word...... Thats pretty much how I feel about that game. The Sabres screwed themselves by coming out flat, and the refs were absolutely atrocious.
  5. There's that liberally biased media in action again.
  6. Because it doesn't fit into your pre conceived idea about the media?
  7. Heh, wish I could find the actual research somewhere on the web. The FAIR article has both results from the research and their own interpretations.
  8. Yeah, thats exactly what I was saying. Media Tenor Ltd., their research, and their conclusions are all credible even if the site that is using it is not. The reason why I posted a link to it on FAIR's site is because its the only damn one I could find.
  9. I figured you would attempt to discount Media Tenor's research because it was listed on FAIR's site. Its why I didn't mention anything more about it. Typical.
  10. Uh, thats not true. http://www.morganquitno.com/cit07pop.htm#25
  11. I caught that segment too on a TV at UT today. Kiper even said that the Falcons might need to trade up to #6 to get him.
  12. Thurman Thomas never broke his collar bone by diving into the endzone.
  13. Without the injury he wouldn't be released either. I do agree with you tho.
  14. This thread is a big fustercluck. Tis why I'm bumping it.
  15. Way to fill up your inbox. Check "Bungee Jumper" if you would.
  16. o great, this guy picked the same games as me.

  18. While I was reading The Onion a few weeks ago, they had a headline titled "Giuliani Runs For President of 9/11". This got me thinking about how the media is characterizing the current leading Republican candidates: - Rudy Giuliani - President of 9/11 - John McCain - President of War Veterans and Iraq - Mitt Romney - President of Flip Flopping (Kerry Jr.) - Fred Thompson - President of Law & Order These candidates have all had sound bytes used to show them in this light. Giuliani's big advantage right now seems to be 9/11 and appearing tough on crime. However, if Fred Thompson does indeed enter the race, I think it is possible he could have an advantage over all of them. Giuliani is considered extremely liberal to be a Republican candidate, while McCain's record has him losing support. Mitt Romney is considered a North East, Massachusetts elitist. This leaves Fred Thompson, who has no political history after he did not run for re-election in 2002, a decision in which he did not want to be a career politician (which will get him brownie points). However, the real advantage to me is that he has a clean slate with which to shape his candidacy. The media is characterizing him as the President of Law & Order since that is both what people know him as and the fact he has no recent political history. While Mr. Thompson would be behind in fund raising by a large amount to other Republican candidates, he has a clean slate with which to make himself the most appealing candidate to GOP voters, the same voters who seem disillusioned with the candidates, as evidenced by Thompson, as the "President of Law & Order", receiving 2nd place in the latest GOP poll without doing any campaigning whatsoever. I think that Thompson is in a unique position, and if he is smart about his candidacy, can more than make up for the fund raising advantage with the image that he makes for himself.
  19. This south park season is amazing. Every episode has been awesome, and this spoof of the 300 absolutely rocked. Could this be... the greatest South Park season ever?
  20. Ah cool, its working again now. Last time I got a message about the video being unavailable but it didn't give a reason why. Funny, but not Daily Show quality.
  21. Who owns and operates the internet now? I took that comment to be pro-net neutrality. It is vague though, some more explanation is needed. In fact, most of their objectives are rather vague and non-specific.
