    That being said....it's Al Davis and Raiders- do people really think he will make that pick? Al...is....Al If he gets a QB before the draft- Calvin Johnson seems logical.

    Agreed.They wont be doing a trade like that. I like Okoye- but feel the Bills will sign a veteran DT before the draft. (of course that doesn't mean they still can't draft Okoye) Stopping the run is an offseason priority and I don't want the Bills to reach for crap because they are desperate and end up having the same problem and no solution.

    But it is fun!!! Hey think- before that the NFL had 17 rounds! Can you imagine watching that on ESPN and NFL Networks? I aleady barricade myself in from the outside world for 2 days watching 7 rounds....17 rounds....wow....

    Agreed Astrobot. He would be a very good pickup. As far as RFA....It can be a hassle-but I like when my team doesn't leave any stone unturned when looking to build a winner.

    There is nothing wrong with takng Levi Brown IMHO. Those that have us taking a QB are clueless and obviously don't watch the Bills play.

    My own concern about him is that from my understanding he has never been a coordinator. Though,as a player he was certainly an exceptional leader of men.

    The last WR we took in the 12th round was in 1984-Russell Davis who played college ball at Maryland. I miss those 12 round drafts!

    Thanks for the background research! I think we have a number of threads on this board now- talking about the cover two. As your research shows- we don't have to spend premium picks to fill the cb position in a cover 2.

    Every article that I have seen written states that Thomas wants to play closer to his home down South and that he want's to be paid like a starter. Marv has said he is interested in resigning him- but the two sides obviously aren't in agreement as to his value. There is still time to bridge the gap before free-agency begins.

    I'm with you on that Dr. Fong! Also- the Colts didn't improve against the run until they inserted Rob Morris in the starting lineup. Morris is hardly a prototype cover 2 linebacker.

    My guess is they will sign a dt, og and cb before the draft anways. Thus, giving us flexibility with our pick.

    I was worried there would be a drop off after Joel's passing- and at first there seemed to be.(and of course it misses some flair) Last year I felt the publication was incredibly accurate. In a sidenote-they actually pegged the Bills drafting Whitner in their last mock draft!!

    I've always felt that the strength of the cover two- or the way to run it effectively is- dominance on the line of scrimage. As Nick Harper, CB. of the Colts stated- they didn't start stopping the run until they went away from the cover 2 much of the time.

    You are right, poor logic. I am surprised that Levi's name barely gets mentioned here though.
