Yep. 1 trick pony. And we finally try a quick hitter over the middle to our only receiving option big enough to not get blown up over the middle and it’s to butterfingers Knox.
We need a RB who can break a tackle. There’s 5-6 yards there on every play if we had a RB who was big and fast enough to break through the line when their DLine is getting upfield.
I hate the fact that we can’t run the ball with our RB’s and it opens up our franchise QB to hits, but we have to run Josh on designed runs to keep their pass rushers honest.
Completely bizarre clock management by New Orleans. Maybe Payton is an evil genius and will end up landing Wentz after letting Eagles win and Hurts now probably starts rest of way.
As much as I can’t stand them and think they’re a bunch of cheaters, they’re too well run and will do whatever it takes including cheating to find a way to win.
this year is most likely a blip for them.
NFL defenses gotta re-think how they defend Hail Mary’s. You gotta send more than 3 after the QB. There’s no point of having 5 guys in the end zone when WR’s can just out-jump them all. I think you have a LB delay blitz so the QB can’t wait for his WR’s to get downfield then step into a 50-60 yard pass.
How does McCarthy survive this year? They look so poorly coached. And he just waddles around sidelines trying to look upset. He’s the George Costanza of NFL coaches.
I don’t think Hurts is the answer for Philly. He’s got EJ Manuel deer-in-headlights-itis in the pocket. Maybe the Philly OL is that bad that you gotta put a guy back there that can move. Bad situation to be in. Wentz is a shell of the QB he was when he first came into the League. It’s not all on the team around him. There might be something physical but it just looks like his heart ain’t into it anymore. Sad to see. He looked like he was gonna be one of the games best for next 10-15 years.
We are getting to the line quickly which helps. Gone are the days when it’d take forever to get the playcall in and Josh would be rushing just to get the snap off. Now we consistently get lined up with 15 seconds left on play clock and Josh gets to survey the defense and use a hard count if he wants.
