Week 11 Around the League
BuffaloRebound replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right now, Colts would beat us 7 times out of 10. Josh would outscore them in a few, but they are way better defensively and more physical. Rivers would kill us underneath and they’d pound it on us. Pettine and Frazier are basically the same person. Bend but don’t break defenses don’t work anymore. Not sure they ever did but when teams don’t punt on 4th and short anymore, it kills that defense. -

And everyone of those holds on the Colts was blatant and sprung the RB through the hole. -

Any defense that automatically gives up 15 yards on 3rd and 19 is trash. Teams don’t punt in 4th and short anymore. The Leslie Frazier’s and Mike Pettine’s are dinosaurs. Watch Indy go for it and get it. -

I really like watching the Colts play. They play so damn hard on both sides of the ball. Not sure how far they’re going with Rivers, but you gotta earn it to beat them. Green Bay isn’t going anywhere with that defense. They are similar to us. -

How do you let Rivers just keep picking you apart underneath? I think these NFL coaches out-think themselves sometimes. -

I thought Wentz was gonna one of best QB’s in NFL for a long time. Seems to always make mistakes that kill his team and just doesn’t look very good. -

He’s played really well since the 2nd Jets game. Too bad Murray didn’t roll to his side on the Hail Mary. -
My Man Cole Beasley

Beasley is a winner. Need more guys like him. He turned down the Pats for us if I remember. -
For those going after our defensive backs...

definitely bizarre. Maybe too cute for their own good or too quick to abandon it. -
Still haven’t seen Allen’s potential

Am I the only one who hates all the called run plays and occasional pass play to Josh? We are asking him to do too much. Find a real TE and and a real running game and stop asking Josh to be Super Man. This is not a long term recipe for success. -

You might be right but I’m assuming we don’t run the ball because the coaches have no faith in it. -

He’ll be that much better when he’s not the best RB on our team too. -
Joe B article on the game (Athletic). Fair.

You think he was gonna get to the RB on that play? Put himself in no man’s land. -

Addison did the same thing on Murray’s TD run. Went for the fake and flailed taking himself out of the play. After 10 games who wouldn’t trade Shaq Lawson for Addison right now? -

Yes, Addison was at fault, but one of your 3 highly paid DB’s have to prevent that catch. -

Agreed, but the fact that we can’t run the ball contributes to blowing 2nd half leads. We are not a solid football team right now. Josh and our passing game and yesterday Bass are masking that. -
Bad coaching bringing this team down
BuffaloRebound replied to Cal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh and the passing game and yesterday a kicker who made 3 55+ yard kicks have been masking the fact that we are soft on both sides of the ball. Throw in undisciplined penalties and we are not playing football that is gonna translate to wins in December and January. -
Top 15 Most-Heartbreaking Bills Moments
BuffaloRebound replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When’s the last time we won on a fluke play... Hail Mary against New England 40 years ago? Every team loses games they should win but these 1 in a thousand scenarios seem to happen more to us. Missed field goals happen. Collapses over the course of a game happen. Music city miracle, yesterday, New England 1998, 2007 MNF against Dallas. These are 100 year storms that happen too often to this franchise. -
I just don’t think we are physical enough or disciplined enough to go very far. Josh and the passing game have been winning us games, but come December and January it becomes harder to win that way. I can’t see us beating New England right now. Miami will be difficult. We should beat Denver and Chargers. Niners are banged up but will not be easy. Can’t see us beating Pittsburgh. I think we go 3-3 and lose in 1st round of playoffs.

Week 10 SNF: Baltimore at Pats
BuffaloRebound replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hate them with a passion, but the Pats and Belichik are a championship organization. If Newton gives them good QB play and doesn’t turn it over, they will be difficult to beat. Bills are not disciplined and sound enough. Too many stupid penalties and bonehead plays. -
Bad coaching bringing this team down
BuffaloRebound replied to Cal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If it’s legal and would help a team win, Belichik would’ve already tried it. -
I’m not talking about stats. Megatron was 6’5” with a 45 inch vertical. If Megatron made that catch over White, you can justify it a lot easier. It’s like getting dunked on by Steph Curry instead of Jordan.

Coaching was fine. Your $10m per year defensive end can’t dive on the ground and let Murray get off a hail Mary throwing across his body and your $17m per year CB has to knock the ball down and not let a 6’1” WR with a 36 inch vertical dunk on him. -
OMG. Stop. Hopkins isn’t Megatron. He’s 6’1” with a 36 inch vertical. He does have awesome hands, but he needed to get a lot higher than White to get 2 hands on the ball. White’s leap was extremely weak and he inexplicable went up with 2 hands instead of 1 to just knock the ball down. Hopkins isn’t gonna be a 1st ballot HOF because he can jump over defenders.
