  1. I’m starting to think jrobs is Chris Cuomo, he’s carrying so much water for the gov he has to be related.
  2. Stop, you’re embarrassing yourself. New Rochelle was locked down in early March. When was the city a few miles away with 9,000,000 inhabitants living in exceptionally close proximity to one another, where people thrive on a mass transit system that accelerated the transmission of the virus shut down? I’ll wait while you look it up. By the way, Cuomo has overseen the designation of NYS as a sanctuary state in violation of federal law. When the tax laws changed, he actively sought out schemes to bypass the regulations as it related to SALT deductions, in a gambit that likely would have landed ordinary Americans in hot water with the tax man. He’s made a mess of the NYS REAL ID/enhanced license because of his decision to disregard federal guidelines for issuance of drivers licenses. He’s threatened to interfere with lawful enforcement of immigrations and customs agents, again defying the feds and sending a big FU to Washington. Suddenly though, on testing, he’s a $#@&ing Boy Scout? Or...is he just an exceptionally weak leader? Stop, you’re embarrassing yourself. (It needed to be said twice)
  3. And just like that, you’re out of opinions on crisis management. I’ve given credit to Cuomo, who is a corrupt politician overseeing a corrupt NYS political system, for his handling of this crisis to this point. What I’ve said is demonstrably true—had he acted decisively and worked with deblasio to lock NYC down, the death toll would be lower than it’s going to be. Everyone banging on Trump seems to know what actions should have been taken early on, in hindsight, and I’d say again, if that’s the standard, let’s look further back when this crisis was percolating in China and study what Cuomo and the dems were saying then-not now. I don’t play that game, it’s useless and frankly, we live in a free society and this sort of thing can wreak havoc on a free society. I hope for the best for my family, the best for your and everyone in between. However, if I was going to play that game, I’d be wonder why Cuomo had alligator arms on shutting down NY, and why he chose profit over people.
  4. You’ve been vocal that the feds $#@#ed this up, and are giving a pass to the leaders of the state. I’m simply applying your logic to the crisis here. I’m thinking if a governor and US senator can tell me the president is a bigot, a liar, and support allegations of treasonous behavior, they certainly could have gotten out in front of this virus. It seems fairly obvious, in retrospect, that Cuomo should have called for an Italian-style quarantine of NYC, or a New Rochelle-esque establishment of boundaries around the 5 boroughs. Yes?
  5. You cannot be this naive. The State of NY has the budget and infrastructure of a small country. It has some of the finest hospitals and doctors in the world, two experienced senators with insider access to international AND domestic intel as to what was coming based on your criteria and the world as you see it. Meanwhile, they’ve been spoon feeding you for 4 years that President Trump is an ignoramus and that they alone can save you. Your boy Cuomo badly mishandled the crisis for the people he’s responsible to protect, your boy Schumer has gone radio silent and Gilibrand has gone to ground to protect herself. I know this, again, using the criteria you’ve set for sitting in judgement of the crisis, because it’s also an international travel hub and they allowed the near unrestricted travel of carriers to/from and in/around nyc allowing the virus to get a major foothold in this country. if you’re going to run about like Chicken Little, dig into the whole experience and whine about all the players, most especially those responsible for NY.
  6. In this scenario, you would probably not want to vote for him in November.
  7. I find it fascinating that the talking head here would sacrifice her credibility by not at least pretending to do her job. It’s possible she can’t count to three, but it seems unlikely. It’s almost like there’s a follow up question but she is afraid to ask it. Statistically less likely, but yeah, even a blind man can....no, I’m not going to say it.
  8. I went with “his nickname is ‘Doubles’, because he always gets to second base”.
  9. And then, she died, and ain't nothing no one coulda done about it.
  10. I think Barbra Streisand was believable in Yentl (which i feel like i saw at the old Colvin Theater but feel the math does not work) she was a laugh riot in Meet The Fokkers, I confuse her sometimes with Bette Midler and I think both/either/neither were good in A Star of Born, pre-Gaga. Celine Dione is NOT one of the Canadians I was referencing, our/my Canadians didn't/don't have fake Frenchy accents, and are not overly-dramatic when they sing, though admittedly they didn't sing to the best of my knowledge. I did think Celine looked good when Leo TheCaprio sketched her nekkid in the Poseidon Adventure.
  11. As are/were some of the most important and wonderful people in my life. Ignorance, like the Wang Chung virus and Niagara Bill's China Fan Club, recognizes no borders.
  12. I did a little checking and found the quote, thanks for sending it over. The man has changed the entirety of his business operation to crank out 50,000 masks per day when the message points over the last 30 days has been that people are dying because of a shortage of masks, people need to do more and corporate America must step up. He’s asked to speak at a press conference and chose to his thoughts on the world. He happens to believe what he believes, says what’s on his mind with no restrictions or limitations on who can use the masks, where he’s willing to ship them or anything other than “I. Will. Help.”. What he said about the school system and society in general is certainly true from his perspective, and it apparently bothers him enough to say so. Meanwhile, the #@$holes in the media line up to mock and lib insults because “the My Pillow guy” was called upon to give. “The My Pillow guy” went from crack addict to entrepreneur to a fabulously successful business that employs 1500 citizens. When called to step up, he stepped up and as near as I can tell, he credits his incredible success in life to his faith. There was definitely some inappropriate b$#@sh&t laid down, but it had nothing to do with Mike Lindell and his views on God and the Bible.
  13. “Pushing his religious views...”? What did he do? Serious question, I’ll search it but I’m struggling with what he could have down that was inappropriate?
  14. Saddle up with the Chinese government, hoss. Great call and it will age well.
  15. My goodness, he's losing the ability to read in real time? I give him credit here, he realized he was lost and making no sense and launched into "Look...the whole idea is...". Usually that punctuates a statement a speaker is trying to make when there is disagreement among parties. In this case, the disagreement was between Joe's original functioning brain and his current addled brain. He knows he wants to make a point, but halfway through the point he thinks about a Caterpillar morphing into a grape popsicle and the sundowner saloon having a new parking lot made of cotton candy. Sad, just sad.
  16. I had an interesting occurrence within the past 2 weeks. 20+ years ago, a friend of a friend had a child in need of life-saving surgery. The surgery involved a loved one donating part of her liver, a dangerous procedure but one she was willing to undergo. Back then, money was donated, the community rallied and all went well. I have had very little contact with that circle of friends in the past 20 years as my life changed, we moved and our own children were growing up. So, about 2 weeks ago, really out if the blue, I thought about the family and what an incredible story it was, how they got through it all and just wondered how the young man was doing. A few days after that, I found out he had tragically passed away around the time I thought of him. I hesitate to even include that part of the story because it sounds gratuitous, but it is what it is. Heartbreaking, the young man is roughly the same age as my daughter and that sort of thing really hits me as I get older. No idea beyond anything I just wrote, but I would say that if o had a thought, people can be closed off to that sort of thing, or open to it. I've had enough experience in my own life that causes me to to believe in something other than just coincidence, though that's possible as well.
  17. CNN journo wastes time on the “appreciated” comments again...causing a 6 or 7 minute conversation about absolute bs. Waste of time. Waste of energy. Precious time lost for the American people who might not give a sh$t if Nancy Pelosi appreciates anyone or not.
  18. Can’t ask for papers, gotta ask for papers, open borders, close borders...worried NYers can’t find sanctuary in Rhode Island.... Liberals...
  19. Bills SB when they win is not first? I have no interest in building a draft board, but I think it’s great that some guys enjoy the process as much as they clearly do. That said, it would be very cool to be in the draft room. It has it all, excitement, disappointment, and dare I say the art of the deal.
  20. Well God bless you my friend. We had the same issues with young kids hitting beaches and the like here in the US, and it certainly can be a problem. I was only in Sydney for about 9 days, my daughter had an internship and was there a few months. We all loved it, and the people were very nice.
  21. Hey Syd--quick question and please forvgive my ignorance. Seems to me when I was in Australia a couple years ago, it was a very popular place for tourists from China and other Asian countries. I can certainly check the internet, but how have you all been holding up in Sydney? Amazing place, hope you and yours are all well!
  22. careful sir. define crisis, and define it relative to the constitution, define it relative to 'experts', define it relative to the rights of the states v. the federal govt, and just to chill it all down a bit more, assume the party you support is not in power at Executive level, nor in the House or Senate. for example...climate change. or, if you please on the other side of the aisle, Trump anything.
  23. ? I had this typed and ready to go and thought, naaaaah.
  24. God and Fred Jackson work in mysterious ways.
