Marrone cut him to teach him a lesson? Isn't it more likely that Rogers simply didn't deserve a spot on the roster?
What do you make of the fact that despite being on the Colts practice squad nearly all season long, Rogers is inactive for the Colts tonight in spite of them having several injuries at that position?
I'm thinking Rogers lacks certain things that would enable an NFL coaching staff to trust him in a game.
I'm sorry to hear Rogers is inactive tonight, not that he would get much PT anyway.
It seemed like some of those OTA/minicamp bombs to Da'Rick may have been just a pitch and catch deal at the end of practice, not really in the flow of regular practice. So Da'Rick may be missing some of the fine print, adjustments and such.
I hope Easley gets a fair chance this week and beyond. That drop was discouraging, but he so rarely sees the field (as WR) it could just be nerves/rust/etc as someone said.

This is probably the most favorable matchup of the season so far for the Bills, yet I have seen less bravado on this board this week. I think the losing is taking a toll. Understandable. This could very easily turn into yet another 5 or 6 win team. But I still have faith they will finish strong and expect a convincing win tomorrow. If they don't, add me to the list of fans who have lost faith in this year's team.
I believe that any "thinking person" can see the turnaround taking effect with the Bills. I think the Bills have a good chance to beat the Steelers this week.
I don't think we need "bravado" or trash talking (kind of silly for fans to engage in anyway) to express our feelings. Maybe if we faced an AFC East opponent, there would be more bravado, but not for the Steelers.
I am very excited about the direction the Bills are going. We failed to beat the 8-0 Chiefs due to 2 or 3 mistakes (bad ones!), but we dominated the Chiefs most of the day, but could not close the deal.
Good times ahead IMO.

I really like Marrone, too, but have a beef with those Spiller-up-the-middle plays.
Why not put Ronnie Wingo in there occasionally when RBs #1 and #2 are hobbled? Hand it to Frank Summers for heaven's sake.

The Bills started the season with 2 rookie QBs, and nobody on the roster that had taken an NFL snap I believe.
I need to see someone play an entire season and make progress before I'm not taking a QB in rounds 1,2 or 3.
I would like to see the Bills trade down, pick up an extra 2nd or 3rd, and use a 2nd or 3rd on a QB.
I'd like to know where a guy like Gamecocks' Connor Shaw falls in this draft. There may be some good QBs in the third.

Jim Dunaway was an American college and professional football player. A defensive tackle, he played college football at the University of Mississippi, and played professionally in the American Football League for the Buffalo Bills.
Murder Charge and Aftermath
In 1998, his ex-wife, Nonniel Dunaway was found dead in a half-empty pool. An autopsy revealed that she had a fractured skull and was unconscious when she was placed in the water by her assailant where she drowned. Prior to this event, Nonniel had won a divorce judgement which gave her more than 800 acres of property that the couple owned, $1800 a month in alimony and half of Dunaway's NFL pension. They had been divorced since 1995 and Dunaway was planning to appeal.
Dunaway was charged with her murder but a grand jury chose not to indict Dunaway of the charges. In response, his children filed a wrongful death lawsuit, alleging that Dunaway was responsible for their mother's death. In 2002, Dunaway was found liable and ordered to pay $579,000 to his children.
Ironically, Dunaway had been a teammate of O.J. Simpson for three seasons.

We probably don't expect bullying to occur among big strong NFL players, but everyone has a different level of sensitivity.

I wish somebody could explain why they would bring in another wide receiver, and they have never let Easley play. Is Easley that bad? Is he unable to learn the playbook? I get it that he is an ace on special teams, but come on, if you need more receivers then why doesn't he get on the field? Even Tasker was given a few offensive snaps every so often, especially when injuries took out the starters.
That is mystifying to me as well.
When Easley played in pre-season, wasn't he hustling and fighting for the ball when he got a chance on offense???
He is a great gunner, but that should not preclude a chance to make a few catches in a real game

IMO, one thing Schiano hated about Freeman was that little smile he always has, even after he throws a pick or otherwise screws up. Josh just keeps smiling (well, he is getting 8 million bucks this year...).

Does anyone recall TSW posters suggesting The Bills try Maybin as a tight end?
This guy struggles to keep weight on, it seems, like trying to maintain 230 pounds.
He is one lucky SOB to get the windfall he received after 1 starting season at Penn State. Hopefully, he has saved some money, can play football for a while longer, and retire when he wants (or can't find a football gig).
NBC Sports channel (Directv ch 219 or 220) shows a few CFL games (Wed night at least). IDK if the Argos are coming up.

From everything I had read, I thought Shawn Powell was going to be a great punter. It appeared that he was a student of the game, he had studied under ex-Bill Greg Cater. His credentials looked incredible All-American, etc
At 6-foot-4 and 245 pounds, he could even tackle the returners, as needed.
So WTF is he doing on game days? I thought the first shank was an anomaly, but then there were more.
I am disappointed that he did not turn out to be a very good NFL punter.
I wish him well, but come Festivus, he'll be near the top of the list of people who have let me down this year.

Smith is an impressive prospect who is slightly undersized. A very instinctual player who knows how to diagnose a play. Started for two years and has speed that will translate to the next level. Analysis
Strengths
Smith is extremely fast and backs it up with the play recognition that allows him to be around the ball all the time. Understands how to be in a rush mindset but react quickly enough to be a factor in the run game. Good tackler who takes great angles in space. Has good technique and uses his explosive hands to keep blockers at bay; a player who really understands the game.
Weaknesses
Smith is undersized and can really struggle against double teams. Will likely be a two-down defender at the next level. Can fall off tackles at times, and can get stoned while pass rushing against more powerful offensive lineman.

Watching the Cowboys game the other day, I really envy the way they draft, develop and USE the tight end position.
Witten is amazing, and then they draft Escobar (2nd round?). And then they actually utilize these guys in their game plan!
