  1. It seems that Goodell was pretty happy with the evidence he had on the bounty case but the NFL won't share it. Now Vilma gets to see the evidence and see what the NFL had on him that merited a one-year suspension and the NFL will be obligated to share it with him. I wonder if this has more to do with the suspension than anything else. How could the bounty statements have damaged his character any worse than the damage done by his being attached to the University of Miami football program!
  2. I hope they win Super Bowl XLVII in 2013. I was Vegas back in March and put down $100 with 40 to 1 odds that it would happen. The Mario signing had me laying Bills bets like it was the 1990's again!
  3. Maybe he wasn't really drunk. Maybe he is a victim of "overtraining." I think Brian Cushing and the Texans' training staff are onto something here. It could be that Gill trained so hard during camp that his endorphins went wild on his day off and he ended up appearing to be drunk in a ditch.
  4. Great now the Bills can play a "home" game in Montreal and Ottawa to expand their Canadian fan base outside of Toronto.
  5. Not sure if he had the "best" arm -- but couldn't Gale Gilbert throw the ball something like 90 yards in the air? Can't win the big one
  6. Why can't that big guy I saw in the supermarket the other day play center for us? He's the exact same size as Nick Mangold? That "big guy" you saw at the supermarket was probably Nick Mangold's sister. Good size but poor speed. She will never make it in the NFL. http://www.doubleazone.com/images/holly_mangold.jpg
  7. Muggins -- No shame in that. I still have a "Bills Football" T-shirt that has "Johnson - 11" on the back. I wanted to throw it out but my friends make me wear it because I supported RJ over Flutie back in the 90's. I get sympathetic looks when I wear it to the gym.
  8. Incentive-laden contract + no tolerance for screwing up = good deal for the Bengals. Plus, the local farmers in SW Ohio benefit because Pacman knows how to make it rain.
  9. Yes. I love the Bills but I prefer watching them at home with sound in the confines of my own home and drinking my own homebrew. There is a Bills bar in my area that I liked going to for the 2007 season but if I couldn't make it to a game then I missed it because I couldn't tape it. I hope that NFLTicket runs the same deal for 2010 that they did for 2009.
  10. That's because no one has hunted naked since people stopped wearing loincloths.
  11. No way that Tebow is closer to God than Frank Reich. If Frank couldn't lift the "curse" then I doubt Tebow could.
  12. Didn't Gayle Gilbert throw the ball 85 yards in practice back when he was a 3rd stringer for the Bills?
  13. Get rid of the Pro Bowl and bring back The AMF SuperStars. Linemen in sea kayaks, linebackers on tandem bikes, kickers on obstacle courses, QBs/RBs playing tennis. That is what I want to see after the Super Bowl. And make sure that Vegas puts a line on it so we can all place bets!
  14. I believe that Smith was given some time when Boller was injured and he played well. He was going to be the starter in 2008 but came down with tonsilitis (or something like that) and lost a lot of weight. Before he got sick, Ray Lewis and the other starters all supported him going into the season as the starter. Flacco ended up the starter and the rest is history. I watched Smith a lot in college and always said that he would be, at minimum, a competent back-up. I think that he is not the long-term solution at QB but would certainly be a good stop-gap for the next 1-2 years while the Bills starighten out their offensive line. I liken him to a younger version of Doug Flutie.
