  1. I think the rule is someting more like your zip code when you install your dish. If your zip is outside the 75 miles, your golden! DTV is the way to go, sorry Cablelady!
  2. The problem isnt HD, its no player stepping up to lead with a fiery, mental toughness to deliver big in big games. Bye Drew, its JP's time now!!!
  3. "I've been bleeding with these guys," he said, "crying with them, sweating with them for the past four years. I don't want to play for Miami or USC. I don't know those guys. These are my guys." Havent had that type of attitude since Kelly. I still strongly believe that the QB's fiery, never die attitude was the main driver to take the Bills to 4 straight! JP has what I, and many others, have been waiting for. His mental approach is EXACTLY what this team needs
  4. One more thing, when I had NFL package under DTV, I set it up in Bath, NY and was able to get a blacked out game. Could it be that DTV looks at your zip-code and if your zip isnt in the 75 mile radius, you get the game? That would then mean that having the DTV NFL Sunday Ticket would give you games that your local channels wouldnt show during a blackout! Local channels can either switch to another regional team if the "home" team sucks, or are stuck with blackout rules if their coverage area goes into the 75 mile radius. So, a person who lives in say Corning, who gets Buffalo stations wouldnt get blacked out games on cable, but becasue their actual zip is outside the 75 mile radius they WOULD get blacked out games on the NFL sunday ticket DTV setup! Is that right? I dont see anyway that DTV could use anything OTHER than your zipcode. The NFL owns and shows the games in the NFL sunday ticket package, NOT the local stations. So, since the NFL owns the games in that setup, and the local stations have nothing to do with it, we cant be stuck with the coverage goes into 75 mile radius rule! They must simply go by where each person lives, which means I would never be blacked out and would see every game regardless of record or bandwagon jumping clown stations!
  5. OK, so what your saying is that the game would in fact have been covered by WBNG if it wasnt covered by the NFC Fox affiliate. OK, so what happened last week? Again, no local coverage here for the Bal game. Remember, a few weeks back, I asked you how long it would be before the stations pulled the plug and went to showing the Jests instead? You claimed that WBNG had committed to the Bills. Well what happened last week vs. Bal? Sorry, this is seeming to be an attack on you, and its not intended to be. This area is Bills country. Im sick and tired of stations jumping on the bandwagons when they need to be showing the Bills regardless of their record. Theres no excuse for showing the Jests or Midgets when this is Bills country! Furthermore, 112 miles away is outside the 75 mile area. I guarantee that WBNG doesnt go INSIDE 75 miles with their coverage. Theres no reason not to show the Bills game last week! You say the Fox affiliate is showing the Midgets instead because the Bills suck, fine nothing we can do there. But still this isnt Giants country, its Bills country! Well, I guess ill have to pick my lazy as_ up and go to the local DTV bar that will ALWAYS show the game. Maybe Ill just get the NFL package and tell Time Warner to go to hell permanently!!!!! Sorry, but just because Time Warner is such a giant of a company doesnt mean their customer service should suffer. Again, I have yet another reason to complain about Time Warner and want to go to DTV!!!! If they truly cared about there customers, they would make sure that the Bills are ALWAYS on in Bills country!! DTV doesnt have that problem does it?
  6. Yet another group of skeletons was found piled on top of a tall skeleton behind the lineup. This skeleton appears to have been petrified, his foot bones were made of stone.
  7. In another discovery, scientists find a group of cavemen skeletons in a field. They are found in an obvious arrangement or lineup of some sort. 2 of the skeletons are found carrying a pig skeleton together! Off to the side of the field anothers skeleton was fond with some sort of head dress. This skeleton had the smallest brain found in any human ancestor skeleton to date.
  8. Peyton Manning without a doubt Fiery leader who puts up and shuts others up. Can always be counted on. Has proven himself time and time again on the field. Sure you could argue: John Abraham Randy Moss Ladanian Tomlinson None would have the impact that Manning would Id love to have Vick even more but he wouldnt bring the leadership that this team is desperate for. Vick is better but Peyton is better for this team!
  9. Give me a frikkin break! It takes at least 2 hours to get to Buff from here. Ohh and by the way Cablelady, WBNG already has switched over to showing the Jets/Giants even though you said they had committed to the Bills. WBNG is ABSOLUTELY not within 75 miles and ABSOLUTELY doesnt have ANY coverage that goes into the 75 mile radius. Come on Cablelady, get on your company to fix this terrible error. First Time Warner takes Empire off there standard package and we get stuck with Nascar and the Golf channel, neither of which are sports. Do Nascar cars even turn right? Then they continue to jack up rates and charge you more for Road Runner if you dont also have their cable package. Finally, they carry coverage from channels more east of here which means even more chance of not showing Bills games in favor of the Jests or Midgets.
  10. Instead he throws it at him and it gets tipped by the defender. Sorry, I want a QB who would have made the heads up call to throw it at Evans feet and make it impossible for the D to make a play on it.
  11. Would any team bite? StL, Sea, Philly, Indy, Bal, Oak take your pick. I wouldnt mind any of them right about now: Tarik Glenn O Pace W Jones J Ogden Tra Thomas Henry and our 1st...traded before they yet again get franchise tagged.
  12. Bill, seriously, I know we dont agree about this but Gheez...Steinbach for McGahee? Why not blaim the personnel department for not seeing the signs with McGee and saving the money spent on Vincent? I, for one, am growing fond of McGee. The guy can play! The money not spent on Vincent could have gone to sign Woody and probably another second tier G. That would have meant Woody, Villarial, and say Cosey Coleman in the same offseason! Im growing even more weary of drafting high round o-lineman, too many years to grow. I want production now. Let someone else train them, we seem to do a pretty bad job of it anyways. The only exception to my dont draft a o-lineman high opinion is LT. Too many teams have proven that a stud LT can make a big impact. Sea, Stl, Indy, Philly to name a few. We dont have to worry about a high 1st in next years draft anyways, cut Drew and take his cap savings to the "I want starting quality o-lineman" bank. Im saying 2 at least could come from Drews cap savings.
  13. I was waiting for a JP = RJ post. Your letting your true colors show. Fact is RJ could scramble too but couldnt do anything else and when he did scramble he got hurt just about every time. RJ sucked but he could scramble. Hindsight is 20/20, we probably would have done better keeping Flutie. I really dont care its in the past. JP has Drews arm as far as strength better accuracy than any of our last 3 QB's, scrambles better than RJ (not quite as good as Flutie), and has the hard ass attitude of Jim Kelly. Thats the potential that I see, he needs to get on the field and prove all that but that seems like a damn good mix for any QB to have!
  14. My point exactly, who are the 1st rounders that make up that line? Tra Thomas is the only one. I, for one, am not sold on the thought that we dont have the talent on the o-line. It doesnt make sense to me that other teams do so well with virtual no names but WE must get 5 studs. Whether it makes sense to me or not, I dont care, Im pushing for us to sign studs anyway, but I feel on any other team this line would be adequate as far as talent goes.
  15. I do in fact feel that JP would do better. JP has the ability to evade the rush and buy extra yarsd with his feet. If he does this well, any defense will feel that they must layoff the rush or they will get burned. Adding this dimension to our O will make everyone better. The o-line wont have to work as hard (they wont rush as much), The opposing D will have to leave someone behind to shadow JP (that means someone is now open), JP should have more time to throw (with a scaled back pass rush), the running game should be better with less people in the box. As for our o-line, I agree, my call is for us to cut Drew next offseason and pick up 2 young studs for the o-line.
  16. Willis has shown that he just keeps getting better, he has the power of Travis, better size, better speed, better hands, better attitude. The only thing he lacks is the break tackle ability but is getting better every week on that too. Mularkey has watched Willis give uys a spark in two games in a row. Travis has shown nothing. The smart move is to send yet another message to this team of losers with loser mentalities that the days when prima donnas could simply show up perform mediocre to awfull and then start the next week are OVER! Do the right thing, right the ship, build a tough minded winners attitude. Send the warning shot across the bow and bench Travis! That would make 3 player moves that say we mean business: Bobby Shaw- cut Sam Adams - Benched Travis- Benched One more to go...Drew benched- let the JP era begin!
  17. Excellent post, ive said this for years now. Who are all those 1st round o-lineman on the Broncos? Yet they cranked out 1000+ runners like nothing. Indys line is nothing special (except for Tarik Glenn), NE's line is nothing special, Phillys line is nothing special (excpet for Tra Thomas)
  18. Sorry, on second thought it is a bit confusing. I meant to say that for the Buffalo Bills to win a Super Bowl, it will probably take: A owner like Steinbrenner- Demanding guy who demands wins or makes changes A Head Coach like Parcells- Demanding guy who demands wins or makes changes Donahoe as our GM- A guy who makes good sound personnel moves and always seems to have decent drafts and offseasons. Id like a GM who is demanding but I feel TD is already pretty demanding and that there isnt really anyone better that I can think of.
  19. Never in a million years would have Steinbrenner allowed this team to suck for the last decade. Never in a million years would Parcells let Drew tell the media that this is his team and he is the QB as long as hes here after throwing 4 ints and a fumble. Parcells would have benched his ass after 2 ints. Accountability has been and continues to be one of the big problems on this squad. Soft owner, fairly tough GM, and soft HC = very little accountability I am flabergasted at Drew for labeling himself the QB for as long as hes here. What frikkin audacity. I want heads to roll for Drews comments. I see absolutely NO reason to continue to start Drew after our 7th loss. We would then be out of the playoffs. I dont care if he played like McNabb all year I still would say start our future QB when your out of the postseason. Im telling you, this may be the move that does it for me and makes me wash my hands of this team until they make HUGE changes and gut the front office, HC, and maybe the owner. If Drew starts when we are out of the playoffs, I will be pissed. That just proves that there is no accountability, this team supports non performing prima donnas, that we are too slow to change and too unwilling to bench players. Thats a huge indication of severe accountability problems. Drew should have acted like the humblest guy on earth after that joke of a performance, now I want him gone!
  20. He picked Rob over Doug. Rob played better the following year and then proved to all of us that he sucks. Did TD go and follow many posters here and get Jeff Flake or stick With Van Chump? NO! He went into the draft and was ready to take Harrington at 4, He didnt get him and took Drew. Many at the time felt that NE had 2 starters and that Drew was the better player. If nothing else, he proved that he understands that you MUST have a good QB to win. FF-> Picks McGahee when TH came off a 1200+ season, many said why? yet TD saw a disturbing trend in TH fumbing and wanted insurance. FF-> Picked Evans and Losman. My Guess is they gave up that much for Losman because, a) They think he is THAT good and B) they saw enough from Drew to start to become disturbed about how much longer he could start. FF-> TH isnt playing so good. McGahee gets better every game and will most likely be he starter at the end of the year. Drew isnt playing so good and, when healthy, Losman may start. TD has allowed us fans, even in this dark hour, to have some hope. We get to actually say, dump Drew start Losman. Many here wanted us to forget QB in the draft, where would we be right now? Thank god we get to talk about a stud RB in McGahee rather than being like, "what the hell are we going to do now that Travis isnt so hot". Add in the TD built defense that is great and you have enough to place some faith in TD. Really the only main gripe I have is that he really didnt do enough to add to our o-line. Yes, Drew proved to be a mistake, but no one knew that and the other choices werent there. Thank god we didnt commit to Van Schmuck, Vol-Pelt, Jeff Flake, or Travis Clown. Everyone here thought we were set at QB after Drews first season here. It all went terribly wrong after that. Again, thank TD for having another option right now! Yes, you can look at our wins and losses and throw blame at TD. But, it isnt a sure thing when you make any move and unfortunatley it didnt go well at all. TD at least gave us a fighting chance. I seriously cant think of a GM id rather have. Whos out there? Whos better?
  21. I NEVER SAID TO BENCH MOULDS!!!!! I NEVER SAID GET RID OF HIM!!! What I said was, lets stop considering him our number 1 passing option. I think he is a possession receiver he is no longer our deep threat home run hitter. Yet Drew looks to him first. Lets stop looking to him first and spread the ball around more. With Evans being our deep threat and having such great hands, I say start throwing the ball more to Evans which means look to Moulds less.
  22. Sorry you see that. I dont, Moulds has dropped too many, not got open too much for me to call him our best player. Spikes is our best player. Moulds is a great WR who is now past his prime ala TO. I want him but as a possession receiver. I still think we need a homerum hitter, Evans seems to fit the Bill but your right lets see it each week. Get him the damn ball!
  23. Mike Nugent. Yes he should be there at 33rd. But im not sure hes the pick that helps us the most at that spot.
  24. I never said for a minute to get rid of Moulds. Im just sick of seeing him as our "goto" guy and then fumble it, drop it, or not be open. Hes our 2nd best WR right now. Evans has better potential. Yeah I want to keep him, but I also want to add some other REAL talent at WR
