  1. I think given all the things that can happen down the stretch we could end up with a pick from 3rd to 9th. If we get the 3rd pick we could trade the pick to a team who wants Leinart. Any of the players projected from 3-9 would have immediate impact on this team.
  2. I think my disagreement lies in my belief that I think Green Bay will win tonight and gain their fourth victory, the Jets will win their final game vs us giving them 4 wins and New Orleans will defeat Detroit at home in what could be their final game in Louisiana. That makes the order -- 1/2 - San Francisco/Houston T3. Buffalo, New Orleans, Green Bay, Oakland, Arizona and Detroit will likely all have 4 wins. I project Tennessee and Baltimore will get one more to finish with 5. Plus, isn't the tiebreaker your opponents winning pct?
  3. I think that the Packers, Jets and Texans all have legitimate shots at winning this Sunday/Monday and it would be great for the first two to get their 4th win and get the Texans two wins away from their 4th (Hopefuly they can get wins vs. AZ, JAX and SF). The two teams I worry about the most are the Saints (With Brooks now benched) and the Niners (With only Houston left as a possible win). I mean if we can somehow get the 2nd pick overall we could likely end up with an additional 1st rounder and enough extra picks to trade into the first round without sacrificing our 2nd rounder. In that scenario we could even see us being able to grab two starting DT's and a starting OT (There are 2 or 3 that could drop to us with the 2nd pick in the 2nd round). Could you imagine that? I can......GO PACK! GO JETS! GO TEXANS! GO NINERS!!
  4. This is as big a must lose games as this franchise has ever had. We must lose this game with Green Bay most likely to win their fourth game on MNF vs. Baltimore to give them their 4th win. Go Broncos!!!
  5. Yep. So did everybody else that has ever come back to football after retiring. NEXT!
  6. It's whomever new General Manager Ron Wolf wants it to be. Seriously. Why are we putting the cart before the horse here?
  7. I doubt it but as luck would have we could have a HUGE draft this year,
  8. He doesn't have a noodle arm but Brady does. Both are incredibly accurate though. Hmmmm.....
  9. I'm not so sure he's a but but he's certainly not the QB that Leinart is. Neither is Losman for that matter.
  10. QB's like Leinart and Young come your way once every couple of drafts and there is a possiblity that they will both be available at our pick. This draft is deep enough at OT that we can likely draft a QB and OT without even trading up into the first round from our pick in the second. Early Rd 01 -- D'Brickashaw Ferguson (6-5, 296) | Virginia Early Rd 01 -- Marcus McNeill (6-8, 322) | Auburn Mid Rd 01 -- Eric Winston (6-6, 310) | Miami Late Rd 01 -- *Winston Justice (6-6, 300) | Southern California Late Rd 01 -- Jonathan Scott (6-7, 310) | Texas Early Rd 02 -- Ryan O'Callaghan (6-7, 365) | California Mid Rd 02 -- Daryn Colledge (6-5, 296) | Boise State Mid Rd 02 -- Andrew Whitworth (6-7, 330) | LSU I'd be really, REALY tempted to grab one of those QB's especially if I could then trade them for picks. I think Brady Quinn's going to stay one more year and blow the f@#$ up with a full year under Weiss' tuteledge.
  11. This draft is going to be almost identical with Ferguson (McKinney) and McNeil (Williams) being pretty close, physically. Not saying they're going to end up the same players but I'd go with a mobile LT after Mike Willaims and Leonard Davis showing that massive OT's don't always dominate in the NFL as they did in college.
  12. I can't see a team that's most likely going to be playing in Los Angeles passing up on a guy who's done it better than anyone over a two year period vs. a guy who's just done it for one. Don't get me wrong -- I'm sold on vince Young. But I think the USC v Texas game could be for the national championship and the first QB taken in the draft if Young has another monster bowl game and brings it home fro Texas.
  13. Actually with NO looking like the next team in LA I think if he's on the board at our pick NO will pay dearly for him.
  14. Exactly. We might even get an extra 1st rounder just by trading down one spot!
  15. I'm going to wait and see what he does vs. USC but man he's a beast.
  16. Amen. I would love to see Drew Rosenhaus' face if we took Bush. In fact, I'd invite Reggie to the contract negotiations with him.
  17. I think its possible but not likely. Jax with John Madden at QB is a better team than SF so I can't see an upset there. Maybe a close game but.....
  18. I think Ferguson will go 3 or 4 depending on who's there at 3. I think Ngato is the 2nd best DT in the draft so he can definitely be had from 5-8. I understand your reasoning with wanting to forget about QB position but this draft is unbelievably deep at OL -- and I'm not campaigning for Leinart to be our pick. I'm only pointing out that I don't think GB is sold on Rodgers as thier QB and they might want to trade up for Leinart. If they do I do that deal in a heartbeat. If they don't I'm still tempted because of how deep the draft is at OL.
  19. You win some (Julius Peppers, Roy Williams, David Carr) and you lose some (Mike Williams, Joey Harrington) out of that draft.
  20. I think we're looking for the 3rd pick in the best case scenario.
  21. Even with Houston having a game against Arizona at home and a game left at San Francisco I think its safe to say the Reggie Bush sweepstakes will come down to the Texans or Niners. After that it gets really interesting for a Bills fan that only has the draft to look forward to.....again. I think that Green Bay very will could win two more games (Tonight vs Detroit and against a Baltimore team that will be without Ray Lewis). If New Orleans can somehow beat Atlanta on MNF or pull out a victory against Detroit (Which is likely) then the Bills could end up with the 3rd overall pick in the draft as long as we can lose out which would mean that the Jets victroy today would put them at 4 wins as well. Seeing as how both Houston and San Francisco have their QB's we could possibly have the opportunity to draft Leinart or Young if we wanted to vs. spending another top 5 pick on an OT. I have to say that considering how deep this drat is at OL I'd be really tempted to take Leinart and try to trade him to GB for picks or stay with him and pick up an OT in the 2nd round. Really, really, REALLY tempted.
  22. Same here. If the Broncos can turn Warren around why can't we give Bryant a shot?
