  1. That's a silly way of looking at the future 4 yrs out.
  2. Not sure I've heard evidence that his contracts screw up basic provisions. He writes up the contracts at the need of the owner & GM.
  3. NHL's problem is all self inflicted
  4. The coach & GM report to the owner, so Whaley was not and is not the coach's boss.
  5. Nobody inside or outside the organization denied this. Both the coach & GM reported to the owner. Whaley is not Rex's & McD's boss. And since that's the case, the only rationale for firing Whaley is that the organization no longer trusts his personnel acumen. As I've said before, analyzing a scout's performance is easy - compare his draft board from last three years to what the players accomplished. There may be many circumstances on why a team didn't get the guy it wanted, but you also know what player the personnel director was pounding the table for.
  6. Distinguished speakers plus food and drink. Not a bad deal for $50
  7. Not a bad deal.
  8. His threat was to not report if he was picked after the 3rd round. If the drafted player isn't signed, he's eligible for next year's draft
  9. Speaking of trolls, my guess is that he was referring to your preamble.
  10. No matter how much I hate Kraft and anticipate that he and his cheating franchise will one day meet their maker, this article is bull ****
  11. Or Blount or Jennings, if we're looking at 1-yr options
  12. Why? It's obvious from Bills actions that they didn't value MG as the long term option, otherwise they would have made a bigger push for a long term extension. We'll soon find out why they are thinking this way. But if their thought was to keep MG as a placeholder for a year or two, then adding a bargain vet is a better option than drafting an RB.
  13. You're assuming that the Bills are going to replace MG with a draft pick as opposed to getting a bargain vet.
  14. Anywhere between a 3rd & UDFA, as per above post.
  15. I think there's only a 2nd round tender and the original pick tender, which is 5th for MG.
  16. Why those whily neocons who orchestrated the military decisions in the UK & Germany.
  17. So you spent a long winded post reiterating that Bills running game depends on Tyrod, while scoffing off MG's bad games when he was the feature back, while conveniently ignoring the circumstances of the NE & Washington games? Does it matter that defenses don't worry about stopping the run when their teams are up by 3 TDs in the second half? That's a demerit for commenting this late in the game.
  18. Greggo's second stink slipped my mind, because you know tossed out of the league thing. Yet the main point stands. You compare McD to mediocre head coaches, and complain about the effects of losing a backup. Why not discuss why MG looks pedestrian when Shady is out of the line up?
  19. By that token, you're looking at a coach who's guided two SB defenses on two different teams, something that none of your sample has accomplished. As for contributing intellectual heft to this thread, it's a fools errand on p.200. It's devolved into a religious battle with each side cherry picking stats to suit the argument. Take your pick MG has crazy stats when he pitches in as a sub when TT is the qb, but he's very pedestrian when he is the primary back. I'm guessing that's what the Bills are evaluating when deciding to allocate $4 million in 2017. Is it a guy who finally got it after getting cut twice, or is he a product of a plug and play system? Orlandis Gary reincarnation, is my guess.
  20. So in castigating me for bringing up QB play in a discussion about the back up RB, you decide to bring up rushing the passer. Mkay And the reason I jumped into the discussion at this late stage is because I see more comedy than discussion at this point. Look at the coaches that you've already compared to McD, certanly sounds like you're getting ready for a lather rinse repeat cycle.
