  1. And the story changes to suit the angle. Suddenly Littman's shadow isn't a factor any more, besides the whole point of why Levy & Jauron got the jobs in the first place. Tomlin and Steelers had zero compunction in consistently letting their top WRs go over the years. I don't think I need to recite their names to a football sage like you. McAdoo had no worries about not bringing Randle back, despite OBJ's and Cruz's injury concerns. And lo and behold they got Randle-production out of a street FA. Now, what's the consistent thread between those two story lines? Just like it doesn't matter who Belichick splits out wide on Sundays.
  2. Yes, since you dismiss the thought that city govt botched the situation.
  3. The beauty about your posts is that you always manage to take both side of an issue without missing a beat. Did you really think Jauron advised the exits of Fletcher and Clements? Or from another post, do you think Donahoe willingly dumped Fat Pat, as opposed given a choice between Pat and Schobel? As for comparisons to Giants and Steelers, please explain how Tomlin and Macadoo were given free reign to dump players, but somehow McD is held to a different standard by you? McD has the same pedigree that the guys above had, and I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt until he proves to be incompetent.
  4. Did they or did they not move the protest location to a more dangerous site? Did they or did they not order the police to stand down?
  5. In your numerous responses you've yet to explain how the Charlottesville gov't didn't screw up the situation.
  6. Then by your standard nobody outside Belichick was worthy of a hire, because everyone else is a nobody or an over-hyped retread.
  7. How much more entertaining does it get than hiring an Oklahoma loudmouth and his feeble brother Fredo?
  8. What was more impactful to the loss, Sammy's 154 yards or Darby getting lost in coverage (in a scheme that suited his strengths).
  9. Which means that technically, Beane wasn't lying?
  10. It's not arguable that Bills got worse on paper. It's certainly arguable whether the talent they lost would have contributed to more wins. To me it's a stretch to surmise that if the Bills jump out to 5-3, they would wilt without Sammy & Darby.
  11. Let me repeat - The Bills went 1-4 down the stretch last year WITH the playmakers everyone is crying about.
  12. Why can't it be in the middle - McD was in the room when Bills declined Sammy's 5th year option, Beane was not McD knew that Sammy was not in Bills long term plans McD knew there was growing interest in Sammy from several teams, and that a near-term deal was possible McD probably didn't know the specifics of the Rams offer on Thursday night before the game McD showcased Sammy to all prospective bidders on Thursday night
  13. Of course it's arguable, because that's why they play the game. Otherwise Bills should have been handed the Lombardi last June because they won the offseason. On paper, the Bills talent is worse today than it was last Friday. But I'm not going to make a prognostication that this team will fall apart if it jumps out a 5-3 start. I'm looking at a top 5 offense which didn't lose much production in the departed vets, and a defense that squandered 4 second half leads. If they hold on to two of those Ws, plus don't trot out the EJ experiment in the finale, it's a playoff team. Last year's squad went 1-4 to close out the season, with the missing talent you're referring to. Maybe there was more to it than the talent?
  14. Why even bother playing then?
  15. But wouldn't you agree that in the day & age of identity politics, babies' proclivity to pay more attention to their own race, likeness or attractiveness can be spun as hatred of those who don't get that attention?
  16. Jets will be in a lot of 9-6 games this year
  17. FWIW, the Jets defense is still awfully good.
  18. Or a stiffed plane ticket
  19. I think they posted the article link last week too, but now added their own commentary about White, Zay & Seymour. M'kay. On another note - listening to Yarborough's interview on WGR and it's impossible not to root for the kid. Load up on your annual supplies of lunch pails.
  20. Did the Bills PR office post #2 with a straight face? Bills ranking #7 of players under 25 included Sammy & Darby.
  21. Sounds like a cure for hangovers. Now wonder jw posted it
  22. Is that why the ACLU worked with the neo Nazis to get the permit for their protest?
  23. I highly doubt that a hunk of metal inspires somebody to be a hateful bigot. To them the rallying point wasn't the statue, but the reinforcement of their view that the white man is under attack.
  24. That sounds so much like what the Bills players said about Sammy.
  25. History shows that WRs rarely provide a decade of top performance. Especially the ones who don't fully commit to the craft.
