  1. First and Foremost, congrats on the win and keep it up!

    Now onto my short analysis.

    1) It has become clear to me that when Gailey sets a gameplan, he sticks to it for the full game whether it works or not. Last week against Cincy the gameplan was trying to win using the deep passes. Yesterday the game plan was Running and short passes. I dont have a problem with this but Gailey has to see that when something is starting to be ineffective, you must change it up. The only reason why the game was close yesterday was because Gailey stuck to the dump off. Philly already adjusted at half time and knew what was coming.

Yep, no vertical passing game this week, it was becoming obvious later on as the Eagle secondary was clogging up the short passing routes.

    3) The Defense played well in the first half, and made big plays in the second half when it was needed.

    4) The D-Line did a great rushing job but often could not contain Vick. ( I do realize that VIck is now the best ever in rushing yards but I still felt that they overplayed before he even made a move to get out of the pocket )

Didn't Bruce Smith look less that ordinary his first year or so? I seem to recall he wasn't getting it done at first...

    7) The O-Line was great again.

Lots of credit to Hairston, but credit also to Gailey for keeping the O scheme within his players abilities. The O line has been a pleasant surprise this year, but I think it has a lot to do with the basic O philosophy, which keeps the line from being exposed - or to put it another way, the scheme fits the players they have now, not the players they'd like to have someday. This is a huge philosophical upgrade from the past decade.

    9) Many people dont like the D COordinator Edwards. I was pissed about the Eagles getting back into the game, but I need to know what Edwards could have done differently. Is it really him the problem or are we lacking talented players on Defense.

Good question. As much as I love the O philosophy, the D is a mystery to me. With the player changes from last year - Merriman, Barnett, Dareus - you'd think the D would be much better than they seem to be.

    11) We need to use Chandler more. He has shown to be very effective and reliable

He's gotten a good amount of touches thus far, but he may have been under utilized yesterday.

    12) No one can say BILLS football has not been exciting this year. Im cheering for a playoff appearence but FINALLY weve got something good to watch until the end of the year unless we completely collapse.

    +1

  2. As bad as the Bills have been over the last decade Buffalo radio has fallen out of major league thru minor league to little league.

Maybe Buddy does not want to associate more than he needs to with a bunch of non-lovable losers.

    This.

Since WNSA went belly up there has been no competition (WECK never really took off with their sports shows) in the sports talk market and WGR (which was actually good way back when) has been just awful for quite a while.

  3. Props to the OLine as due of course, but I think no small part is due to the offensive scheme of getting rid of the ball too quickly for the rush to break down the pocket. Credit for this goes to Gailey for putting his players in situations in which they can be successful.

Yes, the run game has been successful, but I think passing has set up the run here.

Good coaching/scheme/execution, but if we were running a run first or deep ball offense I think we'd see different results.

  4. I'd have to say Brady's interception.

    Or Brady's other interception.

    Or Brady's other interception.

    Or Brady's other interception.

    It's hard to decide.

    Well played sir!!

I loved watching Chan grind the clock down at the end, knowing that the Pats could do NOTHING to stop it from happening.

Crazy as it sounds, I also loved the 4th and 10 in the 1st half, even though Fitz threw a pic on it. I like the decision making that led to the attempt to go for it. They were in a position that would have made a punt likely to be a touchback, and the end result was NE ball around the 30, so no real loss in light of how they were moving the ball up to that point. I love the fact Gailey gave Fitz the opportunity to make something happen in that situation.
