At some point, the cap is going to blow up in his face.
I feel sorry for whoever has to clean up the mess. I don't think Ralph is going
to lend him any $$ to save his sorry butt this time!

Dude, who wouldn't go down on a trucker for half a sahlen's ham sandwich?
Don't even get me started on what I'd do...I mean...Beebe....would do to a trucker for a sahlen's hot dog!
I hear ya, man!! Add in a generous helping of Webers, and ya can tie me naked bent over a fire hydrant at a truckstop with a can of crisco on my back!...I mean ya can tie Beebe....

spilled beans do make for a mess no? get all mushy on the floor when you walk on them
Especially if they are baked beans.
What a mess.
I wouldn't want to clean it up!

Having EM back would not be a bad thing as long as he patched things up with JP. As mentioned by others, he is the type of receiver we are lacking at this time. Unfortunately, I don't see him signing for the vet minimum. If he signs, look for a contract similar to Price's. There is no way he is going to play for minimum when Peerless is making, what, $2M a season.
If he wants to play ANYWHERE he may not have much of a choice. After all, nobody seems to be beating down his door.
Minimum plus incentives makes sense to me.

If he is coming back with his tail between his legs and humbled by the experience of the past year, then and only then would I start looking at him to see if he can fill a need.
No other team has made a move to get him on the roster, he isn't a hot commodity.
After the draft and the early June washed up veteran yard sale, we'll see if he merits some attention.
I wouldn't object to him coming back, I have the feeling Marv and DJ would make the situation pretty clear that he
would need to sing the company song before they give him a contract.

Going to announce a new Bills HOF at OBD. The Dipstick HOF. Fred Smerlas going to be first inductee.

Guys have done it before. You have to remember it's not just leverage with the one player but leverage with the team as whole, which was in a fractured state after Mularkey and Donahoe left them last year. Marv had to build confidence in the direction of the team and the direction of the front office. That was not going to happen with one of the team's best and most talented players holding out. If it was the only way Nate would agree to play for us last year, it was the only way and I would rather Marv did that than played hardball. It could have been the difference in 2-3 wins, which is huge for a young and rebuilding team with a new staff. I don't want to lose him this year but that's a risk worth taking, I think.
And with the idea of the team as a whole in mind it is imperative that Marv keep his word and not use the tag as some have suggested. He will lose tons of credibility with his players (and potential free agents) if he reneges.

IIRC, it is still blacked out in the local market regardless of having ST.

Worst of all is now we have to listen to another week of whining from the WGR guys.

Way to go 12th man!!!

I disagree, that one will get called every time. It is very likely that ball is intercepted if the push is not made, it is a very obvious call.
I think making it a 5 yard penalty and loss of down would be a good compromise.

Hello Mr. Finkle's Nephew,
I'm sorry son, but I don't write Tuesday Morning Quarterback, that's Gregg Easterbrook. Maybe you should have asked your uncle before writing your kind message. I write Monday Morning Quarterback, and I agree with your points. I'd be happy to answer any other football column related questions that confuse you.
Signed,
Mr. King
pwned!

You are correct.
You see these are the same people who truly believe Jim Kelly turned the franchise around and think that is how we fix the current problems. Not the fact that Jim plus about 25 other very good players turned things around. Jim was the cover boy and a very important piece, but so were Thurman, Bruce, Andre, Biscuit.....
Not to mention the fact that most forget Jimbo had a couple of years of seasoning in the USFL before he came to Buffalo, and that he had his moments here as well.
I can remember a Reich-Kelly mini controversy, as well as Bill Polian telling the press that if they didn't like Jim Kelly as the starter then they should "get out of town."
Of course, time has a way of erasing some of the unpleasant moments, eh?

Hehe, I almost posted the same thing after looking through the NFL.com stats pages.

It's on CBS, so 4-1 like the first two I would imagine.
Gotta agree on the consensus that SD game will now suck to watch after getting spoiled on HD. I got a 57" Hitachi widescreen rear projection set last year, and got HD over the summer. I still am amazed at the picture quality, and watching football in HD is the absolute mutts nuts!!

I got HD over the summer, so this is my first season with it. The Pats game looked awesome, I can't wait to watch a win in HD now!!
I hear hockey looks great too, hopefully the Sabres get some HD love this season as well, I can't wait to see what a high def Slug looks like!

There is plenty of blame to go around for that loss. Consider the fact that the defense gave up a 93 yard scoring drive, and couldn't stop the running game when it counted.
ST were sub-par (which makes me look for a big week against Miami!), and the offense, though improved from last year in many respects, still can't get it done over 4 quarters.
What we have here is a work in progress. I expect to see things get better as the season goes on, but I think playoffs are a bit premature and Losman-bashing at this point is way off the mark.

He was ok when he first started, but went downhill when he started indiscriminately bashing the Bills. It was funny at times, because one day he'd say one thing, then next day he go off on the exact opposite. Then every time a caller parroted something he had said earlier, he would treat them like football geniuses.

What Congress Could Do for Buffalo, re: Bills

I'd normally agree, but the NFL gets special treatment via the anti-trust exemption as well as receiving taxpayer funds in the form of stadiums/improvements. With that in mind, it gives the govt a valid reason for exerting some influence in some of the leagues business.
