I mean no harm Bills fans. The only time I root against ya is against us.
Wasn't that a Saturday game?
Nope. Sunday.

12/22/02. Coldest day of my life. It was so cold that Pinto Kenny couldn’t get the oil hot enough to cook the wings at our tailgate.
Pack fans were great. Stadium was great.
Best memory of that trip was the night before the game when 20 of us had dinner at Brett Favre’s Steakhouse - all decked in our Bills gear. After dinner, our server asked if we wanted to meet Irv Favre who was running the place. We of course said yes. He came over to the table and asked if we were all Bills fans we confirmed that indeed, that was the case. He looked at us, nodded his head and said “well, all I gotta say is that you all came a long way to see your team get their a$$’s kicked”! It was absolute classic.
Oh yeah, Bills got shutout 10-0.

I'm reading this and laughing at myself!
Great stuff there. Thanks for posting!

Was that before 1982 or after '85? If I was living here then that would have been a no miss.
Definitely in the early '70s.

What year did you see them? I don't remember a snowstorm and I thought I saw them during the summer. I do remember someone in the crowd yelling "Journey to the Center of the MInd." Ted yelled back " What do you think this is, AM radio."
Like I mentioned, I'm not sure I'm having a correct recollection of the day. There were a lot of...ummm....fuzzy nights back then. I could just as easily be confusing that show with another night we were there. I do remember that there were very few people attending that night which surprised me.

I actually was there when Ted (Mr. Mellow) Nugent and the Amboy Dukes played. IIRC, there was a snow storm heading in and the place had maybe 100 people for the show. I spent the entire night standing right in front of TN watching and listening. It was quite the night.

Got it on Tune-In internet radio right now but yes, I've previously experienced the same thing that you have.

JM & DJ were actually responding to an LA-based Bills fan who called-In and commented on that HE didn't get all of the negativity that he hears on 'GR and reads on-line. This dude made the phone call that I've been wanting to make for a long time.
The Bills actually, really have a shot at making the playoffs. Maybe they will, maybe they won't but all we hear is that it doesn't matter because it will mess-up the draft position. Problem is, we've been conditioned to think that way for well over a decade now. Always worry about next year. There's a whole generation of Bills' fans who have never experienced a true winning team or winning environment.
Next year will come in due time. This year, this Bills team still has a legit shot of putting the 17 years of torture behind us. We should all want that.

John Hummer - Princeton. I hated that pick and I'm sure they did too.

It's really simple... Billie Buffalo.

I know Irma is very serious stuff and am hoping that all Floridians are safe. Football takes a back seat when it comes to safety and downright survival.
For any Bills fans who made it out and may have ended-up in Mobile AL, (like we did) I just spoke with a local sports bar mgr. who will put the game on for us if I let him know we're coming.
If you are in Mobile and want to see the game on Sunday, please pm me and I'll give you the details.
Tony.

.... Although I don't see Cersei just abandoning her brother/lover completely. He's also key to leading her army.
Actually, I'm thinking that Jamie is taken captive and while with Tyrion and Dany, finally realizes how truly evil (and insane) his sister really is and more or less, changes sides.

Wine $300 - $400. Good thing now that I and retired I don't eat much.
I better set up a go fund me account.
Send me wine please.
Yep. Wine is the problem. Not much beer and maybe one, max two, cocktails per week. Darn it but pret' near a bottle of wine (between the little lady and me) with dinner just about every night. Gets very expensive rather quickly. Can you make that a go-fund-us?

This was my clear number 1! Can never hear a helicopter fly by without having "The End" start playing immediately in my head.
This is number my #2 as well - Sergio Leone's "Once upon a time in the West". First time I saw it, I said WTF is goin on:

Agree with what already has been posted: "JAWS", "Star Wars", "Raiders of the Lost Ark"
I would add, "Once Upon A Time in the West". Not just the opening scene, but the second scene as well.
"The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring".
Heck, the whole darn movie.

...He came back on the line and told me that there would be no charge this year for Sunday Ticket Max. I was a bit taken aback and asked him to confirm which he did. Shortest call I ever had with Directv and great start to a weekend.
Hope everyone else does as well or better.
Beware! I went through this exact scenario last year and got into a huge fight with DTV. If I'm wrong then I apologize but I'd bet dollars to donuts that you only are receiving the ST max for free while still paying for the base ST package.

Hey, 16 was generally close enough in those days! My how the times have changed!
For any Atlanta folks who miss Teds, try Barkers Red Hots in Marietta. Only open for lunch during the week. Not just a decent dog, they are a true knock-off with "Crystal Beach fries", Weber's mustard, chili sauce ("Signature Style") and they (at least used to) have Loganberry. Good dogs if you are craving. Little family run joint.
So, I'm gonna be driving thru ATL next month and thought this would be a great stop. Alas... closing for good on June 23rd.

Would you welcome him back? None of our current number two running backs has impressed me....
- They guy we drafted this year, Johnathan Williams, I don't even remember a single play he has made.... way to early to call him a bust.
- Reggie Bush... nothing
- Mike Gillislee... not impressed at all.
At this point, I would even talk with old man Freddie Jackson (I am joking of course).
What if the plan all along was to bring him back after week 4? Just saying.... I would not put it past the GM and Rex. They tell KW "you have an extra month to shed the weight... just do it and you back on the team."
If he spent the last 4 weeks losing weight, getting straight and getting into playing shape, I'd give it a shot. He was a powerful inside runner LY - something that appears to be lacking so far.

We might not want to go out of our way to claim this one, but John Wayne Bobbitt.
Likewise, Timothy Mcveigh was also a Bills fan. Saw a pic of him in his cell on death row wearing a Bills sweatshirt. I had to look away.

Why three columns?
Like many of us, I've been in front of a screen for years as part of my job. Much of that time is with Outlook as the primary screen. I set-up Outlook to have PST files on the left side, Calendar on the right and current emails in the middle (main) area. I guess it's just how my brain works. I can scan upcoming stuff for the day or week on the right and have quick access to files as needed on the left.
So (again, this is just my thought), with 3 columns, I can see all of the current news in the middle section; links to forums, etc. on one side and links to other stuff like Sabres Space, OTW, etc. on the other. This way, the user doesn't have to scroll all the way down to see all of the links like we currently do on TBD. I often find myself losing interest as I scroll down the center section of TBD's daily articles so I may miss some links on the right that could interest me. If they were further up on the left side, it's possible I'd see pay more attention to them.
Would also be cool to always have the schedule on top of one of the columns and that would also be possible with 3.
Finally, I have to believe the vast majority of screens are now wide format so why not take advantage and have content on both sides of the main area?
-
I really 2 like themes (for probably the same reason): SixteenNine Pro theme and Eleven40 Pro Theme.
My reason is that those two in particular appear to allow for easy and intuitive links to other areas of TBD.

For my taste, Amherst does a great job followed very closely by the "Killer B's" - Bocce on Baily, Blasdell & Bella.
Man, I want to hope on a plane just to go to one (or all of 'em) right now!

Just my opinion:
Regardless of the numbers situation you've been facing, you should have addressed the issues with this kid as soon as they started. By letting him get away with disrespecting the game, you and his teammates, you inadvertently approved his behavior. Just because he was one of your better players, it shouldn't excuse the fact that he was dishonest and was disregarding his obligations.
I guess I'm saying that by not addressing the bad behavior immediately, it grew to the point where he felt he could blow-off the last game of the season and let his teammates down by forcing a forfeit.
You would have been better confronting him early on. If he walked, he walked. Or maybe, he would have somehow realized his mistakes, grown up a little bit and committed to the team.
