One thing that I have not seen mentioned is that Desmond did not seem to recognize Jack during their stand off. If it is a time travel thing, perhaps Desmond has not actually gone to meet Jack yet. Maybe it takes place in his future and Jacks past. If that makes sense.

I probably will. This may sound wierd but I just don't know if his show will be as good. So much of the appeal of his show now is the shock factor. The "I cant believe that happened on the radio" moments are what makes his show so great. It is fun to see how much he can get away with. If he can just do whatever he wants, and say whatever he wants, I think he loses a huge part of his show.
