  1. The first part of the quote sounded like a coach who coddles his players and the second part sounded like a man who's obsessed with how tough the league and division are. Both vintage Jauronisms which doesn't give me much hope that he'll change his losing ways in '09.
  2. Here's what a REAL head coach like Bill Parcells would say... "To be honest, I can't tell what any of these guys can do without pads and full contact. My message to the team was if your name isn't Brian Moorman, be prepared to compete for your job. It's up to them to do what they have to do to get ready for training camp. If they don't know by now and if they're nervous about how tough the NFL is then maybe it's best they find another profession. If you don't have a passion to win and don't put in the time and effort necessary to excel in this league then you will not be a on this team in 2009. See ya in training camp fellas." Instead we have Mr. Rogers who's way too eager to hand the players slippers and a warm cup of hot cocoa.
  3. 10 years ago... http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/1999/ Turns out the "Chicken Littles" have been right the last ten years. I stopped being optimistic since October of the 2007 season when it became crystal clear to me that Jauron 2.0 was every bit as bad as Jauron 1.0.
  4. Firstly, these are my favorite Dick Jauron supporters' unintendedly funny, outrageously understated qualifiers... he's not my favorite coach he's not the greatest coach he's not the best coach Secondly, that Dallas game was one of the few in the Dick Jauron losing era where the team actually looked like they were trying like hell to win a ball game. It just magnifies how lifeless this team is when they aren't playing the Dallas Cowboys on a Monday night game. If Dick's defense was smartly lined up defending the sideline pass then they would have won that game, btw. Also, I was at the debacle at the Meadowlands where Dick green lighted the pointless Losman roll out play that blew the game. Actually it's the opposite of what you think, Dick Jauron continually puts his teams in position to lose when the game's on the line.
  5. Not being a tough guy, try reading it again. Dick Jauron, who's been involved in sports twice as long you have, is and always will be a loser. Sorry, what's your point again?
  6. Be happy we have a loser that got us to seven wins with the easiest schedule in team history? Going 0-6 against the AFC East? Losing to the Browns and the Niners at home? I seriously don't know who the biggest loser is, you or Dick.
  7. Thanks for inadvertently bringing this thread around to it's original point. As an NFL head coach, the guy is a coward. It was as true in 2002 (that's seven freaking years ago, btw) as it is today in 2009. The NFL is a watered down product bub, and there no longer are teams that have the quality of the "Bruce Smith" Bills. It's why a team like the Dolphins are laughing stocks at 1-15 one year and win their division the next year. This is a coaches' league. You need a smart, instinctual, innovative and motivating head coach to be successful. These are all qualities that Dick Jauron does not possess. Dick has had three seasons worth of draft and free agency input to get his players in here so there really is no way you can continue to candy coat his @ss. Even if the players do suck, these are his fukin players. It may have been in poor taste, but that passionate Chicago Bears caller was correct.
  8. Bullsh#t. This team had a 5-1 record. It had the same amount of talent that Miami had. Dick "Mr. Pu$$y" Jauron couldn't help becoming too cautious during games and too accommodating during press conferences bending over backwards trying not to hurt his players' feelings instead of holding them accountable. Seriously, how many losing seasons do you need to see from Dick before you realize he's one of the worst ever NFL head coaches? 10 losing seasons? 12 losing seasons?
  9. You seriously didn't just f#@kin say be careful what you wish for in regards to wanted Dick Jauron fired, did you??????? Last 10 games of '08 they had a 2-8 record 0 wins vs the AFC East 2 losses at home against 2 flat out bad teams in the Browns and Niners. Dude, I would take ANYBODY over the lifeless loser that is Dick Jauron. I'd take Octomom. Yes, an Octomom coached team would have the Buffalo Bills playing more fired up than Dick Jauron. The Buffalo Bills were the polar freaking opposites of having discipline and fire last season. Where on God's green earth did you see discipline and fire from the Buffalo Bills in 2008? Were you watching the games from another planet?
  10. Bill said it was a few days after the draft where he heard those comments on Sirius from Marv, not prior to the draft.
  11. PITTSBURGH'S LINE HAD ALREADY BEEN FREAKING BUILT AFTER TAKING KENDAL SIMMONS. THAT'S WHY AFTER 2002 THEY WERE AFFORDED THE LUXURY OF PICKING UP PLAYERS THAT DON'T LINE UP WITH THEIR HAND ON THE GROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. I'm not complaining, just giving a clear and concise observation about the main reason why our team has been pushed around on the offensive and defensive lines for the better part of 10 years. You seem confused and lost in your own argument. The Bills have drafted too many DBs high in the draft and not enough interior lineman high in the draft. This is an indisputable fact and the pathetic play of our lines has been the irrefutable evidence.
  13. Sorry, but your convoluted exercise was pointless. I never stated anything about "1st round" only Bills' DB picks. It has been the Bills' general excessive use of high draft picks (I'm talking rounds 1 - 4) on DBs at the expense of both the offensive and defensive lines that has been their achilles heel these past fifteen years. It saddens me that fellow Bills fans see this as even a point of contention.
  14. Jauron's a disaster. I hate his style. It's painful to watch the Jauron coached Bills attempt to play football on Sundays. I will be shocked if this team has a winning record just because of who's coaching them.
  15. "It starts up front" is the truest saying in football. The Bills have literally been pushed around since Polian left. After finally addressing the line issues hopefully there's a turn for the better in 2009.
  16. You'd have to be a real jackass to not understand that the main reason for the Bills sucking since the Polian glory years has been the ridiculous amount of high draft resources used on defensive backs at the expense of the offensive and defensive lines. I'll let you try to figure out where that leaves you.
  17. The Titans drafted the all-pro Roos in the second in 2005, signed the perennial all-pro Kevin Mawae from the Jets in 2006 and signed the solid Jake Scott from Indy in 2008. Funny how this coincided in their recent success. Meanwhile, the Bills floundered around overpaying average lineman like Dockery and Walker and foolishly believing that guys like Melvin Fowler and Duke Preston were anywhere near starting center material. The signature Dick Jauron draft was in 2006 when they reached for the DB in Whitner over the DT Ngata and then reached for McCargo over the center Mangold knowing there would be blow-back for not getting the DT. NFL pundits and Bills fans all knew better then these morons that year. So all Bills fans were left with was the hope that Whitner was going to be a monster play-making strong safety worthy of passing over a guy like Ngata. Whoops! Let's get real here. The Titans know what they're doing at every level (coaching and personnel) and the Bills clearly do not.
  18. Dude, what part of "these are his guys" did you not understand???? 1. He wanted Whitner instead of Ngata...Loser 2. He had a hand in moving up in the first and drafting John McCargo when Nick Mangold was still there..Loser 3. He wanted Derrick Dockery..Loser 4. Before this draft Jauron was a key personell decisionmaker that was responsible for the malpractice-like neglect of the offensive line in the form of not one lineman drafted before the fifth round and ending up with the likes of Bell, Butler, Pennington and Mertz..Loser 5. Not only did he think Kelsay was starting material, he was on board for the big fat contract extension while going cheap with their all-pro left tackle to the point Peters forced a trade..Loser 5. He wanted Robert Royal..Loser You literally have nothing to hang your hat one with regards to Dick Jaroun. Not only does he suck at being a talent decision-maker, he's going to go down as one of the all time worst coaches in the league. BTW, I believe that if Dick were given the 2008 Pittsburgh Steelers last season he still wouldn't have been able to have a winning season.
  19. The debating is over about Dick Jauron's head coaching abilities. The jury is in and he sucks monkey balls as an NFL head coach. Frankly, I wouldn't even hire him as an NFL defensive coordinator. For you to keep on excusing this guy's suckitude has now broke on through to the absurd side. Not only does his schemes, game planning and game day decisions suck over and over and over again, the guy has had three years worth of drafts and free agent signings to get "his" players into Buffalo and they still fell off the cliff in 2008 not even winning one freaking stinking AFC East game and losing to the Browns and 49ers at home along the way. They finished the last ten games 2-8. He isn't even excused by poor talent because these are his guys. Other than being good at being a nice guy, he sucks every which way you can suck. Please get a clue.
  20. Seriously, is there some sort of Cult Of Dick organization that's brainwashing you Jauron fans into believing these garbage excuse talking points????
  21. Hey, at least that's a reasonable explanation for the undying love for such a well established loser.
  22. I've always considered New Order's "Regret" as being one of the most underrated albums of all time. The rock/dance fusion album is chock full of great songs but garnered little to no recognition. Though the album did come out right as the explosion of the grunge/alternative sound. New Order couldn't have been more different that that sound.
  23. Dick Jauron coached chickensh*t football in 2002 (pssst...the "coward" comment was dead on), just as he's still coaching chickensh*t football in 2009. "Hi Bills fans I'm The Big Cat, and I think Dick Jauron having a 7 out of 8 losing seasons record is pretty sound and reliable."
  24. Perhaps it's the idiot coaches' schemes and game plans that put the line and QB in impossible positions? You can't be serious with this stuff, can you? This is proof positive that there were a couple Jet fans still supporting Kotite to the dying end.
