  1. Ralph and Marv made a mistake keeping MM...plain and simple. The organization wasn't conducive to winning, because MM was still there. No one was going to come into that situation. For being their first big decision together, it was a poor one. They set up MM, and the Bills, to fail. Now maybe they can put all this behind them and start fresh.
  2. You know, as much as I don't want Haslett, I am just so happy to be rid of MM! I honestly woudn't bat an eye if they said Tice right now!
  3. Bet you are wrong. You may have been right with MM around, but not if we bring in someone with some talent. The promise of a new season filled with new (competent) coaches, a high first round draft pick and 4 picks on day 1, along with some great camp reports will have the seats filling up again.
  4. As in he wasn't allowed (by Marv and Ralph) to hire the guys he wanted....or none of them wanted to work for him??
  5. Well, as long as he keeps it to just the QB and the football team, I can't think of a reason he should go.
  6. I agree, this makes no sense at all. I was so excited as the season winded down that everyone was going! Then I find out that MM was staying and that this team would be in turmoil for the next few years waiting to straighten that mess out. Now they are trying to talk him in to staying!?!? The only thing I can say is TD better have been much more involved in the on-field decisions than any of us know, because if MM was responsible for what we saw last season, there is NO logical reason to fight to keep him.
  7. The Fighting Whities Anyone remember that story? Funny stuff.
  8. It would be a good trade for both teams though. (with the assumption that RW has actually gotten his head out of his ass) Miami gets their QB and can work on the line in the offseason. Houston gets a good RB which allows them to draft local boy hero Vince Young, which also buys them a little time to rebuild the line.
  9. As a Florida fan I would say cross Leak off your list. He just doesn't fit the offense. I really liked his chances when he was a sophmore to excel in his senior year, but not really anymore.
  10. Hey, you can could ask him over and over again who we are going to take with the first pick!!
  11. People have to stop comparing individual positions on the Bills to those positions on the Pats. Unless we are going to get a coach like BB, a QB like Brady, and an entire "team" like the Pats, then stop comparing.
  12. Not easy. First you have to assume that there is a high market value for Clements after the worst year he has had. Assuming that the market is there, it still leaves a huge hole in our secondary. Sure, the lines would be better, but do you really think McGee can handle the leagues top recievers? Chances are we aren't going to get any extra Safety help this offseason that doesn't come in the form of raw talent with "potential". Our corners need to be GOOD. Clements needs to be franchised and KEPT. Work out a deal if possible, if not...oh well. Maybe he will have a huge year and we can get a high first the next year. IF Clements is traded, we better be bringing in some damn good talent to replace him. I won't even bother with the Spikes thing, as it is too ridiculous to even think about.
  13. Part conjecture, part imagination. We do live in a Madden world after all. Chances are we will get comp picks for Williams and Jennings. I wouldn't be surprised if one of them were as high as the end of round 3, but they could be round 4 or 5 too. We do not, and will not, have any extra picks in the second round without trading for them.
  14. I think he will come out and start right away, where ever he goes. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that at the latest it will be Houston with the first pick in the second round.
  15. I missed out on this last year, so in order to act quick...I'm throwing my hat in the ring now! IF Nutcrackers is out, I'd like to jump in! (Not in any hurry for a response, just wanted to get it out there.)
  16. Every year the next Pace and Ogden are in the draft. Guaranteed!! How many Pace's and Ogden's are running around? In fact...we have one of them right now. You are assuming that the only way to fix this line is to address it with the first round pick. Really, I'm just as excited at the starting guard prospects that will be available in the low second round like Max Jean-Gilles, Davin Joseph, and Charles Spencer. Those guys would all upgrade the line, and allow us to have 2 starting players added in the draft as opposed to 1. Also of note is the fact that this draft is so deep at lineman it would be very possible that we could find another starter, or soon to be starter, for the inside of the line with one or both of our 3rd round picks. So I don't want to trade those either. We need the picks, and no GUARANTEED lineman is worth giving those picks up IMO.
  17. He won't make it to 8. San Fran will draft him if they stay put. It's been said they want to move JJ to the right side where he'll be more effective. Remember, they have a young QB that they wnat to protect. Either way, there will be trade ups/downs. No one knows who will be picking 1-7 come draft day.
  18. Mike Williams is costing us 10mil. If we cut him, the cap hit is 5mil instead. That saves us 5mil. Yes, we lose out on 5mil dollars without a player to show for it, but we can sign one or two players for the other 5 that we are saving.
  19. The only problem with this is that he wasn't given the chance to progress. He was pulled out of the line up.....twice! (Injury my ass) Manning looked pretty bad from his first start to his last, and looked much better this year. If these coaches would give JP the CHANCE to make mistakes and learn from them, I would have high expectations for him. I am more than willing to call a duck a duck. If JP were a failed experiment, I would say so. But when someone says JP has had two seasons and is still horrible, they are just looking for things to complain about. PLAYING TIME IS IMPORTANT.
  20. I agree about FB. It can make all the difference in the world. I think 3rd round is a bit high, and there should be no problem grabbing Bernstein in the 4th. He's not much of a threat running or recieving, so a lot of teams will shy away from him, but IMO that's not what a FB is for, and he is the best blocking FB in the draft.
  21. I add Hawk to that list, but I don't think there is any chance any of them slip. The Jets are the wild card, but even if all three are still on the board after the Jets pick, I think it's a lock that Mario goes to GB, SF takes Ferguson, and Oak takes Hawk. Of course depending on who the Jets do take, this could leave Kiwi and Ngata on the board, and both will be good players.
  22. 8 head coach vacancies! They would have had competition.
  23. Oh no, you misunderstand me...I was dissapointed that they put too much sound affects in. One of the things I love about the TV show was that when they showed the ship in space, there was no sound...just the music (which there was also not enough of). Inside the ship or once the ship was in atmosphere there was sound affects, but never outside this ship in space. I always thought it added a level of realism...as much as can be added to a science fiction show that is.
