  1. This is the NFL not college, cutting players has cap ramifications.. What if Mario deciedes he does not like plan and dogs it. How do you cut him. I am willing to give the coaching staff a chance and the super bowl should be the goal, not just the playoffs. Lets see how the coach interacts with this FO when they let his players walk in FA or when they screw up the draft.

  2. How do you get rid of Fritz? He has a garunteed contract. You can not cut him and bring him back for vet min. They still have to pay him.Plus the Bills will end up with about 10 million in dead cap money. He may not be starting but he will be here next season. KW will not get you a 1st and a third. No one will do a sign and trade for Andy L. Why would Andy do it. If he signed with the Bills, he would want to stay. Because he is a FA he could sign anywhere he wants.

  3. This is called the Mario Williams effect. They saw Mario get his money without any problems, then watched him disappear for most of the season. If I am Andy Levitre, and I happen to be the best FA guard option, then I want my money too. Why should I have to give a hometown discount, when Mario didn't. Plus the OL has higher franchise numbers than FS. So which one is considered a more important position?

  4. The problem is we can not tie with the Colts. The other problem is we have to go 5 - 0 to get to 9 - 7 they do not. We had our chances but failed again. If the Pats win 1 more came we can not beat them out. The problem is that we do not play those other teams ahead of us. If the Steelers flop then the Bengals will replace them not us.

  5. Along with some others, I wondered aloud on this board if the Pats were making good decisions when they signed Ochocinco and Seymour last year. Of course, we were attacked as football neophytes and worse for daring to second-guess the infallible Bill Belichck & company. Obviously, those indeed turned out to be missteps by the Pats and there have been others recently as well. You don't create the league's worse passing defense with consistently great personnel moves. I'm hoping the trend continues and their dynasty comes to a quick end. Could create a vacuum that the Bills then occupy.

they traded Seymour because he was on the last year of his contract. They would not be able to sign both him and Wilfork plus a lot of other FAs they had that year. So they made a choice and traded Seymour. It is hard to rebuild when you are constantly drafting in the high twenties and thirty one. What BB has done is kept them competitive while slowly rebuilding the roster. Like al GMs some moves work out and others do not. tell me what Scott Pioli has done in 3 years with the Chiefs? They made it to the SB this year and of course the Bills went deep into the playoffs. (Opps my mistake)

  6. Yes the Parcels built Patriots that the great Belicheck inherited and has been credited for, than accidentally stumbling upon Brady who free agents want to come play with and Belicheck is still being credited for all this "Genius" of his

Sorry Parcells was gone in 1994. Belicheck inherited an 8 - 8 team from Pete Carrol filled with overpriced under achieving players in 2000. He did get Ty Law and Bledsoe but not much more and the team was in cap trouble. One of the first things he did was get rid of many of Carrol left overs. Bruschi, Vabrel, Koppen, Harrison, Brady, Branch, Dillon, Washington and others were drafted or aquired by Belicheck not Parcells. Parcells never won a Superbowl without Belicheck but Belicheck has won 3 without him. By the way since, they were busted they have been back to the big game twice 2007- 2008 and 2011 - 2012

  7. Have you send the prices! Costco.com has 3 packages for sale and it does not include airfare. The top package is 2 seats and a 4 day stay at the comfort suites for 15999, the next is different seats but is 9999. The cheapest is 1 seat same hotel and that is 5999.00. This is without airfare. If you have been to Indy recently you can see why there is a slowing of seat sales. There is nothing to do there, except visit the race track. If I am spending that kind of money I want to go someplace warm and have fun things to do, not sit around the comfort suites.

  8. The problem with Peters, was he was OK with his contract until they signed Walker and Dockery to contracts that paid them twice what Peters was making. Peters was the ProBowl left tackle and they were just average.

RW will pay for 22 starters but not for good backups. This is why when a starter goes done there is nothing to replace him with. The Bills lost Wood and the whole OLine fell apart. NE lost thier starting center in the first game and other backup centers and still competed.

  9. They had a damn good defense that year....Belicheck inherited a Parcels built team then accidentally fell upon Tom Brady...prior to this he has been fired from coaching jobs and moved around the league as much as any other coach

How did he inherit a Parcells built team since he went with Parcells to NY in 1995? He did not come back untill 2000 when most of Parcells players were gone. He inherited a bloated overpriced team from Pete Carrol. Remember Parcells never won a Superbowl without BB as his defensive co-ordinator but BB has won 3 without Parcells. NE has been drafting mostly in the high 20 and 30s while the Bills have been drafting in the top tens. What have we done to make the playoffs? bust after bust and FAs walking away. Even though he has not won in 4 years he still had them in the playoffs. when is the last time we have been in the playoffs?

  10. McDaniels has not been the coach of the Broncos for 1 1/2 years. The Broncos were beat in Denver with out McD.

Do you not think that John Fox and his OC did not change the playbook. BB was losing his OC and felt comfortable with his former OC. McD was still under contract with the Rams and they agreed to let him go so they did not have to pay his remaning year. There was nothing about Tebow he was going to bring to the table that BB did not already know.

  11. Letting Big Pat go was a mistake, but there was no way the Bills were going to match the obscene offer by the 49er's for Winfield. He got QB money as I recall. The problem with Johnson is that some stupid team will pay what he's asking, so instead of us having solid no. 2 receiver, someone else will be cursing the day they paid him.

It was Nate Clements not Winfield. Winfield went to the Vikings. Clements would of signed for less but the Bills kept dragging their feet. The Bills let Winfield walk because they had Clements. Like they let Greer walk because they had McGee. They did not even, offer Flecther or Pat Williams a contract.

  12. It is a lot easier drafting 11th, 9th, 3rd and now 10th, to get good players than when you are drafting in the high twenties and 30. Many teams passed on Clay Mathews, not just NE. They do it, to acquire depth and it is a lot harder for players to make that team. Unlike the Bills, if a player can not make it, he is gone, not kept around like McCargo and Maybin. Remember, it is wins and loses that count, not passing yards. Darius should be good , he was the 3rd pick, Spiller the ninth. Let not add Sheppard and Williams yet, they have done nothing much. Soldier has been outstanding for them, he has played LT, LG, RG and TE and done a great job when they had many injuries to that OLINE.

  13. Even if Manning is coming back in 2012, he will have some real problems. Indy has 22 starters and front line players who are free agents. They are at the cap limit so they have no money to sign these players. So guys like Mathis, Saturday, Reggie Wayne and others will be gone. Bill Polian is in semi retirement and his son is arrogrant.

Irsay has realized, that it is over and he needs to move on. The Polians just were not carring the load and causing more problems than sucess. Even with Manning that team was not going to the SB. Go back and listen to some of the Bill Polian show on Indy's web, if they are still available. He would go nuts on any caller that questioned some of his moves. He would call fans rats if they dared to questioned anything he did.

  14. This is why the NFL, is littered with failed players who had it all. Speed, power, size great college stats. But too many player's goals are, to get into the NFL and sign the big contract. GMs and coaches, have to search out the intangibles, like work ethic and determination,to become great. Too many players get the contract, then fail to do the work necessary, to make them selves better. Tom Brady did not wow them at the combine, but he had the determination and work ethic to make himself one of the best QBs.

  15. He is very explosive..no denying that, he was only 21 when drafted...very raw so there is still time before he becomes an absolute bust. A very bad draft pick..cant argue with that either. I dont see him putting his hand down and becoming a effective DE, once an NFL olinemen puts a hand on him he his like the Magna Carta....history..Linebacker is new for him but he has shown absolutely nothing, cant provide pressure and is lost in coverage, he cant even use his speed to be on kickoff or punt coverage. I really hate the praise you put on coaches...Billicek inherited a superbowl contending Parcells team and accidentally found Tom Brady (count the championships since he was busted for spygate..its 0).. Tomlin almost the same scenario from Cowher taking over with a franchise QB and arguably the best D in football. Rex Ryan was handed a very good defense and one of the best olines in football. Fisher? the guy has put together as many average seasons as any coach out there, Granted they all can manage a game better than some of the disasters we have had, Williams, Mularky, and Jauron.

BB did not in inherit a Parcell's suberbowl contending team. Parcell's left in 1995 and BB was not hired until 2000.

He inherited a declining 8-8 team from Pete Carrol and run by an idiot GM named Bobby Grier, that was stuffed with overpaid under performing players. He was over the cap and cut a lot of veteran players with high salaries. He did not even have a 1st round choice that year. The best thing he did that year was to eliminate Bobby Grier. He went 5 - 10 that year and built a team with smart choices and good FA pickups.

  16. this absolutely sickens me. the thought of kraft even being able to mention (whether it happens or not,) the idea of buffalo or Minnesota relocating is criminal.

the patriots were nothing, nobody, insignificant... for years. by cheating, they won 3 super bowls in 4 years, were severely punished by the league, and have not won jack since then. their team is on the downside now, their defense is terrible. pioli left them for kc, and they haven't brought in equal talent since his departure. in 2013, when this is supposed to happen, the pats will be right back where they belong - to being the patsies. a cupcake win on everyones schedule. belicheck will have left town, Brady will have retired to pursue a political career.

and you're gonna tell me that the owner of THAT team wants to move the legendary MINNESOTA VIKINGS?!?!?!?!

all i can say, is bills nation better fight just as hard to keep the vikings in Minnesota as we do to keep the bills in buffalo. would truly be a monumental loss for the league to lose a fan base that rabid.

Sorry but NE still has a great owner. If and when Tom Brady and BB leave, they will have a plan to stay completive.

Kraft never mention any team that, would be the one to go to LA. The Media picked the teams. The NE team has sold out every game since 1994. The have been to 5 SB since then winning 3. But you are right they only went 14-2 and beat all the teams in the playoffs except KC at least once. Defiantly on they way down. Since Pioli left their last 2 drafts have been impressive. Compare that to what we have done.

LA lost 2 teams because the Colosseum is a piece of crap in a bad part of town

The Rams moved to St Louis because that where the owner's widow wanted to go.

They gave here a new stadium, concessions, parking and 50 million fund to do it.

St Louis now is wishing that they never did the deal. They are losing tons of money on the deal!

  17. I think he creates a draft board, listing who the best pro prospects at each position. I do not think he creates a list of who the Bills should pick in each round. I think that is up to the GM and coaching staff, to determine who is the best player for the system they run. Based on the scouting, he creates a board that list, these are the six best tackles, or RBs ETC. I think the failure, is the number of coaching staffs, that the Bills have had over the last 10 years. Each coaching staff, seems to have different systems and requirements. To me, that is where the failure is.
