  1. Do you define "make some noise" as making the playoffs, or having a chance to do something in the playoffs? Because there's a difference.
  2. So your take on this would be different if the Giants had lost Monday night? That seems pretty silly to me. Jackson said what he said before the game and apparantly his opinion was wrong. Oh well - as if that doesn't happen every week on every pregame show.
  3. TJ on WFAN I have to side with Jackson on this one. STFU Tiki
  4. I'd like to see him more involved in the receiving game as well. I know we need all the help we can get up front, but whatever; find a way. I don't think JP needed much time to throw that seam route that was completed last game.
  5. I'd go w/ Taylor because the Vikings will likely be in the game in the 4th Qtr and there's a decent chance the Bucs won't be.
  6. Probably close, but I think I'd go Foster over Taylor. The Panthers rookie RB is banged up and Jones-Drew appears to be the goaline guy for Jax.
  7. Is there no middle ground between all pro and JP's current play?
  8. The Steelers game last year wasn't exactly the same old script even though it was the same result. The NE debacles were more about choking/accuracy and less about pressure.
  9. Daquix, I'm not surprised that you're a law student because it really does seem like you llike to argue for the sake of arguing an awful lot. I really don't think anyone can watch this game or the Skins game last yr and say that he's had decent protection. As pointed out in another thread, a lot of that is because defenses just have no respect for the guy whatsoever and blitz him more than they blitz any other QB. I mean the most conservative defensive coordinator in the world will turn into Jerry Gray when he's playing Bledsoe providing he's not retarded.
  10. Haha nice catch TO
  11. zomg, helluva time to pull the trigger on this.
  12. Whoa saw the halftime segment - you guys are right, the Price & Carr hits were weak. I was watching my 1st Sabres game of this season since opening night myself; thought I was going to jinx 'em but I guess they're pretty good.
  13. The problem seems to be two-fold (well it's actually like fifteen fold but I'm trying to simplify things). I agree that it is inexplicable that the defense got destroyed on the first series in a must-win division home game. Most teams at least start well and are fired up in those situations even if they don't win. It's also a problem that the team continues to fail to overcome any adversity when something goes wrong. A couple examples: KC is a mediocre team playing a superior opponent in a similar situation and they came out firing in the 1st Qtr. Dallas not so much, but they haven't curled up and died because they got behind by a couple scores.
  14. Good post and a totally necessary thread. Can we plz pin the worst QB performances of the week every week to save space so the JP apologists can rejoice? Thanks
  15. Anyone remember who did the first '04 game when they were both 0-4?
  16. The run defense is garbage dude. When an NFL team gives up two rushing TD's of more than 7 yards, what % of those games do you think they win?
  17. I'd recommend better "post selection" re: what you read. There are 1,000 other threads saying the same thing. He wasn't the only reason we lost; really, you mean the rest of the team isn't good? Thanks
  18. Steelers are on in Philly every week too even though the Jets & Ravens are closer. Credit their bandwagon fans. What can I say, DirecTV is the nuts.
  19. I must've missed the qualifying statement about the first half of his first season
  20. It was a curl route, not a quick slant.
  21. This statement is true of basically every QB benching in NFL history.
  22. We've thrown more WR screens than is typical of most teams this year, and the Roscoe TD vs. the Jets wasn't a slant.
  23. That sums up the last 11 years for me pretty well.
  24. Who cares about Eli? To this day he's far from a great QB. Palmer was pretty good in his first year.
  25. Most CB's who make plays also make an occasional play against an actual starting QB. Schopp on WGR brought this up today and after thinking about it, I think he has a point. Nate basically owes his salary to Ray Lucas, Jay Fiedler, and Tommy Maddox. Other than the Ronnie Brown forced fumble last year, when was the last time he made a play against a competent football player?
