He's a decent game analyst on CBS but a horrible play by play guy. He still isn't as bad as the Colts guy last week who called Moulds making the tackle on the opening kickoff and numerous other botches.
-
What about Jonathan "fast freddy" Smith? The dude is good but he can't return two kicks/punts in a row without fumbling! I don't trust his hands.

I used to hate FF stuff, then about 4 years ago I began playing with some friends. Now it's the greatest thing. I'm a convert. I don't need to hear it on radio and TV shows though,,,,,there's plenty of info on the net or in newspapers/magazines.
If you don't play it, you're a hater! If you do, you love it.

I picked up Fargas yesterday for that very reason (I have Wheatley also). Unfortunately I had to dump Jason Witten to make room. I have Boo Williams at TE.
Another sleeper is Darius Watts (WR-Den). He might just be their 2nd WR if Lelie doesn't produce.
-
Too bad about Jarel Myers. I actually thought he looked pretty smooth out there. It's a numbers game though. He caught everything thrown his way.
Haddad is still hanging around.

Saw him play under Spurrier in D.C. He really never got the job done as a starter. He also took some vicious hits. He's one of those guys where his typical stat line is something like:
14 of 31, 159 yds 1 td 2 int's 3 sacks.
How's that for getting specific?!?

So why does Zolman automatically get cut on Sunday? I agree that he's not the future,,,,but he knows the offense and most of the playbook and he happened to throw the only TD pass of the preseason in a miniscule amount of action. If Bledsoe wnats Brown around so badly then cut him and bring him back as an asst. QB coach for the season. We need three healthy QB's on the roster right now.
-
I'm all for pounding the ball but you have to throw it some on obvious running plays. Some of the people on this board get all crazy if we attempt a pass or a gadget play. Gadget plays get run successfully all the time in the NFL and they are huge plays. Sometimes I don't mind pulling one out even if it doesn't work. I hope they committ to the run but not to the point that we only score FG's all the time.
-
I would sit him out and just give the whole game to Zolman. He can hand off 60 times for all I care and throw some short passes. I would not give Drew an opportunity to get banged up. Even hitting his finger on someone's helmet would be a disaster for the team.

These annoncers are hilarious. They also said on the Colts first handoff to Rhodes that Mark Campbell made the tackle. It was actually Schoebel.

Remember last year's preseason when New England had guys going down left and right? Then they got slaughtered opening day. Then they rose above the adveristy and I think won a little thing called the Superbowl?!?
The Bills now have to overcome some stuff and it might make them a stronger team. When Henry is back and the D is creating turnovers, good things will happen.

The Falcons rookie backup QB so far is 14 of 20 , 214yds, 3 td's, no int's. Second week in a row he's putting up those numbers. Eli, Ben, Philip or JP might not be the best QB in this class. OK, just kidding. We'll check back in 3 or 4 years on that,.

He can never go back to Miami. That bridge is burned.
-
Just remember, there were several Bledsoe interviews in Last year's camp and early in the season where he expressed his excitement and appreciation for Gilbride's offense and how "they were really on the same page". I think Drew enjoyed the downfield looks but hopefully he has come to realize that he has his limitations now. It sounds like he has really bought into the Pound it out theory whereas last year, he didn't.

There was a little story about them on NBC News yesterday. Apparently, several of the Iraqi's have been offered contracts to play in other countries (Turkey, Italy, Spain, etc...). That's the big irony. These Iraqi soccer stars want to get out of the country they love so much since there's no future for them there. I sure don't blame them. To a man, they said they all covet a soccer contract from another country and their fine performance in the Olympics has really helped them out.

Yes, it sucks for JP's development and maybe our "secret weapon" 3rd and long specialist for 2004, but really it's football, it's physical and it's time to move on w/ Bledsoe, Brown and yeah, Zolman! Hey, maybe Zolman is the next Jake Delhomme or Tim Rattay.
Here's just a small sampling of starters that are out for extended time on other teams (or the whole season). These will have more of an impact on the first half of the season than Losman ever would.
St. Louis - Travis Fisher (DB)
Philly - N.D. Kalu (DL)
Philly - Correll Buckhalter (RB)
Seattle - Chad Brown (LB)
Minn - Tyrone Carter (DB)
New Orleans- Kenny Smith (DL)
Ariz - Anquan Boldin (WR)
Ariz - Marcel Shipp (RB)
Detroit - Boss Bailey (LB)
Miami- David Boston (WR)
Miami- Ricky Bong Hit (RB)
Chicago- Jerry Azumah (DB)
Tenn - Peter Sirmon (LB)
Balt - Peter Boulware (LB)

The last time Bledsoe ran, he almost had his lung ripped out of his body (in New England). I'm not worried about Drew getting hurt running around since he won't do it again. I think he does need serious work against Indy and lead us to a couple TD's. If so, he can sit out the Detroit game for all I care.
-
Hey, forget Brown, Bledsoe had better light up the scoreboard against the Colts! He will probably play well into the 3rd Qtr and Pennington shredded Indy last week. If we continue to stall in the red zone, I'll be worried.
TB will have more work in the last game vs. Detroit.

That's hilarious. I did watch some and noticed whenever Walsh had the chance she would find Misty and Hug her like crazy. Even on the medal stand Walsh was stroking May's shoulder. Kind'a funny. I think Walsh has a thing for her. She can't keep her hands off,,,,,gotta love it.
-
Has anyone seen this guy in practice? is he mobile?, accurate? anybody?!??
I'm too lazy to check but how were his numbers in NFL Europe?
-
One thing is for certain. Women beach volleyball players can't keep their hands off each other.
-
I like Misty May's tush. why did you have to start this thread?!?

Yeah, he said he didn't like to slide because it's awkward for him and he'd hurt himself. He said he "dives at their ankles" instead. Then he said something about corner's and safeties maybe alluding to the fact he'd take them on.
Anyway, JP learned a serious lesson here. He can't be reckless with his body in the NFL even if it's just practice. He took some serious hits in that Denver game and a few more against Tennessee. That was in maybe 2 Qtrs of work at most. Not good.
-
Bledsoe is tough and should be commended for that. Sometimes it pays to be "Lurch" back there instead of "Speedy Gonzalez".....even in practice! Less chance for an injury while running (i.e. Vick, Losman).
We will know after 2 games whether or not Drew has regained the old touch. Me thinks No, but I'm rooting for him. Despite how some people try to rationalize it, the JP injury really hurts his development and the team. I was quite sure he would be brought in for some situational duty this year when the offense was in a Lull. Too bad now. I doubt they'd play TB at all unless Drew got injured.
Our 'D' is stinking up Ford Field!
