  1. After this season's weird events, I was ready for Sean to empty his desk after the Denver debacle. Then we have more weirdness in the Philly game with the kneel down, and McD's defense failing TWICE to close out the game at the end of regulation and OT. Basically it's run the table, or time to leave. For the rest of his career in Buffalo, Josh Allen needs an offensive head coach who he is in total sync with...not a revolving door of offensive coordinators.
  2. McDermott seemed different in the weekly media sessions this week. He seemed almost apologetic at times. I'm sure he knows he is letting the team down as much as anyone.
  3. The thing is, the Patriots would be morons to not roll out Mac Jones in our game just to grasp. I mean he was vintage Steve Grogan against the Bills.
  4. I won’t say the word but i hope the KC Green Bay game is really hard hitting. As well as Miami v Washington and the other AFC wild card hopefuls
  5. Yep. Nobody knows, the guy could be the next McVay or any number of recent young coaches who we didn’t see coming. If those offensive numbers continue to pop in his short tenure, other organizations will quickly take notice.
  6. Keep in mind, nobody but the very top wins ALL the games they are supposed to win. It just doesn’t happen. Miami has managed to do it so far but i refuse to believe they will win every game they are favored in. No way. Nor will the other wild card wannabes.
  7. The more i think about it, barring a miracle, like Staley…. McDermott has got to go. You have a few more years kicking the can with Herbert and Allen. Gotta get whatever offensive genius is out there to team up with Allen. Heck maybe it’s even Joe Brady if the offense continues to kill it… because he will get scooped up too if they average 30pts per game in the final seven.
  8. McDermott gets a lot of credit for bringing this organization back from the dead. He’s done a lot of great things. Defensive coordinators as head coach are becoming dinosaurs. We have top-2 or 3 best QB in the NFL. These other guys have their head coaches as their OC’s as well and they are always in sync. If you get a good OC in Buffalo he will be head coach somewhere else in a year or so.
  9. Maybe the Bills can start their prep by being able to send 11 men out on clutch FG defense at the end of a game. Maybe 'ol Sean McD can actually count to 12 himself. Just start with the little, easily controllable things. I mean how stupid is it that Diggs is out there flapping his wings like we won...way before it's over.. Or Ed Oliver, or whoever jawing with fans during the action. Jesus, buckle down guys.
  10. It might be obvious to general fans, but this is the first hint at this coaching change from inside their headquarters. For Bills fans, this could affect how LA plays Buffalo on Christmas, we shall see. It also will affect available coaching candidates if the Bills make a change themselves. The last couple weeks I heard Belichek possibly to Washington and just today heard the Carolina owner will be pursuing BB very hard.
  11. The Herd has a report that barring a miracle, the LA Chargers are moving off of Brandon Staley at the end of the season. The owner of the Chargers won't fire a coach in-season but he's reportedly gone.
  12. There's one thing separating the Bills with teams like KC and Philly, and it's kind of an intangible. The DNA makeup of the Buffalo Bills does not include the clutch gene. They can compile some of the best offensive numbers the league has ever seen, They have an incredible knockout punch against mediocre teams... and the defense can use smoke and mirrors to be top 5 in all sorts of categories. But the team is not clutch when it counts. and I don't know how that gets fixed.
  13. That overhead replay is so hard to watch.. ugh, Davis got the DB to stumble and he was wide open. The WIN was right there. The safer throw would seem to be the outside far corner where Gabe was running towards. That's one of those throws where either Gabe catches it or no one. So I can't really tell who was in the wrong here. There was another pass to Gabe (i can't remember when?) but it was 3rd down I believe and Allen hit the DB in the backside instead of throwing it over the top to Gabe who had a step.
  14. I can't do this.. because the Lows of losing are so much more powerful than the Highs of winning.
  15. The Bills will win the final 4 of 5... but some absurd, never seen before end of game scenario involving other AFC Wild Card hopefuls will happen on the last day, and the result will keep Buffalo out. So it will be "Billsy" by proxy from another team or other teams.
  16. That “refuse to lose” mentality that some teams have….well it ain’t with the Buffalo Bills i can tell you that. It’s a darn shame.
  17. Root for Kansas City big over GB this weekend. You don’t want KC coming in off a loss to play the Bills.
  18. The whole problem with Buffalo for me is not even a single horrible loss here and there. It's the macro. These other clubs are killing themselves to find a viable QB. And we have the best QB in the game here other than Patrick Mahomes. Josh is here...he's in the building, he's at practice. He's pretty much the only QB who never misses games and he's got every tool....and the Bills are wasting it. If the man was playing for Philly or San Fran or Pittsburgh or the Rams, Seattle whatever...he'd have a Super Bowl by now maybe even more. This city man.. ugh.
  19. I thought they did learn a bit,,, knew they had to end Philly with an OT touchdown. They were methodical, Josh ran when he needed to scramble and get 1st downs. Great drive. Then on 3rd and 6 or whatever it was they went for the kill shot to Gabe and were out of sync. Hindsight is always 20/20, but i bet an easier play was there to get the 6+ yards and not risk missing a big throw. Methodically pound it in the end zone for the W. Sure would’ve been sweet.
  20. Now that i’m older, The game usually washes off me in less than 24 hours. This one hurts a bit more because like 13 seconds, They blew the chance to win TWICE. Couldn’t get the stop at the end, or in OT. Disgraceful.
  21. Not that is matters, but Nick Wright on a National sports show today said it appears the Bills have a lame duck coach. You know the old saying, where there's smoke....
  22. Probably something happened right when KC boat raced the Bills to go to Super Bowl 1. Something mysterious happened to curse the city right around then.
  23. Us fans just need to realize that losing to: Jets, Jags, Pats, Bengals, Broncos, Eagles, (possibly KC, Dal, Mia?)...means they just are not too good., and they would've flamed out in the playoffs and pissed us off even more.
  24. The game is too fast for the officials to call it accurately. I assumed that's why they now have the "eye in the sky", to buzz down and get them to huddle up and correct calls. But stuff like interference, or non interference or holding can't be corrected.
  25. I listen to DC sports talk and the offensive players just do not want Eric Bienemy to be the head coach. If the new owner, Josh Harris, gets player input for the hire, EB won't be the coach. He's a throw back, and not a players coach. It's his way or the highway.
