  1. Anyone have any suggestions? And with the proximity to Toronto, are these usually on regular cable? Thanks.
  2. Just curious on which past Bills decided to stay in Buffalo as their permanent home once their playing careers finished. Thanks.
  3. Pennington would be a good fit....glad he's gone.
  4. ...interesting to think what could have been....but ...If my aunt had balls then she would be my uncle. I think a guy like Brad Johnson or someone with a quick release could do a real nice job for them.
  5. yah, I may have out smarted myself and taken Witten when I should have taken a receiver. I just figured that Witten is just like a receiver and alot more depth at receiver. And I didn't really like any of the receivers. And since you have to start one TE I thought take one of the best on a high scoring team.
  6. okay...the picks are in! I got #2 selection...in a 12 man league. A rookie's picks..... 1) Adrian Peterson 2) Jason Witten 3) Willie Parker 4) Phillip Rivers 5) Marvin Harrison 6) Kevin Smith (DET) 7) Lee Evans (YAY FOR ME!) 8) David Gerrard 9) Eli Manning 10) DeAngelo Williams 11) Ray Rice 12) Donte Stollworth 13) Jags Defence 14) Rian Lindell. Comments appreciated. The first pick overall was LT. And I really wanted to take Brady...but relied on the advice of this board....and waited to take a defence and kicker in the later rounds. BTW, the Bills defence was not drafted.
  7. Thanks for your advice guys. Definitely useful. So what round should I take Xavier Omon? Man, I'm such a Bills homer, half my roster will be Bills.....there goes a $125 donation! I don't know if I could pass up Peyton/Brady - it seems like finding a good QB would be harder than finding a RB in a later round?? No?
  8. What is PPR? I was thinking get a QB first...as alot more variance in QB's than RB's. How soon should a guy take a kicker and his defence? It's the yahoo pool. 14 guys. $125.
  9. Just got entered into a draft for this afternoon, so limited time to prepare. Will have to go in cold. Thanks for any suggestions.
  10. Can some help me with this question. In the offseason, I read somewhere that Turk was going to use less pulling and movement from our o-line and more straight ahead, down hill blocking. Our running style would also be more downhill. I like what I see from both our o-line and run game thus far. But I haven't heard much about a change in philosophy during camp. Anyone have any comments on this?
  11. Hasselbeck out rest of preseason? Posted: Thursday August 21, 2008 06:40AM ET There's a chance Matt Hasselbeck won't see any game action until the regular season starts. No one at Seahawks headquarters Wednesday confirmed that was the case, but it doesn't seem like the team wants to take any chances with the health of its star quarterback. Hasselbeck has taken part in just one full practice since hurting his back on a throw during the first quarter of the exhibition game against Minnesota Aug. 8. He did some drills last Thursday and went through all of Monday's session at the team's new headquarters, but he walked off the field about halfway through Tuesday's session with tightness in his back. 12. what's not to like? I'm a big fan of his. Last coach to take the Bills to the playoffs. And no Wade Phillips comment is complete without mentioning the fruit of his loins....his lovely daughter.
  13. I just have alot of optimism...and truth be told, I really like the guys on this team. They are easy and fun to cheer for. From Trent, Marshawn to Greer and Poz and McGee. Just seem like a good group who really want to win. And I got tickets to the Jets vs. Bills game in NYC. My 4th game ever and the 3rd time I get to see the Bills. I'm pumped.
  14. ....I just had to say that...as everyone else tells me to shut up when I talk about the bills....but little do they realize the stampede will be upon them soon!
  15. man...cut the guy some slack. It's the offseason....and I got a little chuckle out of it. Next...lets photoshop Fluties head on a real midget.
  16. Bingo...that's exactly what I see him do....seems to want to hit guys from the side rather than taking them on square. No Clements or Winfield type who blows people up. Or McGee even who has become a pretty good tackler.
  17. I went back and watched the game...is he suppose to be a good tackler? I saw him miss quite a few tackles this game. And Chris Ellis sure flashed alot, looks like we may have a player once he gets some of his rookies mistakes out the way.
  18. I like both backs. Wright had some impressive runs, but his propensity to put the ball on the carpet is disturbing.
  19. Coming down to Partttayyyy! How do I get hooked up with a tailgait?
  20. http://calsun.canoe.ca/News/National/2008/08/01/6329426.html Not sure if this is in the news in the US. Disgusting. Makes me sick to my stomach.
  21. 3. Offensive line lacks cohesiveness. One of the keys to improved play on the offensive line is cohesion, and the Seahawks could be slow to develop that because their projected starters have yet to work together. In offseason minicamps, left tackle Walter Jones, center Chris Spencer and right guard Rob Sims missed all or part of the workouts because of injuries. In training camp Spencer has been sidelined while recovering from shoulder surgery and backup Chris Gray has been sidelined since Saturday, when he tweaked his back. Solari is glass-half-full guy who views the injuries as opportunities for other guys to step up. But the reality is that the projected starters are going to need time together to build cohesion if they want to hit the season opener running. Let's hope they don't have it together for game 1. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writ...card/index.html
