  1. This was a big talking point last season. This season, his passes seem very accurate. Some nice touch for the screens. etc would be nice, but I have been pleased the way he has gunned in passes for his receivers. I wish we would do more short passing. I don't mind the long stuff, but it seemed at times yesterday JP had outlets to pass to and was looking deep. But his accuracy no longer appears to be a concern.
  2. I can't judge him, that's between him and his creator. But I will miss his posts on this board. Prayers to Kelly's and his wifes, family, kids and parents.
  3. Maybe next week we can get 3 turnovers and win because I guess 2 turnovers aren't enough for this team. And maybe the defence can score more than 7 points.
  4. What about....Schoebel, Lee Evans, Pat Williams, Clements, Moorman, McGee (as a kickoff returner) A selection of these 5 should be on the list (and yes, I know Pat, isn't a Bills player, but I still think you can build a dominant defense around him)
  5. I was at the gym and saw that, but couldn't hear because there was no volume. What else was said? Seemed like a good interview.
  6. well it seems like every year, 1 or 2 of the "easy" picks, lose on the opening weekend. So I try to stay away from them.
  7. I went with Atlanta to lose.... ...and I still lurk....but don't really have much to add, so I just take it all in. I'm cautiously optimistic this year. But I won't pop the champaign or hit the disaster button after the first game, it's a long season.
  8. ..there I voted....Fagtard. (If I vote again, can I insult you again?)
  9. Including the playoff comeback game vs. the Oilers, and 2004,2003 and 1993 Bills season's in review.
  10. I saw this link on another site. Before you open it, I have to warn you, some very graphic images. Open at your own risk. Irregardless of your stance on this issue, these images are heartbreaking. http://www.fromisraeltolebanon.info/
  11. Take your dog to the vet. My dog had a very small mole on her stomach and it was cancer and luckily it was removed in time.
  12. He's the only hope on the horizon. And it doesn't sound promising. The Canadian National Team may have a brighter future at this point. But we face/faced the same situation with De Guzman, Hargreaves, Daniel Fernandes and Stephen Vittoria to name a few, players who opted to play at the international level with other countries. http://www.myfootballnews.co.uk/news_jump.html?story=673649

  14. Well, I think importance is dictated on a game by game situation and match up on any given day. In some games, the LT may be more important, in others, the RT, depending on where the defence speed rusher is and whether you intend on passing, running, keeping the running back in to help, etc. I always thought the LT was of more importance because he was more isolated one vs one on the weakside and there is more help on the strong side. That is why your most athletic lineman plays LT. I think you could also make an arguement that your center is more important than either LT or RT. Because without a good center, it doesn't matter how good the LT is because the protection will fall apart ( as we know all too well!) Again, it just comes down to the fact that big athletic men that you want as LT are hard to find, where as LT are difficult to find hence the value goes up.
  15. I'm not saying I agree, or disagree, because I haven't given it enough thought. But I do appreciate you taking the time to post an original post that will actually make me think about this. My initial comment is supply and demand. While both maybe of equal value, it's just harder to find the big "athletic" LT than big "strong" RT. Therefore, their value goes up to due to simple supply and demand.
  16. a future? I think they'll win the world cup in the next 16 years. Some of the best players in the world are being produce from Africa, along with their great athleticism and large population that is hungry to escape poverty through any means possible. (ie - they're hungry to succeed!)
  17. I regularily read Mr. Katcher's blog and find it interesting. He's a huge sports nut. It was interesting to see him go from complete distain from the first game (actually forcing himself to watch the first US game) to his final comments about the World Cup. It was nice to see an honest opinion and his candid comments from an "outsider" are interesting for me to hear as someone who still plays soccer and has played since I was child. The perspective is interesting. http://www.paulkatcher.com/
  18. AD has 20,000+ posts, I suspect he has nothing better to do.
  19. Congratulations Italian fans...that was a performance to be proud of. And wonderful defensive football when it was called for and great football up front. I've become a big fan of Pirlo who I didn't watch alot prior to the world cup. But heard good things about him at AC Milan. Italian football is wonderful when the team comes to play. Just wish we'd see it more often. And I can whip out my Del Piero jersey I bought years back when in Napoli. Nice to see the old stars still have the finishing touch on the old legs. Tough to know who to cheer for in the Final....the performance of the Italians may just get me to cheer for them a bit!
  20. It's amusing that AD continues to read a soccer thread that is 42 posts long. hahaha...! The fact that someone would waste their time reading and posting in a thread for a sport they say they hate speaks volumes.
  21. The arguement is that I said the Italians are the least deserving - Portugal - beat Dutch, England (two favourites) France - Brazil, Spain (two favouriteS) Germany - Argentina, Sweden (One favourite, another strong team) Italy - Australia, Ukrainie. (two teams to be in the world cup for the first time ever) I think any unbiased fan would say that looking at the opposition that every team has played, Italy was pretty much gifted a spot in the semi-finals. Now if Italy is lucky enough to beat Germany, I may respect a little more, but until then, they've really played no real contender like the the other 3 teams. But your an Italian fan and keep drinking the kool-aid and telling yourself that your team is great. I'll be cheering for them tomorrow, but after watching them in the past and in this tournament, I don't really think they can beat a top caliber team in a major competition. Lets hope I'm proven wrong tomorrow!!
  22. If your bringing up the hand of god...that was also set off by the most brilliant display of football in world cup history by Deigo Maradonna. What has Italy shown? Where's South Korea when you need them. Italy does what every team that does not have the talent the other team does. They play negative football and wait to counter. I hope the script goes like this - they beat the Germans and then get crushed in the finals! Unlikely though.
  23. wow...heavy crack...it took till the 90th minute for Italy to score on a questionable penalty and your saying I'm on heavy crack? Your very ignorant - Australia was carrying the play, and without that penalty, it looked like they were going to score. As far as being an Idiot - I've probably forgotten more about soccer than you've ever known.
