  1. Feel free to ask your week 7 Q's here as well.

Pick 2, including one TE .5 PPR

    Martellus Bennett @PIT

Travis Kelce at home against NO

Frank Gore @ TEN - Gore has been playing well (consistently 10-15 points) but TEN looks stout against the run

Chris Ivory - at home against the 31st ranked OAK run defense. I just picked him up. He i getting most of the RB snaps for JAC since he returned week 3.

  2. Someone just offered me Brady for Cam. At this stage I'm wondering who has a longer career in front of them!

That is close. I'd think CAM would be slightly preferable.

Brady plays in Denver week 15. Is that when your playoffs start? I would much rather have CAM going against Washington that week to finish in the money, as happens in my league.

They are close enough, maybe ask for more than just Brady in a counter-offer, if you think you need help getting to the playoffs.

  3. I cancelled the trade after not hearing back for 24 hours. I really have no idea what is happening with OBJ, and there are worse problems than having too many startable players on my team. I figure the other guy saw my offer even though he didn't respond. He can get back to me if he wants like.

  4. Can you play a TE as your flex?

    Yes, but I have:

RB - David Johnson, LeSean McCoy, Frank Gore

WR - Kelvin Benjamin, Brandon Marshall, Marvin Jones

    TE - Kelce, Bennett

Since I can't play them all, I think the right thing is to try to upgrade one. With Jones slowing a bit too, this seems like a good move.

I am a bit torn on the TE to give up though, and decided on Bennett. I hate routing for any Pats players, and my guess is he will be less consistent in the Pats game-plan, versus Kelce, though Kelce is past his bye, so I could just use a single roster spot there.

I'm wondering the same thing about OBJ. In keeping with my FF tradition, my first pick in the draft (I picked OBJ #3 overall) has been pretty disappointing, the weakest link to my starting lineup most weeks, so far. After all of his antics the last few weeks, I really thought this past Sunday, he would finally "go off". While he had an okay game, I still want more from him. Having seen 3 Giants games this year, I am really hating their offense. I am not sure if Eli has hit the wall, or if it is by design, but they are just trying to dink and dunk, west-coast style, and OBJ is just not doing much. The good news is, he is still getting a lot of chances, but Eli is just not accurate.

As an OBJ owner, I have pondered offering him up for trade (I have Kelvin Benjamin and Mike Evans, in addition), but I am just not sure what a fair trade value is. For you, since you already have Kelce (probably not as high a week to week ceiling as Bennett, but consistant), you are essentially trading Mavin Jones for OBJ. Given that you have Benjamin and Marshall, I think you could spare Jones for OBJ's potential to go off...as a FLEX or a bye week fill in, OBJ is okay...with the potential to be much more.

Thanks for the feedback. My fear is likely the same as yours: OBJ is just going to muddle through the year with one or two big games, where maybe I don't even have him starting due to his dud weeks.

  5. Okay, new trade offer. I made this offer and am now unsure if I am making a mistake. I can still cancel the offer, though that is bad form:

    I Get

    Odell Beckham

    He Gets

    Marvin Jones

    Martellus Bennett

Note: I also have Kelce, who just finished his bye week. At WR I also have Kelvin Benjamin and Brandon Marshall. My opponent has Kyle Rudolph (on bye) only at TE.

What do you think, is ODB coming back to his old ways this year? Should I just stick with the guys actually producing (though MJ is falling off from his high)?

  6. I agree with "What a Tuel." I too am starting Bennett and expect a big week for him. My best guess is Gronk gets 4-5 catches for 2 TDs and Bennett gets 8 catches for 80-90 yards and a TD.

I would probably play Winston, but really either could bomb this week. I could see the Panthers really bouncing back from last week's drubbing by the Falcons at home. (Is Flacco available?)

  7.

I grabbed Dixon in a few leagues. I am desperate since Doug Martin is still out for at least 2 more weeks and Jamaal Charles is on Bye (he better come back next week full on).

I really need Dixon to do so well against a poor Redskins defense that they hand him the job. Everyone else went for West.

It definitely looks like West in the short run, Dixon in the long run. It just isn't clear how long that transition will take, but likely more than a game and less than a season.

  8. David Johnson

    Frank Gore

    Kelvin Benjamin

    LeSean McCoy

    Marvin Jones

You have an excellent team. All of those players perform consistently each week except Marshall. I'd play those 5 over him until he proves he will score 10+ each week.

Then again, if Pittsburgh runs up the score, you may get a lot of garbage time. Who knows.

Joe Flacco. Statistically speaking, Matt Ryan has to come down from his high, and it is only logical for it to be against a dominating denver d.

I wouldn't bother blocking him but if you really want to then drop Smallwood. Mathews is supposed to play Sunday.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I am torn between sitting Gore and Marshall (or do I sit Benjamin if Newton doesn't play. . . ?). Gore has been doing well, but I am tempted by all of Marshall's targets (8-12 each game!) and the .5 PPR. Pittsburgh at home is going to be tough, but I don't know if that means they go pass-heavy for 3 quarters, and with Decker out, does that mean 15+ targets for Marshall?

Right now I have Flacco as my starter, but I keep wondering if I am crazy. Last week I sat Ryan (vs CAR) for Flacco and left an additional 15 points on my bench.

I have Denver as my defense and my opponent has Julio Jones, so that is actually pulling my wishes toward a Denver win at home, even though that shouldn't have anything to do with my decision....

  9. Pick 5 (2RB, 2 WR, Flex) .5 PPR

    D. Johnson (@SF)

    L. McCoy (@LA)

    F. Gore (vs CHI)

    M. Jones (vs PHI)

    K. Benjamin (vs TB)

    B. Marshall (@PIT)

    QB (Pick 1)

    Matt Ryan (@DEN)

    J. Flacco (vs WAS)

    TE / Roster Question

I have M. Bennett playing for T. Kelce (bye)

On my bench I have W. Smallwood (RB PHI) and T. Williams (WR SD); K Dixon (RB BAL) on IR

Someone just dropped Zach Miller (TE CHI)

My opponent at TE has J. Graham and J. Thomas, both on bye this week

Q: Should I pick up Zach Miller to block him? If so, drop who?

  10. Start Palmer over Winston. Winston in Denver is not the right time to give him a try.

Tough choice on your flex, a great problem to have with such good players. I would definitely sit Austin and Michael, and I would definitely start Beckham, Ingram and Gordon.

    The others

Mike Evans - He is having a big year, and the Bucs might be behind and throwing most of the games. Can he dominate a Broncos secondary holding opposing WRs to 114 yards per game, 3rd best in the NFL? With 14 targets last week, that has to temp you in a PPR league.

Kelvin Benjamin - I am starting him and think he will be targeted a lot, but last week's performance (for whatever reason) has to be worrying.

9/26" “Yeah, we’ve got to find a way to get him the ball more. That starts with me,” offensive coordinator Mike Shula said. “But we’ve got to make sure we’re doing it in a way that we’re not just trying to force him the ball.” Whatever that means. . . .

Carlos Hyde - He is having a solid year, but doesn't get too many passes. Hyde has a better match up than Evans or Benjamin this week, against the Dallas 13th-worst rush defense (YpG).

On average, most experts rank them Hyde over Benjamin over Evans this week.

If it were me, I think I would sit Benjamin until it is clear he and Newton are back on the same page.

  11. Bills 33

    Pats 18

    ----------------

Okay, to show I can be a real cynical Bills fan, my intuition points to something more like this:

    • Bills go up by 14 on defensive TD at the start of the 2nd quarter
    • Bills up by 7 at the half
    • game still tied with 5 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter
    • Bills lose by 17 after a TOP of only 3.5 minutes in the 4th quarter.

Have a great day everyone, and enjoy the game this weekend! :D

  12. We know what Kyle has done in the past. The first two games this year, he was a bit sluggish. I wondered if age and injury was finally getting to him.

It's good to see the old Kyle back. He was outstanding. Long may it continue.

It seems like the team is finally coming out of "preseason" after somewhat skipping the real preseason. Hopefully Dareus doesn't take until week 6 to start moving full speed all game...
