  1. I don't know. I have always though McKelvin has all of the physical skill needed, but poor instincts. I think safety is a position where good instincts are essential.

I would love to have him as a backup.

In the article Dunn says "Every time someone leaves this locker room, that player seems to have success"

I hear people say this a lot, it just isn't true. Besides Marshawn Lynch, who has left here in the last 10 years and had success?

    Levitre and Byrd both suck.

Stevie has done nothing since leaving.

Lil' Donte has bounced around and done nothing.

    Kiko sucks

Fitz has bounced around and is having his best season this year.

But people make it sound like every guy who leaves Buffalo turns into a star.

Whitner was successful after leaving. I really didn't like the guy, but he played better after he left.

  2. Seems to be just taking up blockers and not very happy about the way he is being used. I don't get it.

That is my take too. Until this week, it looked like the ends were told to contain the pocket and/or pay attention to something beyond just collapsing the pocket. They were not creating the same chaos they did last year when it was clear the mission was to go kill the QB.

Hughes clearly had the green light to attack last night and looked like his old self.

That unit is really missing Kyle Williams. The depth guys are really pretty good, but not the consistent handful Kyle is when used more than their usual limited rotation.

  3. I picked up Ajayi. Hillman is doing very well, but Ajayi could start cutting into that or do very well if Ronnie gets hurt. In your roster position, whe is worth a developmental slot.

Certainly pick up Antonio Andrew (Titans) if still available.

  4. Business Insider: Yahoo's NFL-streaming debacle is a reminder that the games are boring

Just so you know, the game is going to be boring.

I don't know what annoys me more, this:

Neither team is likely to make the playoffs, and the Bills' starting quarterback isn't playing.

or the pictures of Tom Brady.

It is late. . . . I swear when I first saw the picture it looked like TB was wielding a Lombardy trophy covered in blood. :death:

  5. I am on the fence between starting Delanie Walker (with Mariota out) or Clay. I think both are going to have a better game than Barnidge, who my opponent is starting, even though he is clearly the hotter player right now. I just don't buy his performance is sustainable (yet). He has had enough success now, he is going to be planned for by the Rams. I think he ends up something like 9 targets, 6 catches, 55 yards.

  6. Regarding Deonte Thompson:

There is a rule in place that the team (agreeing to a settlement) can’t resign that player until a minimum of six weeks passes following the amount of weeks of the initial settlement.

I wonder the length of the initial injury settlement. Does anyone remember any details of the injury?

  7. Unfortunately, I think Goodwin may well have played his last regular season snap for the Bills. I am a huge fan of his and have held out hope he could string a bunch of games together for us. He certainly has the talent.

I think it is 50/50 whether he gets released prior to training camp next year.

  8. I somehow missed this until now. Get well soon, Bill! I am ecstatic to here the positive updates from your daughter. It is clear you are surrounded by love. May that buoy you back to full heath, or as near as possible.

    -------------------------

But I'll get back on my feet again someday,
The good Lord willin', if He says I may.
I know that the life i'm livin's no good,
I'll get a new start, live the life I should.
I'll get up and fly away, I'll get up and fly away, fly away.

  9. I dropped Tate for Dan Herron last week (I have Shady and Karlos Williams).

That said, I am thinking about reversing the swap this week since it looks like Shady os going to play and Tate got 18 targets last week (wow)!

I think Martavis is going to be fantastic the rest of the year. I jut offered to trade Russel Wilson for him to a team that has only Stafford at QB.

  10. Goodwin clearly popped up with the ball.

The rule says they can't be over the line:

ARTICLE 3. FREE KICK FORMATION. When the ball is kicked on a free kick down: (a) After the ball has been made ready for play, all kicking team (Team A) players other than the kicker must be lined up no more than five yards behind their restraining line; and (b) All kicking team players must be inbounds and behind the ball when it is kicked, except: (1) the holder of a placekick (3-18-1-Item 2) may be beyond the line, and (2) the kicker may be beyond the line, provided that his kicking foot is not beyond the line. © At least four players of the kicking team must be on each side of the ball. At least three players must be lined up outside each inbounds line, one of whom must be outside the yard-line number.
