  1. For whatever reason, I don't believe EJ would be fazed by the attitude of another player. But point taken.
  2. Tuel did a fine job moving the ball... backwards.
  3. If I had to repair my reputation (unfairly or not), I could think of worse teams to come to than one with two excellent RBs, one of whom can block like a mofo, emerging WRs and a rapidly improving defense.
  4. I am sure he is going to speak positively about just about anyone at this point ($). But I'd imagine Pryor has a hold on that job. He hasn't done anything to really lose it at this point.
  5. Did you actually hear It seems just as possible to me that since you're linking to print and not audio that you have no idea if he is "posturing" or just explaining it factually. Is it not the coach's call? Has the coach not agreed that he has been injured? Bills fans love a good conspiracy theory because it can explain away when things actually just suck.
  6. Sure. Being ready with all the calls on field in a new defense without having been in training camp or OTAs is easy. If you want to argue about whose fault that is, fine. But it's Marrone's decision to do what he is comfortable with. Was it the right one? The result indicates that this is open to debate.
  7. I came away from the game thinking this team needs a better punter, it is thin at QB, and boy does it have some amazing pieces on defense. I'm surprised I am saying this, but a few upgrades in the secondary (most of which are already on the roster and just not playing yet) might make them dominant. Have to tighten up against the run though. The offensive playcalling still blows and needs to feature more screens to combat pressure.
  8. Thought the same thing. I thought towels were flying.
  9. I see this as an opportunity for both parties. People want to rag on Freeman but he is looking for a fresh start and a chance to showcase his skills. If he came here (presuming EJ is hurt) he'd get that and he'd get no pressure for commitment from the Bills. Looks like what the Kolb situation should have been, with a more talented player whose skills are more in line with EJ's.
  10. Tuel certainly wasn't ready and he may just not be talented enough to ever be. The ST momentum swings were killer, and I particularly loathed seeing McGahee succeed against us. There was some stellar play, ESP from the defense, but not 4 quarters of it. Our coaches have as much to learn as our players. I do feel that Searcy was victimized by a BS call in the end zone. He was being grabbed the whole time then got called for grabbing back on a ball thrown out of the back of the end zone. That gave Cleveland another chance and they took advantage.
  11. I have to think they believed he wasn't play book ready, even if physically ready. If he doesn't know the calls it's not strictly a plug and play situation.
  12. Oh, brother. Should we pull up Russell Wilson's stats first four games in Seattle?
  13. They have all the old SNLs from the 70s and 80s which is pretty rad, too.
  14. Volek made his own bed when he turned down starting offers to remain a backup.
  15. All the speed in the world can't save you if you panic and drop the ball or misread its arrival. I am sure there is a good reason that Leonhard is trusted out there while others are not. Would be nice if Goodwin came back soon, though. It would be nice to have another dimension to the scoring potential.
  16. What PaatMaan said. Orange is the New Black is pretty good, too. I think the Knuckleball movie is up there, now, too. While the online viewing is more restricted than the DVD selection, it's still worth having.
  17. Good thing he didn't go with Donte "Can Cover Tight Ends" or he could be sued for false advertising.
  18. They get bad weather in Denver, no? Nope. No one can sign him to a long-term deal before the end of the season.
  19. No doubt. He looks a particular brand of unstoppable this year, but sure. Do you see anyone who looks close to the Broncos right now? The X-factor will be injury.
  20. Even a good, not great LT is worth a 1st round pick, and more than a hobbled starting safety. Methinks the Jags got fleeced, which isn't surprising because they are a dumpster-fire of an organization. And I'm not talking about a late-round pick. I think it would take a second-rounder to pry away a guy that is better than Colin Brown from a team, unless Jax is having a fire sale and has an available guard. This, because they have proven they are stupid.
