This was an original thought... when it was posted on pft. Get some original thoughts and don't just rip off other people

Well, after that press conference it seems pretty apparent he is trying to make the best out of what is for him a bad situation with getting cut. The fact that he entered the building at OBD and signed pretty much immediately means this was a business decision. Either way, it's gonna be some ride

Continent > Country. I love how they framed it like we're better than the Boys. Gotta love it.
FWIW- Whitner is losing his mind over this on facebook

Drew Rosenhaus on ESPNNews, "The Bills are an international organization, they want to make a statement, they are North America's team."
-
-
It happened already
"I'm leaving America's team (for) North America's team," Owens said at a news conference.

didnt it already happen? There is a pic on bb.com with him in a Bills hat

I say this is a big picture move, he acts like a normal person while in a blue collar city that will still have him, creating at least the illusion he is a team player and scores a big pay day somewhere else next year.
-
Owen has traditionally been a locker room cancer. My opinion? He knows his mouthy attitude cost him money. He is in Buffalo to act humbly and prove himself to middle america and blue collar workers and he will score a big payday next year. I am very hopeful
-
Well I was wrong. I admit it, wow! Not sure how this will play out, but it will be fun at least!

They aren't actually offering them contracts, they just want it to look like they're trying so they can sell the franchise. Seriously, we have no GM. This team will not be in Buffalo for long and I hate RW for that
-
They will invite him here. He will laugh at us and sign somewhere else. We suck
-
I echo the sentiment. Signing June is a logical move, which we will whiff on. Why is it that everytime I think of Ralph Wilson I imagine him as Steinbrenner from Seinfeld, crazy and irrational.
-
TO to the Patriots, week 4 he doesn't get his love from Brady, who completes a 500 yd day with 3 TDs to Moss while TO has a measly 4 catches for 30 yards. TO calls a press conference to complain while jazzercizing sans shirt. The next day he marries Bridget Moynihan and adopts Brady's 1st born to gain leverage on the playcalling. The Patriots fall apart all because of 1 signing. It's the natural progression. I'm surprised no one else thought of this.

Losers always suck. We could sign 15 pro bowlers and I would still temper my optimism. Buffalo officially has a losing culture. Typically that changes through a change in personnel or coaching, we have chosen to change neither. What do you think the result will me. My gripe is with the FO. We don't even have a GM. This team is a laughingstock and will remain one until RW bites it or recovers his faculties.

we're not good. The players who left are not good. It's a wash

2nd thread on this, fyi

ya seems like it would be sarcastic.. but i really think ralph is doing this
"WHERE" all sick of bandwagon whiners like you. Get off the "bored"
-
I think it's safe to say he would be bad for this team and we would never shell out the money to get him anyway.

I echo Huuge's assessment, terrible analysis

If my job was watch and break down players on college teams ALL of the time, I mean 40 hours a week for instance having access to any game film I would ever want, but I know I would spend more gladly because of how much I just love the game, I would know every detail about every individual from a football standpoint that set foot on the field. I'd probably be a pretty darn good analyst and overall talent evalutor as well. These guys live the good life. One thing I could admit though, I would still be a Bills and Fightin Irish homer
Please remind me never to disagree with you

Does anyone really see us getting Haynesworth though, really? Buffalo suffers from not being a "sexy" major city like NYC, Miami or Dallas. The team doesn't look like a contender and it doesn't appear the FO is changing that any time soon. Gonzalez reputedly vetoed a trade to Buffalo for those reasons. Do we really think we can make a major signing? I doubt RW will offer the kind of cash it would take to get Haynesworth.

I'm sure I'll get slammed for posting this, but I cannot possibly be the only one who feels a bit hopeless entering the offseason. The FO has shown no signs of good decision-making in the past couple years apart from drafting Pos. While we were 7-9 a couple seasons ago, at least we appeared to be resilient. In its current incarnation I can't see this team being better than 8-8. Unfortunately, I can't say I hold on to much hope that we will bring in the right people to change that this offseason. This is the first time in a long time that I find myself struggling to see a silver lining with the Bills. I still support the team 100%, but I gotta admit it's frustrating. Anyone else with me here? Feel free to agree or call me a piece of Stevestojan for venting.
