Had a pretty good Combine. Here’s the summary:

    40 yard dash: 4.47

    10 yard split: 1.51

    Vert Jump: 40”

    Broad Jump: 10’ 11”

    3 Cone Drill: 6.99s

    20 Yard Shuttle: 4.01s

    Bench Press: 14 reps

I have a late 3rd grade on him

I'd use a 3rd round pick on him.

Nate Wiggins felt a pop in his groin after running 4.29 and is being taken back for evaluation. Already been told he is done for the day.

Any word on Mike Sainristil during the combine. I'd love to see the Bills draft him.

Here is a CBS Mock with a lot of trades that has the Bills taking Troy Franklin at 28. Do we like this one better? It has just as much value as the one the OP linked to.

Here is one from USA Today that has the Bills taking Coleman: https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2024/02/28/nfl-mock-draft-2024-qb-projections/72778490007/

Bucky Brooks has us taking Coleman too: https://www.nfl.com/news/bucky-brooks-2024-nfl-mock-draft-2-0-washington-takes-jayden-daniels-over-drake-maye-qb-to-denver

My point is that none of these mocks are worth getting worked up over.

When your 1st pick in the draft is towards the bottom, it usually isn't.

  4. Re-sign Da'Quan Jones.

    Re-sign Leonard Floyd, if possible.

Sign Darnell Savage or Jeremy Chinn at Safety.

    Wide Receiver scenarios:

Sign Calvin Ridley. If that's not possible, go after Darnell Mooney or Hollywood Brown.

Sign a veteran journeyman. A receiver who may not be spectacular but is a proven player.

DJ Chark, Van Jefferson, or Donovon Peoples-Jones would be good additions, and won't break the bank.

I know that we don't know what we have with Justin Shorter and we did sign Andy Isabella to a futures contract, but the way I see it we should bring in a lot of receivers to have for training camp competition.

I have to think this is a stall tactic until they can sign him and Chase to a long term deal.  However, paying Joe 50+ and Higgens/Chase 30+ per is insane to me.

Yes, I'm assuming those will be the numbers on the receivers, but I can't imagine I'll be too far off

You're probably right. Although it won't matter much if the Bengals can't get better offensive linemen to protect Burrow.

Otherwise, he will go the way of David Carr.

I saw this coming when they first started talking about having a playoff period.

There is never going to a number that will satisfy everybody.

Might as well expand it 64 teams.

College football has lost a vast majority of it's uniqueness that made the sport what is was.

Is there work to be done?  Of course, but for us FA should really be about value-friendly depth/rotational pieces.

Big game hunting and big game re-signing for that matter, aren’t needed, provided Beane hits on this draft - which was always going to be the primary focus of this off-season.

And that would be fine. The Bills don't have to rely on signing big name players in free agency to be a better team.

It would be great if they could do that, but it's not imperative. All they have to do is find quality players that are also reliable and will help them get to the Super Bowl.

Only by restructuring some contracts and kicking the can further down the road, making it harder for us to sustain excellence.

I fear that Beane's personnel and cap skills (or lack thereof) will result in us fielding a playoff-caliber team every year, but never a championship one.

They can make contract extensions, and get pay cuts from other players as well.

Restructuring contracts is not their only option.

    RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire: $1.6M

    RB J.K. Dobbins: $2M

RB Ezekiel Elliott: $2.7M (I listed Zeke just because McBeane loves to sign veteran RB's)

    RB D'Onta Foreman: $3M

    RB A.J. Dillon: $3.5M

    RB Antonio Gibson: $3.6M

At Wide Receiver, I think that we can sign two players. Calvin Ridley would be a dream come true, but he will be tough to sign, so Darnell Mooney could be more realistic. Hollywood Brown would be good too.
After that add another player like DJ Chark, Donovon Peoples-Jones, or Van Jefferson.

This would help our WR group immensely.

At Safety, I'd love to get Darnell Savage, but would be fine with Jeremy Chin.

As for Running Back, just re-sign Ty Johnson.

His teammate Cornelius Johnson, WR has caught my eye as a possible 5th or later round pick.

Johnson is not spectacular, but he gets the job done. Good height and hands.

I just wonder if we already have him on the roster with Shorter.

Go back to the early 2000s for 'Boomtown'.  Two seasons, first season was done in the 'Rashomon' style, where the viewer repeatedly views a crime through the eyes of different parties to the situation.  Deemed too complicated to follow by NBC, dumbed down to a second season that only ran 6 episodes of a run of the mill police procedural.  Graham Yost was the creator / producer.  Excellent cast.

I really liked this show. So many familiar faces in it, and I loved how they told each story.

A shame that it was cancelled.
