From what I got to see of the game today, I thought Duke did a good job. No flying into the backfield from bull rushes like Melvin has been dealing with. Didn't kow about Butler. From what I saw, there wasn't much difference in play from Butler to Whittle. Did we resign Murphy? I knew we released him but that's as far as I know. I agree, Trent has really impressed me this year.

The Bills as a whole lost

Here in Illinois we have: Obama/Biden (D) McKinney/Clemente(G) McCain/Palin ® Barr/Root (L) Polachek (N) Baldwin/Castle (ACP) Nadar/Gonzalez (I) Two groups that I did not know about before (a little bit lazy/cynical the it wouldn't really matter) were the American Constitution Party (ACP) and the New Party (N). Since I saw these two groups, I thought I would check them out: 1. The ACP appears to be nothing more than a front for right-wing religious nuts who think that the constitution is a "Christian" constitution. 2. There is really nothing I can easily find out about the New Party here in Illinois or about Polachek in particular.

McCain talked about dropping the corporate tax rate from 35%. He cites Ireland as a country with a 11% tax rate and explained that the lower tax rate makes it for more appealing for corporations to go overseas. Barack countered that through the current loopholes that American coporations are actually paying a lower tax rate . Barack then says he wants to close those loopholes. Say you close these loopholes, then the American coprate tax rate will actually be 35% and you have made no mention of then dropping the tax rate. Why would corporations want to stick around and pay that rate when they can pay a lower rate elsewhere? Brilliant.

Taking a break for the usual Obama/McCain drivel, looks like the Texas Supreme Court didn't like Barr's case even though he was correct. Even better they failed to supply a reason for not following the law that they hold everyone else to. linky
