  1. I first received an e-mail from someone pertending to be a solider in Iraq who has found a huge sum of Saddam's cash. This guy tells me he wants to send the money back to the states but needs my help. It is the basic Alergria e-mail scam. Anyway, I play am playing along, pretending to be an old vet who wants to help a soldier. It took two weeks or banter back and forth, but this "shipping company" he had me contact (through e-mail) has asked today for $8,500 to ship the box containing the money. They asked me to wire the money via Western Union. It has been entertaining, but I really want to get this guy busted for truying to rip people off. I could see a WWII vet send 8Gs thinking he was helping a young, underpaid whipper-snapper get some well-deserved dough. Any ideas on how to get this guy busted?
  2. Every morning while I'm eating my cereal I flip back and forth between ESPN and CNN. EVERY SINGLE TIME I turned it to ESPN they were playing a different part of Bonds' press conference. It was like nothing else happend yesterday in sports.
  3. Don't take it personally. They aren't bitching because you didn't have breaking news per se, but because they cannot believe anyone actually talked to TH's agent. Most people have no idea how accesible these guys are.
  4. They will catch this turd, and he will pay.
  5. I don't think it is even funny to joke about joking about it.
  6. Thanks, LA. I apprecaite the insight.
  7. The other child's parents must be told ASAP. But, tragically, I'm willing to bet the other kid's parents don't even care. Really, really makes me question if I want to have children at all. I'm getting married later this year, and we're still trying to figure out for ourselves if this world is suitable for children anymore. I know this is a very bad way to look at things, but I cannot help it. It must be so terrible to know there is so much you cannot protect your child from.
  8. Now we're talking about some rock 'n roll. Maybe he'll get lucky and someone will show him the Genesee River.
  9. Perfect plan. Even if you're not in town on the weekend, Dinosaur has great eats. I would add that Milestones in the city has live music (rock) every night. Milestones (170 East Avenue, 585-325-6490) Oh, and spend lots of money. The city could really use it. Astrobot, sorry, I didn't see your post until after I made mine.
  10. I plan on heading out for the Chargers game. It should be a good one, and I love SoCal. I hope it is late in the season.
  11. I didn't know he was a place kicker, too.
  12. So you ever hear of a total free agent?
  13. I'm asking buftek what a "total free agent" is. I am aware of the Smith situation. He said Smith was able to sign with a team before March 2 because he was a "total free agent," but that Pollard could not sign with the Bills until March 2 because he isn't a totalf free agent.
  14. A total free agent? Meaning he was not on a team at the end of the season? That is interesting.
  15. I think Dicesare is being blacklisted. We all know JP has been around. He was on ESPN Radio last week. Dicesare hasn't been given access to JP. I can say with some confidence that PR gurus don't blacklist unless there is a good reason.
  16. Let me pose this question here. If Drew is indeed cut today, could Dallas sign him tomorrow? In other words, could the Bills sign Pollard tomorrow if they were so inclined, or do they have to wait until free agency officially starts March 2?
  17. Ukrops won't see beer and it is closed every Sunday. It probaly use to be the closest thing we have to Wegmans though. But now we, in Fredericksburg, Va., have a Super WalMart. It sure isn't Wegmans, but it has the most selection. I'll be making the trek up to Fairfax this weekend.
  18. If you wait until then Drew would be owed a bonus. He has to go within the next week,. But the obvious question is why wait? He could have been cut this morning.
  19. I want Shelton, but I also think I want to keep Tre around.
  20. Yes, but a player cut today can sign today, right? See: Akili Smith.
  21. I know this post is about poking fun at some stupid copy bubba, but I was wondering how the stinkin' fish could afford either of those two RBs. I would htink they'd need to trim some players to do so.
  22. Real question: Pollard and anyone else who was cut today may be signed at any time for thie point forward, correct? So there should be lots of action at OBD.
  23. Sure was. I figured if he made it this long he was clear. Maybe they got into it again.
  24. I'm going to wear two watches tomorrow in his honor.
