I’ll take two 3rds for Gray.
Two 2nds, Two 3rds for Gray and 2 compensatory 5ths. Lots of ammo for Beane to move up (or down) to get the depth he needs and maybe a future starter or 3.
The 3rds are split in two years, so it’d be 2025 and 2026.

Is that Codrington's position? I love that dude as a returner, cant believe the Jets let us have him, and I hope we keep him around. Id enjoy some stability back there again!!!
Yeah they gave Codrington snaps at CB in games where they pulled the starters. The Jets game (where Garrett Wilson caught a TD on him) and one other besides the Patriots game (want to say Jacksonville?). He’s not good enough to play corner, should’ve kept him solely on returns.

Don’t think he was in the plans to play safety. Already has Rapp and Bishop in front of him. Not sure about the linebacker transition either, he’s extremely light for a OLB.

I remember the video where Gray and another were scouting Elam, in a room watching tape of him. “Im with you, ______. I think this guy can help us.” Hope we get those 3rds!

I like it for the Bills (and I’m sure Chiefs fans like it as well), because I don’t think the Bengals will find a better DC than Anarumo. When Spags was struggling in KC and the fans were calling for his head, I had hoped he’d be fired too, but that wasn’t the case and now he’s got that defense humming.

On Codrington, they never should’ve had their only reliable KR playing CB snaps. Didn’t like it when he was in against the Jets either.
Denver was a blocked FG away from beating the Chiefs in Arrowhead. I fully expect them to arrive on a mission.

Eagles rushing attack behind that OL, coupled with how well they’re playing defense. I do think they are a lot like the Ravens of the NFC, but Hurts as a passer is not on the level of Lamar. That said, if the Bills get through the Broncos, Ravens, and Chiefs, I think they should be favored in the SB to beat whoever’s left.

Coleman’s comp is Tee Higgins. I don’t remember hearing much about Higgins as a rookie, so you’ve gotta give a player like that - a big guy who doesn’t have dominating athleticism - time to ingratiate himself into the league.
-
The Bills selected Baylon Spector in the 7th round of that 2022 draft. After that pick, the Chiefs selected Pacheco, Watson, and Nazeeh Johnson. That’s some damn good scouting mixed with luck.

I was interested in this same thing a couple years ago. The Bills had by far the best record and then went on to lose in the playoffs.
And the Chiefs had a losing record against playoff teams last year and went on to beat the Dolphins, Bills, Ravens, and 49ers. Any given Sunday.

Nick Wrong must be livid Mahomes and McDuffie didn’t make it.
i thought James Cook would be a shoe-in, at least as an alternate. That’s a pretty major snub.

SCREAM, only because I didn’t expect the story to immediately kill off what was probably one of the top names in the cast.
POLTERGEIST is also memorable with its national anthem playing followed by TV static. The days television actually shut off.

If Allen has another game against the Jets like he had against the Patriots, Jackson will most likely become the MVP front runner with a game to go. If we have to go through the Ravens to get to KC, so be it. I’m tired of hearing Broussard say BAL is so much better than BUF because of the one game they played this year - like it’s not possible it was one team’s night while the other was off.

Edmunds just had the RB in the hole for a TFL and whiffed.
-
Whoever is running the Bears pro personnel dept should be fired for the Edmunds decision alone. No way could he have watched Bills games and thought Edmunds was worth $17M/yr. He wasn’t worth a dime more than Milano in his prime.

Henry’s rushing numbers in their 5 losses:
13 - 46 - 1
18 - 84 - 1
11 - 73 - 1
13 - 65 - 1
19 - 82 - 0
Stopping him is the key but only KC held him to under 4 yards per carry.

How did the Ravens lose 5 games?!
Hopefully the Bills have quality control coaches already studying this and coming up with answers as it relates to our schemes.
-
Does seem he blitzes far less this year than last. You also have to remember his numbers last year were historically good. First LB to put up those numbers since [Seth Joyner? name escapes me] 3 decades ago.

Its scheme and coaching.
Baltimore’s Defense doesn’t have a game wrecker. But they’ve been elite since middle of the season.
Definitely agree it’s more scheme than players. I’ve seen members of the DL get quick pressure (not consistently, true), only for the DBs to give up an easy 7-8 yard pitch and catch. We need a secondary that makes the other team work for every yard. It should feel difficult to move the ball against us, but that can’t happen when everyone in the back 7 plays so soft. The tougher defenses always gets their hands on receivers and reroutes them/disrupts the timing. We don’t do that.

Does anyone think Clappy will allow us to lose to the ravens twice in the same year after beating Detroit and Kansas city?
Not going to happen.
Hope they have a better plan going in on both sides of the ball, because what they schemed previously “ain’t it.”

He’s not an anticipatory thrower. The majority of his yards are off script. If you keep him in the pocket he’s much less effective. That’s a big IF though. He’s very good at getting outside and then all hell breaks loose. He’s better than Josh outside the pocket.
I def would’ve agreed with this coming into the year, but he absolutely has strengthened this part of his game. He now throws when WRs aren’t even out of their breaks or aren’t yet looking for the ball. Tough dude to stop.

What a disappointing day of football.
Just now, RunTheBall said:My god do people here really think we are going to get to the Super Bowl going through Denver/Chicago/Pittsburgh? I mean come on. You have to play tough teams in the playoffs. If we can’t beat the Ravens at home we aren’t a Super Bowl team. We will put 3 LBs and a contained rush against Lamar and see if he can beat us with this arm. If we can’t, we don’t deserve to advance. Our team has over achieved this year, I hope Allen can go Super Josh for 4 games because that’s what it’s going to take. I think the odds aren’t likely but maybe the D will play on unexpected good game in the playoffs.
He’s at the stage of his career where he can win with his arm. I think the biggest key is getting a 2 TD lead on them which will take some of the rushing threat away.

And the Bills would’ve had the option to cut someone to make room for him on the active roster. If they’re fine with letting him go after working closely with him for all these months, maybe it’s not a loss at all. Could’ve cut someone like Mike White to make room for him.
