Who thinks we need to go back to the 4-3?
ajzepp replied to Beans90's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The thing is, you have to have a DC who has brains. That's what makes a guy like Belichick a great defensive mind...he's always been able to get the most out of his players because he's an innovator in terms of scheming. Perry Fewell exhibited some talent and game planning and putting our players in position to play well, even given our lack of talent. So far, George Edwards doesn't seem to have that same ability. I don't expect us to be the '85 Bears, but for cripes sake we have been like a damn sieve!!! No NFL team should be giving up chunks and chunks of yards on the ground like we did today. That was just embarrassing. -
Me too. He was a great locker room guy and he made a lot of plays for us. I'm happy that he got himself a ring last year. He was worth every penny it would have cost to keep him here.

I liked Nate a lot, but I'm glad we didn't break the bank for the guy. Jabari Greer was/is every bit as good, IMO....he's the one we should have kept.

Are Moats, Ellis, and Maybin not on the team anymor? -
who would you root for if the Bills left

Please tell your Giants to man up and beat the Padres today...I want Bobby Cox to get into the post season, but the Braves are crapping the bed at the worst possible time. -

So basically you're a Buffalo fan, but not a sports fan? -

That's ridiculous, man. I am a diehard Bills fan for the past 25 years, and if they ever left Buffalo I'd be devastated. But the fact of the matter is that I LOVE the sport of football, and there's no way in hell that there will EVER be a sunday I won't look forward to in the Fall/Winter for that very reason. Your analogy is like saying if your girlfriend leaves you, you'll swear off women forever. That's just absurd. -
Because he's a 5'4 scrawny little korean genleman who always gets turned down by women.

I know that some of you have taken interest in battlecam.com since I first mentioned it on here. Lately, there has been a "story line" that has just been out of control, and tonight will be the latest chapter. There is a 30 y.o. male named "Bourbon Drinker" (real name is Sean) who lives at home with his parents, has never been able to hold down a job, has no car, no money, and no life. He's also had very bad luck with women. Well, the eccentric billionare himself, Mr Alki David, has been giving Bourbon several challenges over the past few weeks, in exchange for which Alki has sent a lovely lady to Bourbon's home for some female attention. For the most part, Bourbon has failed these challenges miserably, while at the same time creating a situation where his casts are "must see (battlecam) tv". Tonight is the latest challenge, and perhaps his last chance, to get the girl. In the midst of his VERY neurotic and conservative parents, Bourbon has been tasked with the challenge of making a 3-course meal and serving a nice candlelit dinner to his attractive guest tonight. If he succeeds, he will be allowed to spend time with her afterwards. If he fails, he may never have this opportunity again, as the lovely lady will simply walk away when Alki gives her the word. It all goes down at 10:15pm PST, 1:15am EST....tonight.

You "angry" fans should just do what I, and a lot of others, have done... Go order the NFL RedZone channel. Enjoy the sport for what it is (i.e. the greatest sport in the world), allow yourself to take some interest in what's going on around the league, keep track of the best plays of the day (including every point scored), and stop stressing out watching every single play of the Bills games. It's like crack for NFL fans...plus, you'll still see every score the Bills put up!

Apparently you've never heard of Brian FREAKING Moorman?

Duly noted. And thanks for the kind words. We worked hard on that.

In my opinion, one of the confounding factors in the abortion debate, and the one thing that makes this a topic that will likely never be debated objectively, is the fact that this is one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) issues that feminists tie their movement to. I'm sorry, but if I were starting some sort of "Overweight Bills Fan" group designed to fight for our rights, the last issue I would hang my hat on would be baby killing. If it were packaged as an, "it's my right to do with my body as I please" thing only, I'd support it 100%. But the fact that abortion itself is so intimately tied into that, and arguably THE main issue linked to a woman's right to sovreignty over her body, it's hard for me to be on board with the movement. I think it's asinine how often the "rape" example comes up. That happens in less than 1% of all abortion cases. The fact is, both men and women practice sex haphazzardly and irresponsibly, and as a result there are millions of unwanted pregnancies. If I were a feminist, I'd want to focus on preaching and practicing responsible behavior, not the right to terminate a pregnancy.

Dude, I swear on my life that I was going to post about my pee habits, too!!! lmao There has got to be something going on here, cause I have had the exact same experience. Without the cpap, I was getting up 2-3x each night having to pee....with the bi-pap that dosen't happen at all...even when I wake up for a mask issue, I don't usually have to go either. We need to research this, cause I'm sure there is something to it. We'll have to see if Mead's pissing habits change if he ends up joining our cpap club! We're on a pretty similar schedule, too...I work from 12:30p-9p, so I'm typically up until about 3-4am, and then sleeping until about 11am. I'm definitely not a morning person, and I really can't relate at all to those who are lol. EDIT: This makes perfect sense... http://www.sleepapnea.org/resources/pubs/noct.html

People who are offended by Gilbert's comments dont "get it". I've had to explain this to a friend of mine before...his making a joke about Giraldo is a tribute, not insensitivity. Even if the guy was really hurting on the inside from losing his friend, he'd still make a joke about the situation.

Good luck, Mead! Let us know if you decide to enter the club lol

Hi Dean...things are working out pretty well, for the most part. I'm still overrun by the face farts, but I've learned to just shut down the machine, adjust the mask, and go back to sleep. It's almost like my face changes shape during the night or something...I dunno. but the noises that come out of this thing are pretty obnoxious. I woke up the other night when they started up, and saw my dog looking at me like, "dude, seriously....wtf is going on with your face?" I do love the fact that even if I only get 4 hr of sleep, I feel much, much better than I used to with 6-8 hr of sleep w/out the thing. The other night I had a really weird experience, though...when I went to adjust my mask, prior to turning on the machine, it felt as if I wasn't able to breathe with the mask on. I looked over the straps and the vents and everything on the mask, and it all checked out fine. But once I had it on, it felt like I was suffocating....first time that's ever happened. Last few nights have been great, though. Glad to hear you got a new machine...I definitely know what you mean about the pillow...you'll have to let me know if you find one that works well. I saw that my respiratory therapist had a few at his office, but I forgot to ask him about them. I have a memory foam pilow, and I can typically use that for sleeping on my side, but I suspect that's also part of the reason for the farts. How much sleep do you usually get each night? Do you sleep straight through or do you tend to wake up here and there?

lmao did anyone listen to jim mora on gottlieb/cowherd
ajzepp replied to Drew026's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep, he's always talking about the big markets, saying how when they're good that the sport is better...and how certain smaller market teams should just be expunged. My problem with the guy is when he takes it a step further and talks about how it's bad when a small market team makes the playoffs/championship game. I couldn't disagree with the guy more. People tend to love an underdog, and championships with underdogs/small market clubs have been some of the best matches/series ever. The guy has clearly never known what it's like to truly be a fan of a team...it's like he's a homer, but for all the larger market teams instead of just focusing on one....he's a slut homer. He makes some interesting points, which is why I tend to listen from time to time, but this guy is clearly not a "fan" of sports. -
Totally agree. I view stand up comedy as an art form, and while I can laugh once or twice at just about anyone, it's rare that I find a performer who can so effortlessly tap into their wit like this guy could. So many comics are cop-outs...they use devices and formulas and such...but to be truly quick and witty is pretty rare, IMO.

I think Zoe Saldana looks hot with that tail

There was a time several years ago when a handful of TBD'ers were always touting Dane Cook and how funny he was. I started watching some of his stuff and just never really felt the same way. I completely agree that someoene like Giraldo was in a completely different league. When I read what Bartshan wrote about how this guy attended some pretty good schools, it made perfect sense. The guy was clearly functioning on a higher level of intellect, and it often manifested as some very witty comedy. Dane Cook can't hold his jock.

Yep, I enjoyed avatar...looking forward to seeing it again. The 2nd viewing will be in 2-D in my home theater, so it'll be interesting to see if the lack of 3-D takes away from the experience or if it's equally as enjoyable. Definitely agree. I think the 2nd half of Ep.III is some of the best stuff from either trilogy
