  1. Well the way some people want a dome, now with a toilet seat collar, we can have a retractable roof toilet seat dome. Everybody wins!
  2. I was in the Atomic XXX Hot Wing eating contest at last year's Wingfest at the stadium. I ate 14 wings in 7 minutes. 7 minutes was because the winner finished his pan of 25 wings in those 7 minutes. And just for comparison's sake, the winner of the National wing eating contest ate 250 wings in 12 minutes. Joey Chestnut came in 2nd with like 235 wings in those same 12 minutes.
  3. My mock draft. Beane will draft some players at different positions Airseven, Iron Maiden Bills, and Einstein will say how stupid Beane is, and we won't win a game. What prize do I win for getting this right?
  4. But the naysayers are soooooo prevalent. They seem to take over good threads that if we didn't sign OBJ for $50 mil a year, then we wouldn't win any games. Honest mistake.
  5. Oh Christ. Not another one...
  6. On my cruise in February, both going to Ft Lauderdale and back, the most "Go Bills" my wife and I received by far was in Baltimore. We did get one "Go Bills" from a local in Antigua.
  7. Dave Kaval said on MLB Radio on SIriusXM, "The Las Vegas A's has a nice ring to it". The A's name is styaing. There's some talk that MLB will add 8,000 seats to Las Vegas' new Triple-A ballpark and the A's would play there for 3 years until their new stadium is built. That would be a max attendance of 18,000 which is still more than what they draw now in Oakland.
  8. So this must have been the major transaction Von was talking about
  9. 3rd party interests file dumbass lawsuits which greatly slows down the negotiating process. Cities like Vegas come in, and say "We don't have anyone who's going to file a lawsuit over bird migration practices, and we'll give you whatever you want". Done deal. As for the Warriors, the owners funded the $1.4 Billion Dollar Arena. They were dead set against Oakland right from the start. They wanted the arena in the City of San Francisco, and that's exactly what they got.
  10. The mayors of Oakland wanted to keep the Raiders and the A's. Outside interests file lawsuits against the stadium projects for environmental and other BS reasons, which delays the negotiations, and extremely draws out the process. Then the Raiders and now the A's get love from another city, and the Mayor badmouths the teams. The A's and the City had a solid agreement to build a new stadium on a city 2-year college campus about 3 or 4 years ago. Then at the last minute, the board of directors at the college shot that deal down after they had originally agreed to it. So like I said, some other entity outside of the teams and the city leaders screw this up.
  11. Go Oilers. Would love to see McDavid get his name on Stanley.
  12. https://www.mlb.com/athletics/news/a-s-buy-land-in-las-vegas-for-future-ballpark Las Vegas is always a fun time and the A's will add to that, but damn. So many friendships are more were made in Oakland at A's games. It's a shame both sides couldn't get the Howard Terminal deal done.
  13. With the 39th overall pick in the TSW Mock Draft 2.0, the Carolina Panthers select: Jalin Hyatt - WR - Tennessee The Panthers add the deep threat to pair with #1 overall pick Bryce Young to really open up the offense and test the defenses in the NFC South. The Saints and @BigdaddyinOrlando are on the clock
  14. But did Whaley or Dona-hoe have Kyle Brandt eat a 3 day old Chicken Wing live at the draft? Beane wins.
  15. Matt Arazia and Zach Ertz say "hold my beer"
  16. I'm asking because this is honestly I'm hearing the first of this. What Niagara Twitter account?
  17. And just how do you think you're paying for them Mister?!?!?!
  18. Like there was a 3 game stretch where Kelly won't throw to Reed because Andre took home a girl that Kelly was going after.
  19. I one time sat at a table with Thurman and this girl I worked with at Waterbeds and Stuff. She brought a blonde-haired friend along. At the end of the night, Thurman writes his number on a piece of paper and slides it into her front pocket, and lets his hand "linger" in the pocket for a few extra seconds. But I also went to high school with his wife Patti. She literally turned the other way with Thurman's extracurricular activities. They have a very healthy and strong marriage today.
