  1. !@#$ing Sabres. I can't believe I have to root for the God Damn Oilers. Give me another damn beer.
  2. It's elimination time, bitches!
  3. Have a drink
  4. I don't think he'll be the goat, but he has the chance to be a hero. The goalie that won game 7 minus 4 solid defensemen. That's the kind of story that becomes folklore for a city. Sure the other players need to step up, but you have to think he'll be taking more shots than normal and will need to make a number of great saves to win this game.
  5. Well Mr. Miller, tonight you have the chance to become a legend or just another Sabres goalie. Your call.
  6. Think of all the kids who would suddenly have an excuse to play video games. "Clean your room Billy!" "But mom, I'm training for the Olympics....three more hours."
  7. If McKee is out and the Sabres can pull this off, I'll name my first born Ryan Miller ......
  8. Good point. Kind of like those who drive Honda Fits. How many of them are actually Shriners?
  9. He's just confused that they can skate around the rink clockwise.
  10. It's actually a new rule that came from the no goal. All overtime goals are now reviewed.
  11. Go Oilers
  12. You don't buy that I'm an idiot? Me neither.
  13. See Edit.
  14. How many Sabres fans are there? Holy crap!? Sounds like a home game. Edit: FYI, I'm making reference to the dead silent arena of the last game before I get called an idiot.
  15. A 40 of Olde English?
  16. Teppo!!!!!!!
  17. God Bless, Paul. You'll be missed by many. Paul once sent this to me.....I think it's only fitting that I now send this back to Paul. Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air. . . . Up, up the long, delirious burning blue I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace Where never lark, or ever eagle flew — And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God. — John Gillespie Magee, Jr
  18. Send Tonya Harding-gram to Eric Staal?
  19. The new stadium was the first piece of that puzzle. Haven't heard any talk of it lately but I know it's still being pushed.
  20. No matter how it ends, Lydman has played a hell of a game and that should be acknowledged. Overtime playoff hockey, best action in sports.
  21. Does the Sabres power play exist anymore? This teams needs to learn to kick a team when it's down or it's not going to win the cup, and they're running out of time to learn that. I know a battered D doesn't help, but find some killer instinct boys.
  22. Much improved play. Sabres need to keep testing the stick side of Gerber, that seems to be his weakness. They also need to keep doing small things to get under Carolinas skin. Carolina makes stupid mistakes when the Sabres can do this.
  23. So how many Carolinians will actually be watching hockey with the Coca-Cola 600 on tonight? Something tells me this game might have some of the lowest local TV ratings for a playoff game ever.
