I am a 5 time superbowl champ in my madden franchise and i use a combinatin of 3-4, 4-3, and 46. I also frequently use the cover 2 and also do a lot of cornerback blitzes. Sometimes i just let madden pick my play...i wonder if he would just let fairchild and perry do that... I'm also big on goaline defense in obvious run situations. Unless you're playing good players, like my cousin, and they audible out of it. I'm sure we could pull that on Saban a few time before he gets the hang of it, being his first year of coaching and all. It took my cousin until madden 99 to figure it out. (we started in 94) Now that we're on the topic, i mostly draft for speed. no lower than 95 for the most part. Like madden says, you can't teach it. If we can get everyone of our players to run with 95 speed (don't know what the 40 time equivalent is) minus offensive and defensive lineman, i think we'd be AWESOME! Now that we're talking about speed. We should have Lee Evans line up at RB for like 3 or 4 games and test it out. I think he could outrun a lot of people on his way to like 200 yards per game. I really think we should do at least 3 or 4 ALL OUT BLITZES a game. I wish they had them in madden. I'd choose them all the time. Oh yeah. and safety blitzes. and corner blitzes. By the way, who do you guys control on defense? I used to control the right defensive end. But now i've switched to the free safety. I think i just grew up wanting to control Bruce (since i'm always the bills) and it just became habit. Oh yeah...the play "Post Corner" works EVERY TIME. It's been my go-to-play for years.

But the punt return? How do you classify that as "giving us the ball"? And then the final TD by Peerless? How do you account for that TD? I guess you should just forget about it since it was late in the game???? Something about Rivers just rubs me the wrong way. I really don't like the guy. And its not because he just beat us (something that usually happens after a loss). I've disliked him the entire season. I hope he fails in every game he plays from now on. I really do. Plus, where did they magically get 7 more points? 31-0? Give me a break. Rivers isn't that good.

i agree that jp didn't have a perfect game, but considering how terrible our run game was today, you have to tip your hat to the guy. Mcgahee is non-existant and JP still finds a way to lead the team to 3 TD drives drives. i liked his game.

i know a guy who works for the EA Sports developmental team and he said Madden 08 is really going to concentrate on the Special Teams AI portion of the game, and he told me they are seriously considering asking Moorman to be on the cover.

say what you want...but the coaching staff's game plan was good enough to win. 41 yard field goals should be made. you can say that the offense couldn't put the ball in the endzone, but it didn't need to. The gameplan was play conservative and put the pressure on the colts. this worked. as long as we didn't give up the big play on offense or defense, we were in the game. Jauron could have called some plays and taken some chances, but why? Why risk it, when all we had to do was kick a 41 yard field goal to go ahead? I guess hindsight is 20-20 and we all know that it wasn't enough in the end, but had we made that kick, this coaching staff would be looked at as genius.
